Manchester United Thread

As long as it isn't our top young players (Rooney, Ronaldo), our main defender (Rio) and our main forward (Ruud). Though I hope it isn't Howard either (or any of our players).

So it's ok if it's a minor player?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Okies, just checking, slightly poor choice of words and I was being pedantic ;)

Google has nothing, google groups only goes up to 10th October and in the man utd group they're saying it's Scholes, can't be bothered to download the full headers to find out :)

I probably should have reworded my original post a bit better anyway.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

it would be a travesty if it were true though, he is my very favourite player

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I've just spoken with another United "source" who's told me more about the player/players in question and that it was apparently just Scousers spreading bollocks when they played us.
Vann seems very sure about it though, so it'll be interesting to see what comes of it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think Chris Wright put it there, he is a very angry man.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

New Reyes?
Skysports.com understand that Manchester United's latest target in Spain is Sevilla starlet Diego Capel - who is being dubbed as the 'new' Jose Antonio Reyes. He is likened to Reyes because of his left-sided role, along with his pace and eye for goal.Sevilla, though, are confident that Capel will remain with them and emerge as one of their most important players of the future, along with fellow starlets Jesus Navas and Sergio Ramos.

Carlos Kameni?
United have been to watch Kameni on three occasions already this season and Sir Alex Ferguson dispatched goalkeeping coach Tony Coton to run the rule over the African against Barcelona on Saturday.Despite Espanyol losing, Kameni is again understood to have impressed and Coton is thought to have lodged a favourable report on him. Talk of a potential United bid in January is now increasing, although Kameni is one of a number of keepers understood to be under Ferguson's consideration - with Mark Schwarzer, Carlo Cudicini and Edwin van der Sar all linked.

Once again,United are goin global in getting new, young players.Diego Capel....hmmnn..left sided player, might be useful.Carlos Kameni?? I dont think so,we already have 3 capable keepers and I dont think we need another one.Sometimes I do want United to go big and buy established players.I'd like to see players like Gigi Buffon,Micheal Ballack and Ronaldinho don our jersey but its not meant to be.

I watched that Espanyol - Barcelona game (on tv). Kameni was very impressive. I remember thinking to myself that he was a very good keeper. He also has a VERY long throw on him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Roma might actually be willing to part with Cassano. And although we have enough strikers, I was thinking how cool it would be to have him on our side. I got a feeling he'll probably go Juve.

I've never seen this Deigo Capel, but a young leftsided player with potential? Just what we need.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

well, to be honest, we ve got enough starlets to start a match, a side of 11 that oozes with talent and prospect. so im not so sure if youth would help (especially if fergie keeps using them incorrectly, like miller on the wing?)

-----------------Howard-----------------
Pique---Bardsley----Spector---Heinze
Ronaldo--Miller--Flecther--Richardson
-----------Rooney----Smith------------

all great young players, and not to forget: kleberson, bellion, djordic, eagles, mcshane

Frey: I'm on United's shopping list
French goalkeeper Sebastian Frey claims he is on Manchester United's shopping list and that preliminary talks between his representative and Old Trafford officials have already taken place.

he is known to be one of the Serie A's best keepers, have had an eye on him once in a while

any of the serie a boys want to give a better in depth summary?

just joking

some dodgy decisions but best team won on the day

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

imo Saha and Smith should start, they immediately proved how creative and effective they are. Ruud is good, but not creative enough to create chances.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

ruud scores inside the bloody penalty area, he needs little creativity, but smith and saha? theyre more mobile imo

lmao, milanese cunt

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Did you guys know, we are the first Premiership team to win 1000 points because of our 2-0 win against the Gooners today. Great day.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sheer brilliant. =) It was a crappy game though, especially in the first half. Hope that Arsenal - now that there unstoppable-series is over - will lose some other matches too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What a fucking result!!!
i am loving all the excuses from the arse! :lmao:
just admit it you actually lost for once and take it on the chin

anyway from our position we really have to build on this, so far this season we have been really poor compared to our usual high standards.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

dont wanna sound cliche, but really, this is where the season turns around.

stiffler's right, further more, we need to go undefeated from here on in
