i was watching the game here in the states, and in the 86th minute Directv stopped the service!!!!
I missed Ruud's goal! But i gotta say our defense looks so shaky without Rio....

mate i think shaky is too kind, we were at best bad... the rest of the match was a piece of shit, and i guess you missed it, but im not gonna rub it in, ronaldo got the ball on the right side of the pitch after a good build up, and crossed the ball whilst it was very close to his feet and curled it brilliantly putting it on RVN's head on the far post... good ending, but we ve gotta do better against "city" (ok NF?;))

We gotta do better against the `Boro tonight first. Come on boys, 3 points . . .

Heats on, any slips ups could give us a defeat's lead. Don't expect you to do anything but win though. Still that boro are a good side, only other team in England to beat us this season and they did it twice ;)

I wonder if manu will make any changes at the back, maybe g.neville or keane in at the back to steady that shaky defense?? Boro do have a good record against MU and can cause problems against any team, so the pressure is well and truly on... :)

I got a funny feeling about tonight. I had to give my ticket away, work won`t give me tomorrow off :(

I dunno why, I think `Boro will cause an upset.

Praying we don`t lose.

I had to give mine up aswell cos im working till 7, im there on saturday so I cant grumble.

Any news on tonites lineup, I think its unfair to criticize Wes Brown after he's been out for so long but I would prefer to see Sheasy play at CB and maybe move P.Neville or Fortune to LB.

Not sure who he's gonna have playing upfront, I want to see Saha and Ruud upfront, no reason why Saha cant play cos he's cup-tied for Saturday but Fergie might rest Ruud, s'pose we'll have to see....

Oh Ninja, nice one for the Munich Memorial!!!!

Boro team news for 2nite:
Ugo OUT
Boateng OUT
Ricardinho OUT
Ricketts OUT
Greening OUT (thankgod)

Gonna be a tough midfield battle with George Boateng, and Ugo is a huge blow for us. Fingers crossed Riggott and Southgate can get to grips with Saha/RVN quick

No probs mate, I never forget that date. Respect to the greats of the past . . . . .

Old boy talking shite:

Rangers defender Henning Berg insists the Ibrox club operates on the same level as his former employers Manchester United.

Such a statement is sure to raise eyebrows on both sides of the border, especially as United beat Rangers home and away in the Champion League this season.

Last season's treble winners are not even ruling the roost in Scotland either as Celtic have already established a huge lead in the title race.

But Berg, who also won medals with Blackburn, insisted that the club's problems - poor form on the pitch and massive debt off it - should not distort the true picture.

He told Rangers News: "With no disrespect to Blackburn, Rangers are a massive club and I would definitely say as big as Manchester United here in Britain.

"Obviously United have a bigger support outside the UK but the supporters here at Rangers, the tradition and the winning culture makes it such a fabulous place to be.

"I believe they are on the same level."

United fans had taunted their rivals during the 3-0 Champions League win at Old Trafford, suggesting Alex McLeish's side was more Sunday League standard than Premiership class.

But Berg recalled that the first game at Ibrox, which United won 1-0, had been much closer.

He said: "I will never forget that night. That was a moment that I will look back on and think 'I really played in that game'.

"Not only that but I really enjoyed the match and although we lost it was a fantastic occasion.

"United won but I think we gave a good account of ourselves and were a little bit unlucky."

Well I was unlucky enough to visit glasgow, well govan anyway, the west end bit is like a different place, and apart from the numbers of supporters they are no where near our level, especially as supporters.

And when they came down here, well what a joke that was, all the big talk on the rangers websites about the thousands coming down, did they turn up, did they fuck and with the lack of alchohol they barely made a whisper all nite...

So give it a rest Berg!!

is riggot playing well at the mo?

Riggott is in the form of his life at the moment, but its the movement of RVN im worried about. Fingers crossed we get something anyway eh Man Yoo ;)

Well said, Vann. I didn`t realize there was an alcahol ban at the Champions Leage matches until I wanted to drown my sorrows at the Deportivo game, few seasons back (I won`t say much more about that evening) when I wanted a few beers to drown my sorrows. The bloke serving me said all the pumps were turned off. I replied "Why!??" He then told me that alcohol was banned at all Champions League matches. It was a bad ending to a bad evening. Anyone know why this rule is implicated?

Feck me that was a night of mixed emotions, Ruud's sublime chip from what seemed a ridiculous angle and Barthez and Brown falling over each other....

Thats the night I realised how feckin good a player Ruudy is and how feckin shite Barthez was/is.....

Still not 100% Ruud will play tonite, big game on Saturday and Saha is cup tied. He might be tempted to rest Ruud, its a hard one, we need the three points but we need to beat siddy for pride, my lifes hell if we dont beat the berties ....
