Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

And where did you find that Frankie sign mate, you should be ashamed of yourself, searching for homo-erotic scouse slogans from the 80's

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I found it on the Utd site called "We wish we won it five times" ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Nah, that's a different one, you'll find the link on the "We were a one man team and he's left us, now we're relying on an ex-Liverpool player" ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I dont think Owen being an ex-Liverpool player is the only reason Pool fans are getting so wound up, I think they can actually see what a good piece of business it was and wish Rafa had done it.

I'm not WUMing i seriously think that. Whether they'd admit it or not, whether they even realise that's why they're feeling so angry/bitter about it, that's why. If it was Neil Mellor the subject would have dropped by now. Nobody was willing to take a chance on Owen, then SAF looked at the facts and got a player he's always fancied for nowt and the Scouse can't fucking believe it! :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

owen is terrible even tottenham didnt want him he is a joke, btw his brochure is hilarious unless u believe he is trully 'young, charismatic, global, and clean & fresh'

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

look we r a good club ok there are thousands of clubs in england at least we have 1 more cups than arsenal recently so do not be mean. btw we won the 1st league/cup double so we r rather incredible. also aaron lennon is faster than god

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I heard Michael Owen will be getting a bigger trophy cabinet now that he has joined us.His old cabinet was rather small with no premiership winners medal and 3rd-5th placing medals that he won during his glorious years with Liverpoo.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If you are talking about speed...we got it in Valencia, who in my opinion is much much better than Aaron Lennon in almost all attributes.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Lennon is only Faster and more agile, that's all!
Valencia is more hardworker, better shooter(especially from distance), much better passer,...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Btw, Obertan is very talented. More of a second striker though. Dare I say, similar to Ronaldo when he arrived.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm stoked about Obertan - have been impressed in the U21s I saw with France. Looks like the kind of raw talent that gets the fans excited.

Two concerns:
1. He's not ready yet.
2. What does this say for Nani?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Obertan is very talented, i start to see him potential at 17 years old, but i don't see a major progression 3 years after, i hope become much better with Man Utd, can be (with alot of work and luck) a mix of Ribery and C.Ronaldo.

Haven't seen him once myself, maybe 1 or 2 Bordeaux games but I don't remember him. Potential Ronaldo replacement then Abhi?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He cant even get into the Bordeaux team it seems he was loaned out.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Don't forget Beckham was loaned out early in his career as well ;)

Well it's very difficult to say that he's going to score 30+ goals a season in a few years. Even Ronaldo struggled to score early on. But he's very talented, probably on the same level as Ronaldo when he was 17. He's got the natural athleticism of Ronaldo as well. Still, it's impossible to call him a Ronaldo replacement, whether he has the desire to improve like Ronaldo, we don't know, but I think Ferguson has the same idea.

He's spent the season on loan at Lorient, and looked good, and he stood out for the French U-21 alongwith Ngog and Sissoko.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Thing is, like I said before, almost everyone took it as gospel that he was a crippled hasbeen, it was just that and nobody bothered to think any different and the guy was a laughing stock. I dont mind admitting I thought it too, but it's wrong. It's sad that he had to do a brochure to prove he wasn't as bad as has been made out, but that shows the kind of world we live in at the minute. He got a couple of hundred grand in damages off the Express a couple of weeks ago for a story they printed saying he was considering retirement cos his injuries were so bad. It's ridiculous really and could've been the difference between him fading away and what's happened now where he's got the chance to win trophies, score goals for a top team and get back into the England team for the World Cup.

It's sad how much power the pathetic wankers, sorry, "journalist's" have over everything in this country.
