Manchester United Thread

I am not sure. I think if Torres is on his day we could end up on the wrong end of the result! Hoping not of course. Im hoping we play really well and take the game to Liverpool (which is what you need to do, Reading did that recently).

I predict a boring cagey affair. I hope I'm wrong.
 
Last time out though we were very lucky NOT to lose. If Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch had found their shooting boots we would have got beat 2-0 or maybe 3-0!! I still think if we have title winning ambitions this is the sort of game we MUST win against one of the BIG 4.

we've already beat chelsea and taken an away point at arsenal...

non of the others have won yet!!
 
Have to agree with taking the game to pool to win, although some fortunate freekick corner can do the same. But of all the games Ive seen this season the times liverpool have looked most vunerable is when teams go for them and show no respect. Hassle and be physical and you can get us off our game. Not sure whether you would try it though, the lesser teams that do usually do it as they know they have little to no chance by sitting back and letting liverpool play. Manu on the other hand are equipped enough to do that and be dangerous on the counter, especially with our pedestrian defense.

Could go either way.
 
Personally it depends on who Rafa fields as a United fan i hope he reverts back to the one man uptop with Voronin and Kuyt as wide men, I think that would definetly benefit us , but if he really goes for it and has Masch,Gerred combo with Torres and another then we might find it a long game, I actually cant see us NOT scoring i think thats what makes me very confident about games against the top clubs lately because i think teams will need more than 1 to win and Liverpool can get more than 1 but on the counter with Ronaldo, Giggs and Anderson who are all very quick from midfield can hurt them... i Predict a 1-1 with us scoring first but Liverpool having more of the chances and getting 1 back
 
Predicting a huge tumble from C Ronaldo in the box with the nearest opposing player about a foot away in the 89th minute of a boring 0-0 affair, the penalty will be saved but the rebound will come to C Ronaldo and hit him in the chest, he will go down like he's been sniped as soon as the ball strikes him and complain that the goalkeeper meant to do it, the referee will then blow for another penalty and this time Tevez will send the goalkeeper the wrong way but end up hitting the post, Ronaldo will do a 3rd and final tumble in the box just after the ball ends up going out wide, grabbing Carraghers arm and pulling it up towards his face then down like a sack of potatoes, red card sends Jamie away into the bath and this time Tevez makes no mistake, 1-0 to United, Ferguson has 3 points and is pleased as punch he gives out incentive bonuses to his players for cheating the ref.

I predict either a tight Liverpool win, or a comprehensive United trouncing.....

I'm warning you though, my prediciton skills are shite. So it will prolly be a comprehensive pool victory.

Either way monday morning will either be bliss or agony. Working in London, you can't move an inch without bumping into a gloating United fan.
 
What a load of crap that was, besides a couple of vdsar flaps the utd defense were never troubled. Equally liverpool's defense was hardly ever troubled either besides that late counter with the rooney miss. As usual another crap match between these two. Atleast the ref had a decent game though :D

Top of the league, Ferdinand MOTM, we beat the Scousers AGAIN at "Fortress Anfield". We aren't Marseille!

I say this week-in, week-out. They don't play the beautiful game. Just a bunch of overrated signings all thrown into a 4-4-2. Even Torres was crap today.
