Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sebastien Frey wants to join a club in the UEFA Champions League when he leaves Parma in the summer. The highly-rated Frenchman has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Internazionale, Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the gossip columns.A massive career-changing decision is on the cards for the 25-year-old and he will take his time over the choice of club."I have huge respect for Parma," he told L'Equipe. "But I want a change of scenery. If I want to have an opportunity to play in the 2006 World Cup, I must play in the Champions League. The greatest European clubs are following me and it is an honour. This summer, I will make the most important choice of my career. In six months, I will be in the best form of my life.At Parma, in the dark, I am working like a dog.Soon I will be rewarded and you will hear about me."

We have to get him.We should not lose out again in the transfer department.

Best choice for man utd. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

well he shouldnt cost too much considering parma are on the verge of relgation and have finacial problems.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He'll go to Inter as every month he keeps mentioning them in the news. Toldo is leaving, and Frey has played for Inter as a youngster, most likely his final destination.

You sound right. So who else can we get? Casilas isn't likely is it?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

You're probably right. Your predictions make a lot more sense than mosts.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They wont buy robinsion he aint big enough. He only moved to spurs a season or two ago. Your man Frey sounds good though.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hi guys, being an evo-web regular i figured this would be as good a place as any to put this.

I got myself a ticket online for the Man Utd V Newcastle game on Sunday April 24th. However, when i bought it, the game was scheduled to be played on the Saturday at 3 o clock. And no sooner have i bought it then bloody Sky go and re-arrange it for the Sunday at 4 o clock so they can televise it! Which means i now can't go, as i can't get a flight back home that night, which would mean boooking the next day off work, something i can't afford to do. So i'm looking to offload it now. Note, i'm not out to make a killing here, i paid £23 for the ticket so i'll sell for £25, including postage.
So if anyone's interested then PM me (first come first serve, regardless of whether anyone else is willing to pay more).
I've included a picture of the ticket below for the sceptics among you! ;)
(quality's not great i know, but it does the job - not bad for a 4 year old cheapo tiny digi camera from the gadget shop!)

ps - hope i'm not infringing on any forum rules here!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I know this is only PaperTalk from The Sun and Daily Star..but if it is true..hell yeahh..bring on Iker!!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has made Real Madrid stopper Iker Casillas his new number one target and will make him the highest paid-keeper in the world.

Personally,I think its between Iker Casillas,Sebastian Frey and Paul Robinson.Shay Given could even be a nice surprise.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Casillas is really young (younger than Howard) so IMO, he'd be a better choice. Apparantly theres some heat between Casillas and his employees and Sir Alex wants to take advantage of that and buy him.

It would obviously be great for the team but I'll feel sorry for Howard. Timmy deserves some respect (even though he gets more than enough from CSaunders).

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Casillas in one of the best keepers around today.
What do you think of this rumor CSaunders? Even you would surely like it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We all know Casillas is a great keeper. I'd place him right behind Buffon. But Howard isn't a bad keeper either and if we do sign Casillas, what would that do to Timmys confidence? Knowing that theres a much better, world class and younger keeper to compete with can really make you consider leaving.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Realistically there is no chance of us getting Cassillas but you can always live in hope.
I still think United should have signed Van Der Sar in Jan, even though it may have been only for a 1yr and a half.

I think you're right about Van Der Sar. He's still an international player with great experience.
But I think we shouldn't rule out Casillas. IMO its likely.

Think so 2 as its a new challenge and of course he will play with a world class defence in front of him!

Samuel a joke!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Inter are evaluating several contenders for their goalkeeping gloves, including Sebastien Frey and Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas.

Francesco Toldo has been subjected to criticism from the Press and fans this season and is not expected to stay on past the summer with offers from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Nerazzurri are intent on bringing in a reliable goallie for the next campaign and up until now the expected choice was Parma star Frey.

Inter are tough contenders, and Spain is very similar to Italy.

In what way?

I know I'm biased but if I had a choice between Inter and Man Utd, theres no way I'd turn down Man Utd.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Culture.

I probably would choose united aswell, but Inter have managed to attract loads of players including Paul ince, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Romario etc....
And latin-based players have had better success in Italy than in England.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

But if he looks that which team will give him more silverware, it'd have to be Man Utd.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

well cudicini wants to leave chelsea this summer for some first team action and he may well be a cheaper more smarter option imo coz he wont be costing united 10mil more like 3m and then united will have some money left for a midfielder
