Typical bandwagon fan. Now that Ronaldo and Tevez are gone, I expect all the gloryhunter fans to stop supporting United and turn to Barca/Madrid. Surely watching the likes of Fletcher and Berbatov will not satisfy them.

Time for a summer cleaning in United's fanbase. :BYE:

If we didn't have Fergie I'd be worried. But have full faith in the old master. He'll get us through this summer.

I keep waking up hoping for a day like two summers ago when Nani, Ando and Hargreaves were just announced together. Out of nowhere.

Were obviously waiting for Ronaldo to be officially be a Real Madrid player. I think 1st of July will be when things kick off.

Its okay we still have John O'shea:P Hoping we get benzema and valencia and would I jizz in my pants if we got de rossi not gonna happen tho.

Good point. Imagine if we had spent all the money and then Ronaldo turned around and rejected the Madrid contract.
(Well actually that'd be awesome with all the extra players plus Ronaldo.:P)

So it looks like Benzema wants to stay at Lyon for atleast another year before moving. I think we already know how this is gonna go. He'll string us along for a year and then f*ck off to Madrid. Either that or he'll have a bad season and a bad World Cup and then come to us and say "You guys still want me, right?"

Well I'd hope we get some form of deal in place, whereby he stays at Lyon this year cause he wants to, then comes to us after the WC.

Kun is quality, but I'd be surprised.

I really think Fergie is going to try and do this with what he has and some relative unknowns. Just to show how pimp he is ;)
Plus if it doesn't work out, he just sold the best player in the world at a ridiculous profit, and no one wins the league 4 times in a row. Bit of a win win.

I'm beginning to get more optimistic that Tosic will be good enough to at least contribute this season. He's not a world beater, but plays intelligently and skillfully, in a Serbia side that is pretty woeful (at the U21s). Will be very keen to watch him in preseason.

And it goes without saying that Nani is another one to keep an eye on. Not sure if I can back it up with stats, but saw on another forum that in their first two seasons at United, Nani and Ronaldo amassed almost exactly the same number of goals+assists, despite the fact that Nani played almost half as frequently. Imo Nani definitely deserves a shot at playing as our starting winger. Lord knows he'll contribute more of a threat than park...

You do kinda feel that Sir Alex didnt give Nani the attention Ronaldo got. Maybe things will change for the better now.

It's stupid to even think Nani will ever be as good as Ronaldo.

Nani for me, has the potential to be a very good, maybe like Simao (though I doubt it). He's very average ATM.

Benzema should be the one for you. You need to replace Ronaldo's goals, and Benzema's got potential to be as good as that.

I totally agree with you about Nani. He just doesnt seem like he has it to be the world's best or anywhere near it.
But then look back to Ronaldo when we first signed him. He was a little smaller physically,( had a funny haircut lol,) had lots of raw talent, made the wrong decisions on the pitch like shooting when needing to pass, only used to play about 15-20 games for the first couple of seasons I think. But look at how much he has changed in the 6 years here. He physically looks very different to before, mentally a different player, his influence on our game has improved by like 4 times, the diving has been cut down, overall he's just a different person.

IMO, the only real thing that Ronaldo has over Nani is the desire to be the best. Nani wont improve over a year but if he can motivate himself and is willing to learn then he can be (almost) as good as Ronaldo is at the moment.
