Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.
Have literally no idea how to feel. Some relief that he won't be at City, but I'd pretty much sorted the new look United team in my head, and was reasonably excited. Also helped me get over my underlying fear that Rooney will be washed up in 2 years time when his pace is completely gone (though, that goal against Arsenal 6 months ago wasn't half bad).
Personally, I'm still thinking this is 1 of 2 things:
1. Stretford played his hand and it blew up way bigger than he expected it to, and Rooney bitch slapped him into signing (though you could obviously argue it all worked out for Stretford anyway).
2. Rooney will be off in the summer, but we'll get real money this way.
Either way, he's going to have to be really, really good when he comes back. Maybe this will act as a catalyst, not just for our team to start playing again, but also for some signings.
