anyone??

12:00 - 13:00 How do they do that?
Stories behind the most unbelievable events and occurrences. This
weeks programme concentrates on Emile Heskey. How does he keep getting

picked for the England team? How comes a guy built like a "Brick
Privvy" spends more time on his back then Jordan does? The most
unbelievable story is HOW THE HELL did he manage to score an overhead

by the nation. A dazed, disheveled and clearly bewildered leader being
led from his temporary shelter. The slow realisation that the mighty
empire he thought he ruled had esembled, and that the game was finally
up. Finally knowing that, instead of being loved, he was hated by his
own people and laughed at by everyone else...........and Phil Thompson
next to him in the dugout didn't look much better.

All Liverpools attacking highlights from the first half of the Season.

We needed a player who was young, quick, good technique, scoring the goals, and not cup-tied for the Champions League. Saha was perfect - name another striker who is more than half-decent, young, who might be available, and who is not cup-tied? Its a hard one, believe me, I`ve been racking my brains.

i would have waited until the summer tbh
you havent got the team to win the champions league imo so one player isnt gonna make a difference, well saha isnt quite yet anyway.
ole is on his way back so i would have waited, you seem to be doing well so far...
if manyoo want to win the champions league without spending a ton there gonna have to do it in the next 3 years becuase once keane and scholes retire there gonna lose a lot
the youngsters of manyoo ive seen so far arent up to the usual standard imo

Give these youngsters time. I have seen flashes of brilliance from Kleberson and Ronaldo, but obviously "flashes" don`t win you trophys. The thing with United players, so much is expected from every player, every game. Look around the English Premiership, the Scottish league etc there are always faults in a football club.
Ferguson is building a young team, and it worked back in 1999. I`m not saying I think we`ll win the Champions League, `cause we won`t, but wait for these youngsters to gel. There is such a bright future at United, and look at what we have already won in recent times.

its always good to pick up young 'uns compared to geezers, say saha to viduka for example... to answer mick: it really does depend who youre talking about, ronaldo has ONE flippin gol to show for his hype, fletcher none yet but hes been quite the showup... i cant wait till saha fits in, scholes finds his stride, RVN gets another 40 gol-year, ole healthy on the wing, and ronaldo can bask in the limelight

im glad im not the only one who is a tad dissapointed with ronaldo
i think fletcher will be a canny player, about as good as nicky butt imo
that eddie johnson is supposed to be a right good player as well

Mate you have your wires, crossed! Ronaldo and Fletcher are not on the pitch for goals!??? Thats what Saha, Forlan, Ruud etc are for. Ronny and Fletch are wingers, they are out there to scare the defenders a bit, and whip in the crosses (which Ronaldo should work on). Yes, there was loads of hype surrounding Ronaldo, but he is 18 for God sake, let him gel, give him time. Its sceptical "fans" like you that except the world (and more) from every player, every time. But I suppose being Canadian, Manchester United are the only football team you`ve heard of! ;)

mate youve read me like a book! ;) in all honesty, giggs still had his moments with matches in which he put two in the net, thats something ronaldo hasnt done, yes i agree, fine wingers dont score, but i still think ronaldo has more to offer... as for me being sceptical, haha remember when everyone thought he was a diving machine? well it was up to me who said that he was more than that, and anyway, i just think ronaldo has yet to shine

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Have you heard this everyone!! Apparently Manchester City are the best club in in the world!!............Ive never heard so much bullsht in all my life!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Did anyone see the Marseille V Paris St. Germain match earlier today on Eurosport? Marseille went 1-0 down after Barthez let in a shot which a professional `keeper should have covered. The shot was hit with venom and pace, but it was a tight squeeze, and Barthez should have made the save. Even the commentators were saying "Alex Ferguson will have a rye smile on his face now".

In with Tim, out with Fabien - Fergie knows best, as always ;)

He is definitely left-footed.I have seen him taken a few penalties with his left peg.He is also definitely under Nike's contract, has seen him wearing nike boots ever since...he wears those black Nike Vapor with a red arch at the heel.I'do to see him on those flashy new Red Vapors, that Henry is wearing now.

That isn't a recent picture. Hudson wears 20 for Fulham these days and Saha wore 8.

Forlan is both-footed, but his stronger one is his left.

Really? I always assumed he was right-footed with a good left foot.

Yeah Hutch he really is left pegged.

I'd just like to point out that Forlan is indeed right-footed with a good left foot. He took the penalty with his right and his all round game generally shows that he's stronger on his right. I knew I was correct. :D
Oh, and Ronaldo was superb today despite our inferior opposition.

the faints  just too many, but as scrappy as the match was, getting into the last 16 is all we needed

Yeah, he hit it well too, didn`t he? Not. I still stick to my guns. Forlan`s stronger foot is his left. Both footed players use either foot when taking a penalty, Hutch! ;)
Anyway, United did well today, playing our youngsters. Chelsea showed how dodgy they are yesterday, when fielding a "world-class" eleven, and only coming away 1-0. Again, United are the mentors, watch and learn everyone.
Ronaldo, what a star in the making. Wait until he`s had a few seasons experience under his belt. Look out, jealous rivals.

What did you expect? Continental-style? Its the friggin` FA CUP! Look at the pitch, the stadium etc. These games always test players - and you can sometimes expect an upset, `cause the ball bobbles about, and players get dragged all over the place. It was nice to see that long-haired pleb for Northampton scoring an own-goal. He was giving Butt sh*t before that. Wa**er.

Especially liked the travelling fans chorus of F*ck off John Magnier, F*ck Off John Magnier, Quality.

Yeah our fans we're great yesterday, as usual.

I enjoyed the game, thought the youngsters looked okay, nothing special mind but we're getting there.

Did you see the power in the that Northampton players finger yesterday. All he did was touch Ronaldo in the back and his back completely ached up sending him flying. He must work out :D

yeah I know, either that or Ronnie goes to the same diving class as Pires, Kewell etc :)

I think so. It's just working against themnow though. On Sat Pires was fouled once and dived another but didn't get either cause refs are scared of getting conned and facing a press grilling.

Well refs must get sick of it but trying to balance the scales themselves is not what they are there for, regardless of reputation if the ref thinks its a foul then he should call it, anything else is very unprofessional. I know some people will call it poetic justice but that doesnt wash for me, I was pig sick when Christiano went down like that yesterday, yeah there was contact albeit minimal, but he shouldnt have gone down like he'd been shot, I was glad when forlan missed it tbh.
