Manchester United Thread

so the junkie gets an eight mth ban.after appealin, they'll probably bring it down to 5 mths(stam,davids,12,14mths respectively.after appealin,4mths).
what bothers me is that manure's defence might get better now.lets just hope rio remembers when he'll be able to play again, after all he's got a shockin memory.here's a little somethin intrestin....

Bans In English Football
Eric Cantona-9mths,Community Service(kungfu related incident)
Mark Bosnich-9mths,Fine(Powderin his nose,Not bein able to lose weight)
Rio Ferdinand-8mths,fine(Powderin Nose,Havin A Shockin Memory,Bein A C*nt)
Roy Keane-5weeks,fine(Bein Roy Keane/C*nt,Haaland Incident)

see a pattern forming there?dirty manc monkeys!

*EDIT*
I will stop using that kid of language and keep this too a man yoo rleated topic. I am very very very very very sorry. I'll go dunk my head in toilet water. Goodnight

I think the reasonf or the 8mth ban is to make an example of rio. And too be honest i think its right. The drugs situation is ridiculous. Football should be clean and the game in England needs cleaned up. The only way to do that is show how harsh the results of drugs tests will be. Missing a drugs yes isnt as bad as taking drugs. But still it should never have happened. Hes till missed the drugs test entirely, and had to have it re-taken. Yes it may not sound that bad but hey, players shouldnt miss drugs tests. If players now know they can get an 8mth ban then it will discourage them.

Anyway like footie said. Its history now, you cant do anything about it. So get on with and figure out how you'll survive. Think of it this way, if you win the title without rio it will be a pretty damn good achievement eh?

Come on now, jealously is an evil thing! Just because our United boys can be a bit naughty! But I`ll let them off because they win us stuff, unlike some other "big clubs" (ahem Liverpool). Oh I heard something funny the other night - instead of "This Is Anfield" it should now be called "That WAS Anfield" :D

look, lets not go into this any more than it has to, ferdy has 8 months no matter what ninja says, or whatever misfit found out in a pattern in bans in the EPL... whenever we go and appeal the 8 months, the ban will change somehow, good or bad... we have no way of changing :(

Manchester United could be thrown out of the Champions League if they go to court over Rio Ferdinand's eight-month ban. (Sunday Mirror/News of the World)

Ferdinand wont be that big of a loss, theyve been doing alright without him recently.

Btw Misfit Motorhead kick ass, look up "Probot"...Lemmy is the lead singer in one of the songs while Dave Grohl drums. And Enter Sandman by Motorhead IMO is better.

When? Rio played most matches last year and we won the title and had the best defensive record in the league. We've been doing well at the back with him this year as well. Remember the shambles we were in the year before he came? I still think he looks as dodgy as fuck sometimes, but you can't argue with those stats.

im into "old school" shit.motorhead's great but i dont really fancy covers.the originals are always the best(enter sandman in this case).for example, diamondhead's am i evil is much better than metallica's cover.same can be said for breadfan(budgie),blitzkrieg(diamondhead) which were also covered by metallica.N.I.B's best version is the sabbath's one rather than the rest.check out the originals and you'll know what i mean...

PS:guys, sorry for this in the wrong thread.just wanted to get this known to milan....

PPS:milan are 1-0 down to udinese.ya must be depressed milan...

1. Manchester United

A good victory against the Spurs, another 3 points, that will do.

yep even a chelsea fan (thats me for all u dumb northerners ;)) can appreciate its gonna be a great title run-in and i think the big game at OT at the second-last game of the season will be slightly explosive!!!!

Good win today by united - though spurs battled well but u showed good quality to come out of it with all 3 points - well done ;)

first thing's first: thanks metallica, and not only manchester united supporters, anyone who checks this thread - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

second thing: i honestly think that john oshea is the real thing, he has progressed soo well for fergie over the years, and the 8 months without ferdy will/should be johnnys christmas present... with wes back from injury soon, the irishman will have the chance of a lifetime to prove to his critics that he will bring us the CL in his career at OT... we had a fairly surprising streak broken: first time in a while that we won the first three matches in the prem, not forgetting the community shield... but then we got lazy, and when our guns went silent, soo came the injuries

this was a good test for us, and so is this ban to ferdy... im real excited about this christmas, personally as a family member, and a member of this manchester united family...

have a safe winter and holidays! GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!

TOP OF THE FA's PREMIERSHIP!!!!!!

Take that you bastardo's after all the sh*t that happened over the weekend it was nice to get back to the football yesterday...

Now ive never been rio's biggest fan, but whats happened to the lad its bang out of order, yeah he was a prat for forgetting but the FA for a change, have hung us out to dry.

Saying that he played okay yesterday with all this hanging over him. The whole team played some good stuff for about an hour, Spurtz we're wank though tbh, we could/should've scored more but we did our usual "go 2-0 up in no time then turn off" and made it a bit diificult for ourselves in the end.

Again though,Spurtz we're wank, no wonder they are a miserable (and shrinking) club.

So top of the league with more points than we had this time last year, one of the best defensive records, scoring plenty of goals, better goal difference, and all this playing some of the worst football ive seen in the modern Fergie era, with Ole coming back and our usual 2nd half of the season push we should right up there challenging on all fronts (yet again) in the New Year...

Reports and rumours in both english and irish press that young Miller is holding out on signing a new contract at Celtic and that Fergie is keen on bringing him in and its been said in Ireland that Miller is very keen on joining Sheasey at United.

Well I know that Celtic supporters have been raving about the young lads performances this season ive not seen enough of him to comment but he's thought of very highly up there and Ireland so i'll get a better idea when we go over this week.

New name linked Monday, December 22, 2003

this from planetfootball.com:

Lazio coach Roberto Mancini has urged Manchester United to make a bid for Dejan Stankovic, even though the midfielder appears destined for Internazionale.

The Serbia-Montenegro international looks set for a move to Inter in 2004, either in January or at the end of the season, and Mancini is resigned to losing the services of his skipper.

Stankovic was linked with a switch to Old Trafford some time ago, but is set to continue plying his trade in Italy.

"I think he will go to Inter or Juve," explained Mancini.

"I think those are the teams.

"I don't know if any offers will arrive from abroad.

"If I was Real Madrid or Manchester, I would move for him.

"Stankovic wanted to stay here, if things had been different, it would have allowed a different decision.

"If we would have thought before, when the moment was right, everything would already be done."

Stankovic has always been a personal fave of mine, would've preferred to see him or Nedved come from Lazio instead of Veron, He would fit in well to our game but its unlikely that this is gonna happen, but as its chrimbo you can wish ey....

More Transfer talk
Monday, December 22, 2003

The Sunday Express concurs with the People's report that a £3.5m United bid for the Australian front man has been turned down but the Mail on Sunday believes United's offer to be double that. The News of the World says that Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a £5m offer for the new year.

On a lesser scale, the News of the World also reports a £1 million offer from United to Dallas Mustangs for their 16-year-old striker Kenny Cooper, who is said to have made a big impression during a six-month trial at Old Trafford. The American-born youngster has an English father. The same paper also claims that West Ham have admitted that Jermain Defoe, an oft-reported target for United, will be sold in the next month.

Well the talk in Mancunia this weekend was whether it would be Saha or Viduka, well we should get them both IMO, why not we've got the money and Fergie is very good at keeping players happy plus I think neither player are cup tied in europe. Tts hard to judge them on individual merits cos both play alot differently, Viduka is more of a Cantona-esque sort of striker and could lead the line like Ruud, drop deap hold and link up the play(can be abit of lazy twat too), whereas although Saha is currently playing as a lone striker in Fulhams current 4-5-1, to me he would be better, with his speed, just off the target man and its nice to have a left footed striker.

Im sure we'll be linked with alot of players over the next few weeks but whatever happens even with Ole coming back the squad needs a bit of quality to compliment the young players that have come in and need time to develop.

I will have to agree with But there not only cause i'm a fellow gooner but down here you get a worse reputation than you already have for the morons that change from local teams like West Ham and Palace to Man Utd. If I hear a Manc accent I assume that they are Citeh.
