Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

What have I said since the beginning of the season? I wish the United supporters in this thread would stop getting turned on by the idea of all these "potential" World Class players. You can't always buy success. We have have always been a team that relies on the whole SQUAD getting goals; look at when we got Ruud; he was prolific but every fan sitting with me at the Stretford End always used to want more goals more different players. Look at United at the moment: Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, Vidic & Nani are all chipping in IMPORTANT goals at various points of the season (Tevez at Lyon, Vidic at Everton etc).

Fergie likes the fact that we have a settled squad, don't try & fix something that isn't broken.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Just before Liverpool got their second united had a clear goal not given cos the linesman didnt think it crossed the line which it clearly did. 20 seconds later while some of the united players were protesting Liverpool got their second.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Our Premiership fixtures:

Newcastle AWAY (5-1)

Fulham AWAY

Derby AWAY.

Three away fixtures in a row. What the fuck is all that about?!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Good point mate, that really needs to be addressed. I was watching the Man United Champions Review 2007 DVD last night and it was the same in Feb last year - the pitch was shite.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

The problem with huge grounds like OT is that, our pitch rarely gets the right amount of sunlight the grass needs. The weather in Manchester does not help either.I am sure the groundsman is having a hard time maintaining a pitch with such short lifespan.I do not think we have time to relay the pitch if it is not done by now. After the Fulham game,we play Lyon in the CL on tuesday night and then Pompey in the FA Cup on Saturday.
I hope I am right with stats this time round! ;P

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Spot-on this time Phrase! ;)

But I am sorry, the groundsman do a great job at the Emirates, St.James Park & Anfield week-in, week-out. They are big stadiums too. Our groundsman should be sacked.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I think they were coming back from injuries mate - we gave Neville a reserve game a few weeks back.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

so do you guys fancy steven gerrard at your club , few whispers going around started by sky sports news , this could actually happen, as stevie is sick of failure and in his words "maybe next year" your welcome to him , his attitude sucks and behaves like he is bigger than liverpool and all of europe watching so you got competition. Sky sports think he wants to go to spain, his bloody wag does more like.....done....sorry.:SIL:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

We don't want OR need Steven Gerrard. Scholes & Anderson are just fine thanks.

oh i dont know mike, that would be pretty nice if scholes retires... anderson to link the play and gerrard and ronaldo can probably play some nice one two all over the pitch...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

The current God and captain of the Scousers to play for us? Wont happen. As simple as that.Hell,we didnt allow an argentinian to move to merseyside, why would they allow their home-bred supremo to come to us? Wont happen.End of.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Maybe 2 or 3 seasons ago i would have said yes but not now..he isn't performing to the standards of before and thats why the scouse fans want to cash in...seems like Real or Chelsea if he was to move..but NEVER to United he just isn't "one of us" ;)
