Manchester United Thread

Yeah i know m8 just wish we had got a quality defender in on loan maybe just to cover for Rio.

take note : manyoo supporter who knows what hes talking about, im not having a go at the team its just blatantly obvious that your defence is poor, yet most manyoo 'fans' on this board will stick up for there team even though the stats are there in black and white

Coming from a Sunderland fan . . . one word jealous

so telling you the facts is jealousy?
mate, show me facts that your defence isnt rocky and i will take back everything i just posted, but you cant........

and as for jealousy, jealous of your success yeah and your team but not your illegal dealing manager, your board who wants to sack your best manager ever, your massive stadium with its tiny atmosphere....no thanks

manyoo are feeling the strain of a class class arsenal side this year and also chelsea who have some top top players, if you werent feeling the strain you wouldnt have even replied to this thread....

btw where are you from in the 'UK' mate? Manchester?

I am from Salford "mate". Is that OK? Am I allowed to support United now? Now piss off to the boring Sunderland thread (if there is one) and talk about your amazing Premiership history (not).

I`ll reply to what I want. Read my posts properly. I don`t live in Salford, I`m from there. You are right, United`s defense is looking dodgy without Rio - but if I was you I`d worry about Sunderland. You live in this thread, always giving your boring Mick Mcarthy stats, and the score updates, we don`t need it "mate" we have the live score centres, we have digital, we have the radio - in other words, sod off!

Fergie needs to realise that Brown just isn't up to it. My solution would be to stick O'Shea in the centre alongside Silvestre and move either Fortune or P.Neville to left back.

Fair play to Man utd, 3 nil up, went back to 3-3, but still sneaked that goal at the end to win the game. But doesnt that defense look suspect at crosses! Wes doesnt look like hes up to the pace of the game after being out for so long, man utd definetly miss ferdinand and dare I say it.....Beckham. Saha is carrying on where he left of at fulham, scoring goals. Arsenal do look good at the moment, setting a new record, but man utd are still 2 points behind, shows how tight it is at the top this year. Roll on March 28th!

I'm jealous of that ability in a team :x

Yeah he's impressing me. I thought he was alright at Fulham, even though his performances were great. I just had a feeling he'd fizzle out sometime though. But... i was wrong. Maybe it was just a case of needing to be at the right club, because he's really proving himself now.

nowt like picking an argument

Have to say that this is discussion thread not an appreciation thread. If people want to aim their faults in Utd I don't see why they can't do them here. If it was aunited fan saying it no one would moan.

yea the match was one of the worst we ve played, yes we did convert several early gols, but ffs, honestly it could have been 6-0 at the interval. saha and ruud lost their touch near the end of the first, and i believe fletch just isnt fit to play an entire match... and for those who ive told that wes will do well this year, boy im sorry i ever said anything, that boy is messed and we NEED somebody new there pronto! :X

anyway, as i always say, a wins a win, and like the rest of the matches throughout this month (scrappy at that) this was no different, oh well

I agree with you Nicky, but us United fans get nothing but stick most of the time in these forums.

couldnt agree more mate, this thread is like a theme park for most non-united supporters, because as soon as we play a bad game, they just jump all over us, imho, im sick and tired of this hostility, and just wish those people smarten up before they let even a word slip from their lips

You dont understand how hard it is too mod this and the Arsenal topic, since we get yelled at whatever we do! We try to stop the flaming and club wars spreading into these 2 topics, and get yelled at if we dont, yelled at if we do!
As rightly pointed out its a place for discussion but in our opinion discussion cover:
"My teams better than yours so fuck you!"
"No it isnt!"
"Yes it is!"
"Why?"
"Because you suck"

Ok a slight over exageration but hey, you get my point. The Man Yoo vs Arse arguement is dull and pathetic. Im not accusing anyone here but i will get strict and issue some cards if i have to keep posting messages like this. And if i cant decide who is responsible, ill card the lot of ya  ;)

Man Yoo 1 - 2 Boro : 11/02/04 ;)

Boro is right, it is pathetic. I don`t give a crap if Arsenal are winning, losing or drawing, its United I worry about. If we slip up again this season (like against Wolves etc) then its game over. The Gooners are flying at the moment, and it seems like no team can stop them. As for Wednesday night, I`m there in the East Stand (again!) to see us put on a show aginst the `Boro. Hopefully, 3 points in the bag.

Going back to the game at Everton yesterday, no-one seems to have mentioned Ronaldo`s cross for Ruud in the 89th minute (producing the winner). That pass was sheer quality, straight to his head, curling away from Martyn - Ronny is starting to become more of a "team player" now, and we can only expect better things to come. Like Ruud said after the game "He doesn`t do 40 step-overs anymore! He is looking for a striker." The boy can win games, and I`m chuffed to have the youngster as our no.7. He is raw talent that needs to be moulded - and it looks like the clay is taking it`s shape. Respect to you, Cristiano . . .

Here I Joa
Spanish star Joaquin last night insisted he is poised for a £14million summer transfer to Manchester United. The 23-year-old Real Betis winger has been watched several times by Old Trafford scouts this season. And Spain international Joaquin claimed: "It is incredible to hear United want me. It gives me an unbelievable feeling to think of supplying ammunition for strikers of the quality of Ruud van Nistelrooy."
Jim Keat, News of the World

Robben's in the bag for Fergie
Some welcome news for Sir Alex Ferguson. PSV Eindhoven striker Arjen Robben has become the most wanted teenager in Europe since his talks at Old Trafford, but his father Hans, also his agent, said: "My boy won't sign for anyone else, not even Real Madrid or Chelsea."
Joe Melling, The Mail on Sunday

£4m Hat's off to join United
Ajax defender Hatem Trabelsi looks set for a £4million summer switch to Manchester United after the Dutch club agreed he could leave at the end of the season. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson tried to sign the Tunisian right back last summer only to be blocked by the Dutch side.
Steve Bates, The People

3 superb signings i must say,IF this all came true.

RVN can do what he wants and still score. He is just too good. And he aint going anywhere, having just signed a new 5 year contract is it?

What a feckin game!!!!

My arse was twitching near the end....

Firstly though it was great to see us playing in our traditional 4-4-2 formation, Saha and Ruud play well and in time when their used to each others game it'll prove to be leathel, Saha for me is a great player, his control is top notch and with a left and right foot strike on Saturday it shows he's two footed, he links play, drops deep, goes wide, the works!! Yeah theres along way to go but looking at his first two games it seems that Fergie got the right man for the job. Ronaldo's little cameo was good aswell, Everton fans really dislike the kid so it was good to see him come on and win us the game (like Fergie told him too :) ) his cross for the winner was class, he's starting to settle and learn more about the game so hopefully we'll see more of him on the ball than tripping over his road runner feet. I was impressed by Feltcher aswell, he's looking better everytime I see him, he wasnt as dangerous in the 2nd half mind but still im seeing obvious improvements so its all good....

Everton we're so bad in the 1st half I knew they'd improve in the second, in open play we we'rent that bad but the resulting corners/free kicks we looked shoddy, saying that in was Duncan Ferguson who caused us all the problems and he's a one off, someone mentioend us not matching Chelsea or the arse but neither teams are "dead-ball" types of teams so I dont see how that adds up. Yeah Wes is still looking abit shaky but that'll go once he gets a few games.

Well its a big week, with Boro on Wednesday and Siddy on Saturday.

Boro will be a tough one, but its Siddy that im excited about!!!!

Suprised nobody has mentioned the ruckus after RVN scored the winner. Ronaldo got a plastic bottle chucked at him. No surprise really. The Everton fans were having a go at him every since he had came on.

I haven't seen proper footage of it yet (only RVN on the ground screaming) so I can't judge either side but seems both some United players and Everton fans were to blame.

That is really really good from Ronaldo, he normally puts this prat crosses in but now hes finding his form. Thats the ronaldo they went and signed from Sprtn Lisbon.
