Kinda sucks that. We're always more affective with 4-4-2.

What I dont get is that if you have a lack of goals, the first thing you should think is "Why dont I push one of my central midfielders into strike?".
Something's wrong with Sir Alex. I bet he's only using 4-3-3 cuz he's copying Mourinho thinking that if he can do it, why cant we?

You know,I dont think its all Sir Alex whom makes the calls.I bet most game tactics and ideas came from Carlos Queiroz...Tactically,I think he sucks..bring back Brian Kiddo!!

I kinda pity the Japs after reading that piece of news.Lets not take away anything from Kashima Antlers,they are top of the J-League for God's sake.Mind you,the J-League is arguably the top Football League in the whole of Asia,its no Mickey Mouse league whatsoever.If any other teams are gonna come away with a lost and say its a fluke,let them be,so far as I'm concern,the Man United camp HAS NOT taken any credits away from Kashima Antlers's victory.That is good to know.Next up,Urawa Reds...I heard they modelled the team after Man United,which explains the name and kits of the team.3rd in the League and they should be another stern test for us.C'Mon United.

Do you guys think we need Owen now Smith is a midfielder now?

He can leave now i guess as Baptista has gone to Real as well as Robinho!

Yeah, Owen would be good, we need someone who can score goals no matter what and Owen can do that.

What else would you do?

If you saw the friendly today, you would have seen Rooney score 2 goals because he was upfront and not on the wing or in midfield. Now if Ruud was up with him...

PS. What a great goal by Rooney. The dribble was class and the chip was even better.

Again,a good win for us today.Pique,Scholes,Smith,G.Nev and Rooney all played well for my money tonite.Superb two goals by Rooney,the first showed his strength,the second show his sublime skills and composure.I'm a little bit concerned about Richardson and Ronaldo whom both pick up knocks...so we're done with the Asian tour and off to Belgium next.Any news from the German camp in tokyo I wonder?

Owen is almost definately leaving. He's something like the 5th choice striker after Ronaldo, Raul, Robinho and Baptista.

Maybe its time to move for him.

agree with you there phrase. pique is looking a very good defender.
don't know why we are still sticking with 433. didn't work at the end of the last season and it isn't working now.

just had to do a double take on the football websites. ferdinand has signed a new deal. anton ferdinand ;)

I hear that Ronaldo is ready to sign his deal meaning its just Rio that we have to worry about. But like I said, we have 2 years to settle this. If we havent sorted it out by the end of next season, then we can all start to panic.

i was expecting to see ferdinand and van nistelrooy in that match, but neither appeared.

apparently, ferdinand was punished for making a gesture to the fans and van nistelrooy was under the weather. hmmm...

Well apparently, in our next game against Antwerp (in a few days time) we'll be fielding our best possible team so if theres no Ruud or Rio, then something is definately wrong.

Mate, are you a glory hunting United fan? The reason I say this is that no self-respecting Red Devil would want that plastic Scouser at Old Trafford... He's not even that great a striker...

What I'm saying is that it doesnt matter if the team is a rival. Players can still come over to your team do well.
So Gerrard might have been a great signing for us.

I don't see Leeds as being as big rivals as Liverpool, tbh... Anyway, out of those three, only Smith is actually from Leeds... Cantona and Ferdinand are an entirely different matter, as Cantona's french and Rio's from London...

To be honest, the only English team I can see Michael Owen playing at is Liverpool... To me, some players just suit certain clubs...

So its about where you're born and not necessarily which club you play for? Then shouldnt we hate Rooney cuz he's from Liverpool the city?

I know I do... But I respect his ability as a footballer... I'm just saying Michael Owen isn't the sort of player we need/want at United... If anything, we need decent cover in defence...

Well I like Owen for his ability to score goals which is why I would like to see him at Man Utd. Smith is playing in midfield and Saha just isnt showing any good signs so if we want goals and fast, we need another good striker.
Can you name someone else better than Owen that is available?
