I reckon if it was John Terry the charges would have been dropped already, and if it was Rooney he'd already be locked up... ;)

Anyhoo, I think we're doing just fine at the moment. Hopefully we can bang a few in against Derby next week, just to prove that we can finish chances!

Happy New Year to all United fans in this forum! Its been a pleasure ever since I joined this forum and will be looking forward for everlong.

Right,lets get down to business.What ever happened to our supposedly signed Bosnian starlets? I thought they will be transferred by 1st of Jan?...yet I read a rumour on teamtalk.com that goes like..

"Zoran Tosic has pulled the plug on his move to Manchester United after failing to agree terms. Agents claim United offered less money than Serbia winger Tosic, 21, is earning at Partizan Belgrade. "

Bummer.
 
I remember reading a few weeks back that he rejected a weekly wage somewhere between £2500-3000 a week.
That's not bad for an unknown 21 year old, though if he's more motivated by money than playing for a big side (and earning a better contract after proving himself) then it's his loss...
There's a rumour going around that Adem Ljajic (the other Serb youngster) won't join us if Tosic doesn't sign.

It does seem a little low, though maybe we'd offer a better deal after a couple of months if he's good enough?

I could be wrong and that's not the reason, it would help if I could remember where I read it!
 
Finally...We will get another option with Tosic now.A natural leftfooter,he will be more useful on the left wing than Nani,apart from Ronaldo...classic number 14 for a winger too.Should be a useful addition.
 
Not sure how I feel about the signings. The 16m figure is apparently just press bullsh*t, it's more like 8 with loads of incentives. And hell, like the Carrick signing, if we end up paying the full price it'll be because he played a key role in us winning hte big trohpies, so money well spent.

I really think Nani has the talent, just not the experience, calmness and footballing brain necessary to be our full time winger. I like Park but no way does he offer enough against weaker sides. And Giggs should be a bit part player, period. So we have no one on the left, and if Ronaldo gets injured, we're even more f*cked. So if bringing in Tosic gives Nani the kick up the ass he needs, great. If it means he leaves...not sure how I feel about that.

Heard that the younger one is the main man though...exciting...
 
It can only be a good thing in my opinion. They're obviously promising players for us to be interested in them and Fergie said we'd been watching them for a year. Tosic is a full international already and will offer us natural width on the left which we've been missing lately, especially with O'Shea at left back.

I quite like this idea of signing youngsters in pairs, we had Nani and Anderson coming from Portugal together, Fabio, Rafael & Possebon all came together/nearly at the same time, and now these 2 Serbian lads will come more or less together (I know Ljajic is going back to Partizan for a bit), it must make it easier for them to settle in to the new country and culture so they can get playing football quicker!

I wouldn't have thought so after reading what Fergie said

"Hopefully he does well but we will have to give him time because he has not played since December 10.

From what I know Tosic is going to be a squad player and probably been signed to give Nani something to think about. Ljajic is the one we should all be looking out for. he's a Attacking midfielder with comparisons to Kaka.
