We dont get alot of weekends like that!

While we're crowned World Champions....

city are beaten by the worst team in the league and stay in the bottom three...

then just to top it off...

arsenal and liverpool draw!

is it too much to ask for an everton win tonight?

I'm split on that one. A Chelsea win might be better... just in case we fuck up over the 2nd half of the season. Can't have the scousers winijng it, can we?

Liverpool won't win it mate, I was worried to be fair 2-3 weeks ago but they've been rubbish lately, their last 5 PL matches have been 4 draws and 1 win. Are fixtures in the 2nd half of the season are much better and will play into our hands.

Chelsea drawing would suit me just fine, and I reckon its pretty realistic.

Doubt Everton will win, mainly due to a lack of strikers, but I can see them being able to shut down Chelsea up front.

Still, we'll see. It's been a pretty decent weekend for us, no reason why it can't get any better.

Really hard work.As expected,Stoke made it difficult for us.Jonny Evans puts in a great shift in place of the injured Rio.

Sir Alex bringing in Berbatov for O'Shea was a bold move he hadnt made for the longest time.Giggs had to play wingback for a good 15mins or so and a 4 pronged attack was unleashed. It worked well with us getting all 3 points but a better team could still hold us for a draw.

Fully satisfied still, next up its Boro at home on a Monday night.

Its all good in our camp right now. 1 off the top if we win our games in hand, still in all competitions, already wrapped up the World Club Cup, should have the Carling Cup in the bag. The only thing I'm worried about right now is the two games against Inter.

Personally i thought it was a dreadful performance and we were lucky to escape with a win. The problem being that this is typical of the performances we have been giving away from home and i just cant put the blame at the players because these are the same players who performed so well last season. Personally i think the lack of Queiroz is clearly showing.

I think you're right. We just don't seem to be able to break teams down too easily. We're going to get a lot of games where we don't get the break we got yesterday and we'll get nothing. Bright side is, they had the next best home record to us, so it's not an easy place to pick up points.

Rooney and Ronaldo should've been booked for petulance
Rooney for being the aggressive p.o.s that he is
Ronaldo for being the crying pussy that he is (he's lashed out how many times now?)

TERRIBLE REFEREEING OMG

Name a few Stoke players, too. It wasn't just Ronaldo and Rooney that were aggressive.

I can understand why Ronaldo dives sometimes now, when the alternative is getting kicked to fuck. Sure, it's cheating to win a free kick or better, but so is kicking someone to break up play (or legs).
Rough tackles have been accepted in England as it's a "man's" game, but it needs to be stopped in the same way as diving. In fact, you get rid of one and the other would probably disappear ,too. It's no coincidemce that it's we English that have complained most about diving over the years, because we've been the victims of 'foreign diving cunts'. We made it easy for them with our 'English kicking'.

Quoted for the Truth.

Referee was only seeing Red and what i wanted to see, Manchester scoring.
Ronaldo could have been shown the red card for trying to kick that guy that got eventually sent off. He passed and ran into people to gain a freekick, dive when some1 touched him, the only real one that he got was the one for the red, and still he screamed like he got shot or something.
Im portuguese and i have to say that Ronaldo is depressing to watch.

Yeah he's getting to big for his boots but the pressure must be pretty intense and I dont think he's handling it especially well but it must be hard.

From another thread
Rooney's one was a strange one, the linesman didnt seem to see it though and it's hard to tell whether Rooney was just trying to shake him off or whether he did throw an elbow.

About Ronaldo, now I am far from a fan of his but if you watch the replay of that incident, Wilkinson is pushing his studs into Ronaldo's ankle when they are on the floor then as he stands up he kept it there, which is why Cristiano locked his feet round to trip him or whatever.

And the officials definitely didn't favour United when they disallowed Tevez's goal for offside when he wasn't. They didnt show that on MOTD though for some reason.

Rooney deserved the red to be fair, Ronaldo on the other hand didnt, The player convienently left his foot in and Ronaldo reacted to that. Im sure both will pick up bans soon as both have been having niggling incidents in the last few weeks.

Evans was pretty poor for the 1st 25 minutes, Hopefully we'll see a better performance against Inter otherwise Ibra will tear us a new one.

Ronaldos showing all the signs of frustration and again alot of the blame must lie at the manager and coaches. If you analyse last season you'll see Ronaldo would play on either wing, upfront or through the middle throughout the whole match yet this season all hes done is stay stuck on the right for 90% of the match.

both deserved red imo, Ronaldo has now kicked out twice in recent weeks and i think both should have been red cards as it's a blatant attack off the ball, how the fuck the fa didn't step in after his kick out at dawson i don't know and this one's the same, he's getting away with it so he'll continue to do it, same goes for his diving. He's a petulant idiot and i think he could become a liability if he doesn't get rid of this attitude that he's above the law.

As for Rooney, the lad's a complete idiot, he will never learn and he will continue to pick up suspensions as Ferguson seems to be happy to let him get on with it and make excuses for him.

Yeh difference is Ronaldo gets the shit kicked out of him and dives, also never mentions saying divers are killing the game like a hypocrite. Whats Gerrards excuse? apparantly divers are ruining the game yet he doesnt mind doing it when it works for him and to be fair i rarely see him getting kicked about.

Rooney has the occasional lash out at people but its always highlighted alot more cause its Rooney.

Speaking of suspensions how about Evra getting 4 games for defending himself from racism. The FA are a joke.

There is a difference on diving twice to three times per game and diving maybe 3 times per season. Ronaldo is the biggest diver in history of football and will always be marked as a diver. At least Gerrard doesn't walk away like a scared schoolgirl in the a middle of a English Premier League match.

No, he punches people in bars and gets arrested or threatens to leave the club to get more money (a couple of years ago I admit).:)

Making a habit of this. 1-0 again. We will come unstuck in one of these games if we're not careful. Liver**** don't look like they're going to drop too many points at the moment, so the pressure is really on us.

We'll be fine. We need a few 1-0s in the season to test our determination. We always show our class when we beat someone 4-0 but its games like this one where we show our character.

Hopefully we'll start winning by 4 or more when we play Chelsea in two weeks....I can hope can't I?

Anyways, again we've had to dig out a result, and thank fuck. Makes sure my confidence in us stays intact. Two games in hand with the ability to go second and a point behind Liverpool is still fine by me, especially considering we get to play them at Old Trafford later in the season.

Question about Evra's ban...
Why is he missing games when the incident was not even during a game?
Couldn't you then argue that Gerrard should be banned for getting arrested?

you guys really think decisions go against you cause you're united?
i mean it's cool to have a siege mentality but it just doesnt seem right to me

I seriously believe United have gotten away with a LOT because they're United. Maybe not so much these days but certainly in the last 10 years.

More Ferguson spouting his mouth off and arguing with refs actually.

There have been quite a few gone against when others have got away with it though. A few examples... Rooney's red in Amsterdam, Ruud's stamp on A.Cole when there were plenty of others that were not punished after the fact (Brown on Giggs comes to mind).
Obviously we're going to be biased as well as United fans, but it does seem that we get more shit than others. Just last weekend, the only players that were mentioned for violent conduct in the Stoke game were Rooney and Ronaldo. I bet 99% of people can't even remember the names of the guys who kicked Ronaldo that day or the guy who was sent off.
