WHO THE F**K ARE MAN UTD, WHO THE F**K ARE MAN UTD, WHO THE F**K ARE MAN UTD....WHEN THE REDS GO MARCHING...ON ON ON :D

So harsh on Fletch. Can't believe the 'progressive' UEFA don't have any kind of appeals process. Great. Bet you if that was Messi or Raul they'd overturn it. Introduce a new rule...

And my respect for Adebayor just dropped off the planet. F*ck right off to Milan you stupid c*nt. He could very, very easily have broken carrick's leg, and for f*cking what? In the replay you can see he braces his body weight on his standing leg, straightens his foot studs up, over the ball. I almost think Fletcher should have run back onto the pitch and punched his smiling, lazy ass face in.

As to most of Arsenal, all credit, you stuck to a hard task. As the more cynical people pointed out, it would be interesting to see if, after all the plaudits Arshavin got this weekend, what Arsenal would do in the same situation but in a match that matters. Clearly the answer is, let the player be sent off while applauding the ref's wrong decision. Fair enough, but don't pretend you're anything you're not - that's like Gerrard talking about diving.

Almost perfect night.

Great performances from everyone for us, killed the game absolutely dead so who knows what might've happened if Gibbs hadn't slipped and Arsenal still had a chance.

I was absolutely overjoyed to watch Ronaldo tonight, he was sublime, exactly the type of performance I've/we've wanted from him all season. Two great finishes from him as well, seems like he's coming into form at the exact right time for us (the whole team is to be fair).

Glad to see Evra and Rooney get through the game without getting booked which leads onto the worst possible thing for poor Fletch. The guys been great all season, been there whenever we've needed him, never gives up and is always solid. Makes a great challenge, which admittedly really didn't need to be made with the score the way it was, but still, and now nothing can be done because UEFA are absolutely idiotic and won't allow it to be rescinded.

Mind you, if I remember correctly, the John Terry decision before our game with them at the Bridge earlier in the year, didn't Scolari say England is the only country where he's seen decisions like that get overturned? And as such, i wouldn't have really expected something like this to get rescinded in Europe.

Oh well, hopefully Fletch can receive a winners medal as recognition for his great contribution to the whole season in lieu of a great contribution in the final.

BRING ON ROME

Yeah gutted for Fletch big time.

The third goal was class, just like one we scored in the 4-0 against Bolton in 06/07 (the one where Neville got crocked). Superb counter attacking play.

Great performance, the third goal, especially, was outstanding.

Gutted as hell for Fletch as he has matured immensely this season.

But in terms of choosing a team for the final, we still have plenty of options.

It's just that Fletch is a big game player and would surely have been in the starting line-up.

It's not the end of the world for us, more the injustice of it. As the commentators correctly pointed out, had Fletcher done something illegal off the ball - then he could be punished based on video replay. But the opposite is not true.

Then again, given we're United, they would have no doubt upheld the suspension and banned Evra for 4 games ;)

Unlucky Arsenal, really unfortunate the way the opening few minutes went, you lot looked really up for it. Still a maturing team with great quality - will be a valuable learning experience. Not that many 21 year olds will have played in a CL semi!

CMON UNITED! Great performance, reminded me of what Milan did to us. Messi might be the better player but when on the big stage these days Cristiano Ronaldo keeps stepping up for us. Big game player no doubt about it.

We started of ok but the goal was out of nowhere? the 2nd was out of space! Ok Almunia may have done better but he topped his 39 yarder with a 41 yarder. after that Arsenal were playing out the game and we needed to just keep our heads. 3rd was Manchester United all over. brilliant goal. Fletcher won the ball and got sent off, what a load of shite. Surely the ref could have given the pen and a yellow and be done with it?

WEMBLEY, BARCELONA, MOSCOW....ROME can't wait. :))

looks like 2009 is the year of the devils yet again!

anyone know who won man of match?

should've been park imo

Park was good but you gotta say Ronaldo was immense today and is hitting top form when it really matters. Ronaldo's done the business tonight, lets see if Messi can do the same tommorow ;))

I think we should play pretty much the same team in the final and let Ronnie lead the line, he's just proved he's a huge threat up front and he really seemed to enjoy it tonight.

Its amazing how whoever steps into our side to fill in, they seem to do an amazing job for us. Evans, Fletcher, Park, all have world class players occupying their places yet they still perform on the big stages.
Park was brilliant today. If anyone was watching us for the first time, they'd think that spot on the wing was his permanant place in the squad.
And I know it has already been said enough but I'm so glad to see Ronaldo perform the way he did. His work on the pitch and his celebration really showed he's gotten over the whole Madrid dream. He really felt like "one of us" again.

I think he'll at least get a place on the bench. He's been even better this season than last and Fergie was gutted to have to leave him out last year so I think out of sentiment he'll guarantee him that, like he did with Scholes.

If its Barca, I think he'll go with Park. If its Chelsea, it'll be Berba.
I dont think Barca would allow Berbatov to play his game in the final third so we'd need someone like Park to stifle them instead.
I think Anderson is becoming more and more useful in that role just behind the front three. Some of his blind passes and through balls have set up a lot of our best attacking moves recently. He'd definately be in the squad.

What's everyone's opinion on the right back position?

Oshea for Chelsea or Barca.

Jonny's been good this season despite what most people say. He's not flashy but he gets the job done. Rafael cant tackle to save his fucking life and if Spurs can score twice by exploiting his flaws, imagine what Barca could do!

And Nev is just too undependable now I think, he's lost what little pace he had and we'll need it against Barca, though he might be ok against Chelsea as they dont have too much pace themselves.

Did anyone else in the US watching on ESPN2HD have to deal with commercials in the middle of the match? Not at half time but during play? I'm so pissed about it and I don't know whether it was ESPN doing that or my cable provider.

Yeah it's a bit of a pain but usually the football is advert free. I have no idea why there've been adverts in the last few Champions League games I've watched, but it seems like my local provider is adding them themselves, which is outrageous. They'll be receiving an angry email shortly, I've already notified ESPN in case they weren't already aware.

Anyone know where I can find a clip of Ronaldo's free kick by the way?

A mate missed the game and wants to see just how he managed to score from 41 yards out.
