Forlan or Solskjaer, it's gotta be Ole!

I think Diego Forlan is class. What he lacks in technique he makes up for in effort and desire.

Yeah he's okay but not many at the club can touch Ole's ability, he's got the best technique out of all the forwards, his touch and control are very good, he can create goals, he can head the ball and can score with either foot and when he gets a sniff of goal he's cool as fuck.

Personally I cant wait for him to come back, people who say we're missing Beckham dont realise we're only missing him cos the guy who kept him out of the team last season has been injured, he was playing with the injury at the start of the season so hopefully he'll be back to his best by Feb.
yea ole has by far the best first touch in the prem... i really think becks ability to cross the ball allowed ole to touch the ball a lot more... but the ginger prince, gary neville, AND giggsy all have that ability too, they can put the ball at his foot, and trust me, i ll be smiling from ear to ear when he pots his first of the season... and even happier when we lift up the prem again ;) :D

You obviously haven't seen the great Thierry Henry play then, he has the best touch and control of any player I have seen....ever. Ole is good but he ain't in Thierry's class.

Yeah I wouldnt go that far, I never said he had the best touch in the Prem, Henry's touch isnt that great for me, its his agility and speed/grace that seperate him, he can make a bad touch look like a good one and a good touch look like a miracle. One thing though is that he isnt the finisher that Ole is (IMHO) and doesnt always get the scruffy goals that strikers live off, but as he never started as striker he's done okay for himself :)

Porto confirmed that Derlei has a knee ligament injury and will be out for our games.

Is this a big loss for them??

With the USA taking to us so well, we're going back, no team other than Real have been confirmed....

Philadelphia 25th July
Chicago 28th July
New York 31st July

Vann - I just heard on Radio One that it is OFFICIAL that United have had talks with Fulham about Saha.
I think Saha is class, and would suit United very well, but apparantley Fulham have said we ahave not offered enough - C`mon United, don`t be stingy and shell out. Not too much though. What d`ya reckon for Saha (transfer fee) I`d say around 15 million.

They want £18mill for him, they are abit late though Kenyon has joined Chelsea, I cant see us paying that but, what do I know. Fulham are playing a dangerous game cos Saha has publically stated how much he'd love to play for United so they might be forced to drop the price.

Be interesting how it all pans out after the shamble that happened summer just gone, he might spend big money on a few players to boost the squad up and get them settled for next season.

At the end of the day, Saha is quality, he needs to be playing Champions League football, he needs to be at a big club, and wants to win trophys. United is the place to go. What a Xmas pressie for him! :D

haha, and for us too!

and buta as for the "best first touch", its a figure of speech ;)

Saha is a good player but not up to the quality id expect at united. United should be looking at someone more like Eto'o.

Wenger made some interesting comments at an Arsenal press conference regarding United an Rio.

He agreed that if it was Arsenal in the same situation he would back his player but thought that United partially to blame for what happened.

He also seemed to think that Chelsea might not be able to hack it when it comes to the final push in April/May which I found funny as fuck cos Arsenal cant hack it come April/May, he was on a roll by then and even commented on Fergies prediction that we would be alot stronger in the 2nd half of the season, I had to quote it..

"Alex Ferguson says his team get stronger in the second half of the season but you could say the same of Arsenal. In 1998 we were 11 points behind United in January and we went on to win the Double."

Hhhm isnt that what we did last year Arse boy and you wouldnt give us credit and instead would rather say your team just threw it away but when you did it, it was because you we're stronger

Make your mind up!!

No matter, maybe someone should tell him we've won four titles 1 european cup and an FA Cup since then.

Wenger the frog is ALWAYS contradicting himself - he makes the worst excuses I have ever seen from a football coach. Usually, when United lose its because we have played shite - and Fergie always states that his team did not perform well enough, just like at Man Shitty last season, Fergie was not a happy bunny. But Wenger always makes these dull, incorrect statements when he gets beat or doesn`t win the title. Just face facts Wenger, you have quite a way to go before you reach Fergie`s calibre. As for Chelsea not sticking it out, Wenger I would be more worried with the lack of depth in your squad come April/May, if you get an injured Henry, Pires or Viera, you could be looking for more bad excuses.

Superb performance by Ronaldo today! Loved it when he frustrated Rooney.

Think it's time I got involved in this shite thread.

I really wanted Rooney to snap Ronaldo in two, because he's such a diving bastard. I mean the guy Hibbert makes a fantastic tackle, and what does Ronaldo do, take about 10 rolls trying to con the ref. Shocking stuff.

C'mon Boro!

well simply put hes not a very good player anyway. He does a couple of tricks ad dives which work against not very good defenders, but put him up against even half decent defenders and he drifts. There are so many other better midfielders, who play for smaller clubs (look at Dalmat last week for instance), it astounds me how he gets in the Man Utd team so much.

Im sure they meant to get Queresma instead of Ronaldo, its like when Luther Blisset went to Milan instead of John Barnes.

cristiano ronaldo dos santos aveiro is a decent player, but even i've got to admit, he does take the odd dive once every so often... i would like to see him turn more to a footballer rather than an olympian diver, and become somewhat useful like quaresma at nou camp and kaka at stadio meazza, i truly believe that youngsters liven up the spirits around camp, and we took a gamble in picking up the wrong - MAYBE WRONG - star from sporting... just hopes it works out for the best ;)

Should be a tough game for you guys - whats this i hear about Silvestre and O'Shea both being out for this game?

Not a bad game against the scouse shite yesterday, I was a bit pissed off when I heard the team coming out, the fulham game is still fresh in my memory, but we did okay.

Kleberson played okay yesterday but did drift out of the game, he's got great vision though and in time I think he'll prove to be a good buy.

I thought Ronaldo played well yesterday, again for a kid his age playing with the pressure he's handling it pretty well, it was good to see him try a few more simple things yesterday and his crosses from either side we're okay, not suprised to see everyone slating him but him and fletcher have shared the first half of the season and suprise suprise we're not doing to bad. He could turn out to be (like many foreign imports) not suited to our league/climate etc but at United he's got the chance to play in the big time its up to him how much you want it, thats a lot of pressure for anyone never mind an 18 year old.

That leads me to Rooney, what a fat waste of space he is, evryone heaps praise on the little shit but yesterday he was made to look average for not the first time this season, yeah Ronaldo went down easy, fuck me who doesnt now a days, lol our dive tracker couldnt keep up with it.) but he (and the rest of them) chopped him down a few times cos he was making them look silly, dirty scouse bastard(s)...

Lot of games over the next few days, IMO this is where we'll see how all of the kids playing will handle the pressure, we've coped really well so far with the loss of Veron and Beckham, yeah I'll say the quality of play has dropped off abit but we've won more games, scored more and let in less than we did this time last year so i'd be lying if I said I wasnt pleased with the season so far, plus with the Ole coming back and a few others coming in, it'll be an interesting finish.

Have a good New Years Everyone.....

see you on the other side...

Yeah but as we're playing Boro we wont need defenders, McClaren fines the players for going past the half way line.

Im looking forward to this, having Neville, Keano, Scholes, Giggs and Ruud back makes me feel we could nick it cos its gonna be tight, after last year and the FA cup the previous, methinks Fergie wants to get one back against his former pupil.

Yeah well what happened last year, they spanked you 3-1 and it could have been more. :D

C'MON BORO!

We proved yesterday that our 2nd best 11 can win games. Other teams (Arsenal) need to field their best 11 because the lack of depth in their squad. Can you imagine Wenger resting Henry, Pires, Ljungberg and Vieria in a Premiership tie? I think not.
Well done United, our new boys are getting a feel of the English game and the 2 "shite" signings didn`t do too bad (Kleberson - scorer, Ronaldo provider, man of the match)

1. Manchester United - Champions.

Nuff said.
