Manchester United Thread

They should be afraid of us reallly, we are Manchester Utd after all.

Sorry but you don't have that fear anymore, it may come if you win the league this year but at the moment it ain't there. How can we be afraid of you, we are on fire at the moment and our 1-0 win at OT will give us the belief we can beat you again.

Form and class will always be thrown out the window whenever we face the Goons.I has always been close since we beat them 6-1 at OT.We lost at OT this season and the only way to get even is to beat them at their ground.I think we have a slight edge because we play really well on big pitches.

You're talking as if you've been playing a lot better than us, which you havent.

Ignore him, he is just another one buying into the wankfest hypejob the media have built up and letting the recent displays in the F.A & Carling cup cloud his judgement of the premiership. Need I remind them they still sit in 4th position 15points behind us. Two victories against a hapless Liverpool (dodgy goalkeeping on the Dippers' part); a shambolic defensive display to concede 3 goals in a game; and a victory against relagation candidates Blackburn, and they think they have done something. I just hope all this crap gets to the arsenal players head as it always does where they start believing their own hype of invincibility because of the media and fans getting overjoyed in the hysteria of their performances against lets just say mediocre opposition.

The arsenal fans always get cocky after they go on a little run, I rememember when arsenal won 2games and clockender was like 'wow we are on a little run now' then they lost to sheffied Utd . But lets look at the facts shall we and really see what team is on 'fire' as the arsenal fans believes their team hold are in the better form and have nothing to fear. Right now in the last five Premiership games both Utd & Arse have scored 14 & conceded 7. Utd have won 4 & drawn 1 whereas Arsenal have won 4 & lost 1. And not only that i'd argue Utd have had the harder games in Aston V (A(1-3)), Wigan (H(3-1)), Reading (H(3-2)), Newcastle (A(2-2)), Aston V (H(3-1)) with Arsenal facing Blackburn (H(6-2)), Watford (A(1-2)), Sheff Utd (A(1-0)), Charlton (H(4-0)) & Blackburn (A(2-0)). Arsenal havent faced a team in the top ten in there last five games and United have. Arsenal have faced two teams in the bottom three in there last five games we have faced none.
I am not saying this game won't be very hard but If anything it's more likely we will win. We have the best away record in the Premiership & away from home have scored more goals and conceded less than any other team.

I'm thinking 6-3 to Arsenal with Baptista banging in 5 goals and missing a penalty. Call me crazy...I don't where I'm getting this from, it's just a hunch.

When did I mention United?

 Which part his he posting in again ?

No in many respects, I respect Clockender hes a decent member to the forum ;)

It'll be a close one on Sunday, I expect a winner but who knows which way. Just hope that Liverpool do favour if not let United do the hard work for themselves!

What do you guys think of Sir Alex favouring Dong Fangzhou ahead of Guisseppi Rossi? Rossi was loaned out to Parma for the rest of the season which is a bad move to me.I mean,if we need to cater Rossi for the Premiership,he should be loaned to and English club.Parma and the Serie A is a totally different ball game.I'm not too sure about Dong also, given the 21 shirt famously worn by Diego Forlan...

its better then him sitting on the bench and not playing football... end of story. There is no way he gets in the game with rooney, saha, larson, ole and possibly smith comming back, as well as Dong...

Dong is also better for marketing value.

Fergie is not one to keep a player solely for marketing purposes, otherwise we would have kept Beckham. Obviously he sees something in Dong that he believes will help add something to the team otherwise he would have sold Dong a long time ago.

I think SAF is right to give Dong a chance he has stayed at Antwerp for three years without moaning our anything, I think he deserves a chance, and from what I have heard he is a half decent player and has been playing regular football, had Rossi got a few more games he would be playing, IMO Rossi will get his chance next season.

I dont agree that it is for marketing, if it was then it would have been easy for us to get Adu and have ago at the american market(again).

It would actually say Fangzhou...

It would say "Dong" as that is his surname.

Give the boy a chance guys, as he is virtually unknown to english football and yet to play a competitive game here. My bet will be that he will perfom better than what Rossi has done for the Devils. :)

Atleast for a striker Saha can hit the back of the net. Rooneys been way off form and apart from the strike that hit the bar against Villa he was wateful again. Cant have that happening against Arsenal!

more often that not, Saha can hit that back of the second tier

Yep its true we did bid but it has been rejected :(

MUNICH, Germany -- Manchester United target Owen Hargreaves will not leave Bayern Munich this month but could be allowed to leave during the summer, Bayern director-general Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said on Friday.

Rummenigge, who said Manchester United had offered 30 million euros ($38.8m) for the player contracted with Bayern until 2010, insisted that a move in this month's transfer window was "out of the question".

Rummenigge told Bild newspaper:"We will see this summer how things work out."

Hargreaves, 25, has just resumed full training after recovering from a broken leg in September and has set his sights on a return to action shortly after the Bundesliga restarts next week, following its winter break.

Hargreaves is United's top transfer target and Bayern President Franz Beckenbauer suggested earlier this month that he would be allowed to leave if the English club came up with a transfer fee in the region of 30 million euros.

The player himself has stated his desire to move to Old Trafford but would not be drawn on whether a deal could yet go through before the transfer window closes on January 31.

"There is lots of speculation but I am just getting ready to go training and not focusing on other stuff," Hargreaves said.

Hargreaves, one of England's few successes at the World Cup in Germany last summer, is unlikely to be fit enough to feature in his national squad for their next match, a friendly against Spain at Old Trafford on February 7.

Bare faced lying scumbags. They said they would have accepted a bid for 30million euros and now we test them and put our money where our mouth is and they kop out of what they intially said, bitter 1999 cunts.

20 Million!!! thats a really lot of cash. If its all true I dont know whos more stupid

United for making the offer or Bayern for rejecting

Dont get me wrong Hargreaves is a decent player but his performances in the World Cup is the worst thing that could have happend

it's not been rejected yet, theyre supposedly making a decision either Monday or Tuesday

Bayern are taking United to the cleaners, Hargreaves wants to come to us, and we want him, yet Bayern don't have to sell him

this is payback for 99

... they said they'd think about it... they didn't say that they'd sell immediately

"If Manchester United came to see us with that offer of 30 million euros that everyone is talking about, we would have to think about it," Beckenbauer wrote.

i mean can u blame them for keeping him? u guys are practically salivating at his name... suck it up, at this point its either u shell out Beckham numbers or try to punch it through in the summer... have fun :)
