Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Graveson to join in Jan?
Kamikaze United
Manchester United have not scored a goal for 225 minutes and Sir Alex Ferguson's solution to the worrying goal drought is for his side to go out and play "kamikaze" football. Ruud van Nistelrooy's 45th-minute strike in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City a fortnight ago was the last time United found the net, since when they have drawn a blank against Villarreal and Liverpool. "Manchester United cannot only defend," said Fergie. "We can't just play defensively. The fans, the people here, just won't stand for it. It's not us. This club has a kamikaze streak which, in a funny way, I rather like." Fergie, who is concerned that the goalscoring burden in United's opening five Premiership matches has been shared by van Nistelrooy and Rooney, has urged others to find the net. "I'd take a goal from anywhere," said the United boss. "Of course, it's great when your strikers are scoring, but we do need goals from other areas as well. The goals are definitely there for us. Our problem last season wasn't creating chances, it was taking them. We made more chances than any other club, but we also missed more chances than anyone else." Yet there is increasing discontent among United fans over the persistence with the 4-3-3 system, with frustrated supporters shouting "Attack, Attack, Attack" throughout the stalemate at Anfield. United are still without skipper Roy Keane, who will be sidelined for two months, defender Gabriel Heinze, who is out for the season, and England full back Gary Neville, who may make the bench tomorrow against Blackburn.

Good news i think, as this would mean we will start making a conscious decision to attack more. I think we every now and then you see arsenal and chelsea murder teams 3 or 4-0, United use to be able to do this all the time but since we started playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 i cant remember the last time we whooped a decent team in the premiership. Hopefully now we will go all out attack and see some high scores, fuck the clean sheets man, i mean its not like the top two teams are gonna have same amnount of points at the end of season and have to come down to goal difference. I remember arsenal hammering everton last season 7-0 now that is a result.
