Manchester United Thread

Depor didn't outplay Milan the first 20 minutes. Milan were the stronger side for the entire match, they just got stronger and stronger untill the 4-1. Depor were never in control..

Look what your midfielder said:

03/24/2004. Ryan Giggs commented Milan's brilliant performance against Deportivo, stating that no one can stop the rossoneri from reaching a second consecutive final.

The Manchester United winger declared: "I watched the match between Milan and Deportivo La Coruna on tv and I was very impressed by the rossoneri. They were already my favourites to win the Champions League and yesterday's match confirmed this. I can't see how anyone can stop them from reaching the final." :D

Well in that case every United supporter should think the same

Give it a rest...

man utd have had a blip year
they have the funds, manager and players to come back stronger than ever next year
which im sure they will

I dont really see it as blip mate..

How can a team play in Europe, have a top three finish pretty much guaranteed and be in a semi final of an FA cup and call it a blip..

I think thats an insult to other clubs and there supporters, ya see people think we're arrogant cos we expect to win everything but really its outsiders that have come to expect it from us, and in turn use it to shoot us down when we dont win any tropies.

Any supporters over 25 know the script, or should know the script about our history anyone under that age that has got carried away with all the silverware over the past 10 years could save themselves alot of heartache in the future and learn about the club that profess to follow...

You say your in europe and in the top three etc yeah you are, but your the bigest club in the world.
if sunderland were 3rd and in europe i wouldnt get to sleep every night with excitement, becuase it would be by far exceeding my expectations.
you are expected, not just by the fans but by the board and everyone related to man utd to acheive succes.

you got hammered off man city 4-1, knocked out of europe by Porto, 9 points behind arsenal, currently third in the league and your most important defender is currently serving an 8 month ban for missing a drugs test. course your not in a blip....

a season when man utd dont win anything is a bad season for man utd and that is fact, whatever way you look at it

Well you talking from outsiders point of view and picking and choosing what you want to look at...

We've beat city TWICE this year, beat the scousers...

Went out of Europe by the narrowest of margins and a terrible decision by a linesman..

Currently third in the league although 2nd is a realistic target so its possible we'll get an automatic place for next years CL.

All this on the back of selling two world class players
getting a lot of new youngsters in the team,
the Rio saga,
Fergies of field problems,
Kenyon leaving,
Quieroz (sp) going to Madrid..

Its all relative mate, and if we can get thru that and still get in Europe next year and maybe lift the FA Cup the season is far from being a failure, it could've been alot lot worse and its gonna take more than outsiders to tell me different.

And as for YOUR fact that its failure if we dont win anything, like I said its outsiders who put this on us, we still make shed loads of money, the year Arsenal won the double we still made a huge profit so the board know that money is gonna come in regardless, if we didnt play CL football for two seasons then you'd have a point, other than that your way off the mark.

a season when Man Utd don't win anything is a bad season for man utd and that id a fact

Please don't tell me Mick you actually believe that your opinion is a fact that would be very naive. Especially as you cannot know what a Man Utd supported would class as a bad season

Sheer ignorance i'm afraid, but we're more than happy to hear your opinions. If you need a lesson in opinion/facts search on google it will explain the difference for you ;)

Especially as you cannot know what a Man Utd supported would class as a bad season

i know a few people who support utd, they class winning nothing as a bad season. point proven

anyway, im not going to get into an argument about what you will or wont achieve. we all have our opinions and becuase im not a man utd supporter does not make my opinion less valid
your opinions about Sunderland are your own as are mine about United
we'll have a gander in here on Sunday after the match and see what you think of the season ;)

I think that in a roundabout way you have apologised to mistaking a FACT with an OPINION. You have also proven nothing because you claim to know a few Utd supporters.... please

if sunderland were 3rd and in europe i wouldnt get to sleep every night with excitement,

No worries there then...

Maybe it will stop you wetting the bed mickey

Bollocks, how is it a point proven when you've had a two United supporters on here tell you otherwise.

Anyway what we will or wont achieve isnt the issue its the fact that your trying to tell us we've failed this season, and thats utter sh*te cos the only thing you've got measure that against is OUR OWN record in the league, compare that to your own team and by your own admittance your comments would be a lot different...

Its a joke, at first people compared us to the old lfc sides, we've matched their record in the league so the only thing they can use against us now is US!!

i have not said you failed this season, ive never ruled you out of winning the title or winning the FA cup.
at the moment man utd ARE going through a dip in form and arent playing well, thats my point

guess you thought wrong then ;)
its gonna be Madrid or Arsenal v Milan final imo
both matches will be fantastic

what so when Depor scored first and pretty much ran the midfield in the first 15-20 mins you we're still thinking that Milan will win it??

Thats some insight..

I s'pose either way the final looks mouth watering and is gonna be a big improvement on last years!!

That's because there is only 1 Italian team with a chance of being there :) ;)

gooner gaffles from manutd.com

"If you buy a man who is half-dead, everybody may be happy off the field, but on the field you'll have major problems."
Arsene Wenger realises his folly after one bargain buy too many.

“As long as no-one scored, it was always going to be close.”
Wenger redefines the art of profundities. Not content with that...

"Of the nine red cards this season we probably deserved half of them."
Wenger disregards the laws of maths.

"I am a Nigerian and I will remain a Nigerian until the day I die."
Nwanko Kanu stays loyal to his roots. He has no choice, mind.

"There's still 45 minutes to go - for both sides, I would guess."
Arsenal legend Brian Marwood ladels out football equality.

"I usually don't have sex. Not on the same day. I say no thanks. I guess that, mentally, I want to keep the feeling in my feet and that's why. I think the feeling sort of disappears out of your feet if you have sex before. I have tried before and my feet felt like concrete when you are supposed to kick the ball."
Freddie Ljungberg explains his pre-game abstinence. In detail.

"I like the comfort of jeans, and the elegance of a suit. But above all, I love the sensuality and sexuality that emanates from leather. It multiplies one's sensations tenfold."
Former Gunner Emmanuel Petit oozes fashion tips

"I wish people could live on the Moon so we could send all the crazy people there"
Our Manu puts forward the idea of purging the unhinged, before...

"I'd like to be a dog. Dogs are nice. They can sleep any time, they wag their tails and on top of that they can get stroked all the time."
Petit contemplates a career move after leaving Highbury.

And finally...

"You will laugh when I say this, but I did not see the incident."
Arsene delivers the classic Wengerism

yea butatista it was from the offical site

Well I am astonished!!! I really am!

This sort of stuff is funny, don't get me wrong, but I would have expected it from an un-official site not the OFFICIAL one!!! I dunno what you think about it but to me its very un-professional and just goes to prove we really have p1ssed you off this season and got under your skin.

I seriously have never, ever seen anything like this before about another club on an Official site.

How about the Utd site a fortnight ago when they had the spook Keegan video.

Didn't hear about that....what was that about.

I'm not sure for certain but I think it involved using the "I would love it video" for some piss taking purposes. I'm not sure exactly what for though, maybe someone else could clear things up.
