Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

*BIG SIGH* Another united performance, good chances, none seized, couple mistakes paid for them. Penalty for me, can't really argue, although he only got by Ferdinand by shoving him out of the way. Thought Portsmouth played okay, but united have no scoring touch at all. Smith missed from 3 feet out with open goal mouth, would have been 1-1. I don't know what united need, just a sad performance following last week. Oh and any other ref would have second yellowed rooney, though his first was a bit dubious...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

jesus christ!!! what a fucking letdown, im so pissed, what comes around goes around, like i said earlier

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wasn't able to see the game. WTF happened?!
How very disapointing. ;_;

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

we played like shit, rooney sucked, ronaldo sucked, it was pathetic, rio and silvestre played great the whole game, except for two goals they allowed.. which kind of erased there performance, we could have scored more goals, except rooney and ronaldo dont like to pass in the final third, hell giggs even sucked, in fact i haevnt seen giggs play a really solid game all year.... its looking bleak fellas, there was a penalty called on us, that i thought wasnt in the box, but like i said you EVRYEONE and I mean EVERYONE ARSENAL, get bad calls, and united got theres today, so like i said what comes around goes around, we still have the CL....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its games like today that really frustrates me.Where was the hunger?...we had too many players just waiting around the box,"waiting" being the modus operandi here,we cant do that.I was a little relieved when i switched channels and saw that Arsenal was trailing with extra time left to be played and guess what, they equalised!! We lack directness lately...thats it,directness...the way we used to counter and press forward so easily last time.Ronaldo was cack...he needs a break,Rooney shouldnt start and Roy Keane should have entered the fray at halftime.Ultra frustrating night.I hope Fergie would go all out and buy a catalyst player ala Cantona in January.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Im pissed what a let down,if we cant beat pathetic teams like portsmouth, i can expect us to have another embaressing season. Man i can only se us fighting in vain for second spot coz chelsea have a world class player in every department unlike us who have a world class first team to put out, but on the bench besides the strikers, we have to look at pathetic useless siginings that cant even make a impact against carling cup teams let alone portsmouth. I really dont know what fergie was thinking sighning kleberson and bellion and that joke which i dont have to name!!

i just hope our standards dont completly drop like last season and finish losing 8 games.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I saw some of the match, and one moment that caught my attention was at 9 minute when Ronaldo got the ball in the penalty area and he went for a tight angle shot which went wide, meanwhile Smith was on his left and he was completely open and all he needed was simple pass and it was a garunteed goal. This is just one of the things that IMO show that some of our younger players need more experience.

... we'll see if you guys give 250% against sides that are nowhere near as good as us. you won one game and you all think that you r the best team in the world again...

you won one game and believd everything was back to the old days. the players were over confident and weren't expecting a tough performance from pompey. that should have brought them back down to earth

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Oh dear! With Arsenal drawing you lot really needed to catch up some points on them today. If you dont watch out you'll be too far behind the top 2 and out of contention by Christmas.

Remember when Ronaldinho was all but going to Old Trafford...but didn't. Ahhh....good times.
Ah well, whats new they say? Havent you heard the news mate? Cheaters always wins.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I can`t see us winning the Premiership this season, we just are not consistent. There are no excuses for yesterday, we fielded a 99% strong first team (except no Keane). But the Gooners couldnt beat Saints at home, which is poor, and Chelsea are on fire, so can Arsenal retain the Championship for the first time? I dont think they will, as Fergie keeps reminding them, they have never done it!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

United will definately make a comback..And if the gunners are still asleep i believe that united can even triumph the Premiership...I seee no bonding between the lines..Like the old days when butt knew the way to find scholes..and he knew the way to fin cole with his eyes shut...Cristiano isn't fit..Ruud cant get himself a decent pass to score and Rooney cant always be the Hero of the day..Lets face it..Its only a matter of time till the squad bond and start playin English football all again..Must find a leaded in the midfield..Lampard maybe? (best player in england nowadays with Gerrard following...)..Or maybe something latin..Robinho?Something to think bout guys..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Does anyone have a clip of the RVN - Henry incident? I can't recall what SAF is talking about, but I'd love to see it to get an idea if he's actually lost it or not :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

my word, someone already mentioned it, but the entire match united lacked the hunger for 3 points as they did against the gunners. scholes and phil never seemed to penetrate the midfield when they had the ball, only to look up for a long ball to play.

very very upsetting and extremely frustrating

hope the bloody CL will be a turning point for us

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What do you is gonna happen on Wednesday against Sparta? I'm begining to think we won't go beyond a draw :(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

keep ye head up, we tend to fair better in CL fixtures, especially with the pressure on us to win after soo many disappointing results. plus, we take pride in taking 3 points at home. just imagine, the new year without CL football in OT... just cant happen!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We better win on Wednesday night, I`ve got tickets! Anyone know if Ruud is banned for the Sparta match?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We played better football against Sparta at their own turf so,ideally we should do better at OT...I'd say we'd win 2 to nothing.(The last game I predicted likewise and we lost 0-2,darn it.)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is considering going out on loan in a bid to kick-start his career.

The Scottish international has started just once this term as opposed to the 17 league games that he started for The Red Devils last season.

Wigan Athletic approached the 20-year-old last week but were knocked back by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Fletcher has also been linked with Leeds United but so far there have been no negotiations to move him to Elland Road.

"I realise the manager is looking to play a settled side right now," Fletcher said.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Feel sorry for the guy. When Scholes was out he should have been the ideal replacement for him in the centre of midfield rather than O'Shea.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergie is losing the plot, but i still have faith he will turn things around coz his ass is also on the line this season after spendin so much money compared to arsenal in the last two seasons.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

to answer ninja, no ruud is only suspended for three league matches, it shouldnt play out in our CL matches.

as for fletcher, i really feel for the lad. he oozes with talent and i hope a year-long loan spell will, as they said, kick start his career

lastly, CMON FERGIE! turn this club around!

no that was great, i hit arsene about 51 times, you know what makes sense, wenger is trying to come off as better the sir alex, he is saying "it is over" and there is no need to discuss any further. Porbably because his team is guilty as hell of misconduct during and after the match, apparenlty it was that little frenchie shit Cezc(sp) who threw the pizza soup at sir alex. Wegner is tyring to get everyones mind off the situation, but as well all know, arsenal are very capable of misconduct... wegner acts as if his team are the cleanest players on the planet, what a joke
