Smith is one and i know Scholes can play there but hes better in the centre.

So if Rooney goes 2 Newcastle :roll: who in the world should we go after?


Saha and RVN - Strikers

Smith and ? - Centre forwards!

I dont think we will go no higher than £25 million as he wants 2 play for us as Newcastle WONT qualify for the CL!

let's be honest...Rooney for 30m pounds??? i think not...yet, Everton won't let him go under that amount...we all know that we can afford him, but i doubt that Gills will let Fergie buy him for 30m...

what i can see is him entering Newcastle, and a little switch with O'Shea?? i heard something about Newcastle wants O'Shea to take Woodgate's place...someone tell me if i am right or wrong???

yeah lets be honest, o shea would not be a big loss, spector can take his place in one year and probbaly will be a better player...
 
Just our luck guys!! Roy's out for 3 to 4 weeks with two cracked ribs. Apparently, he got it during the Chelsea game.
So young Johnny Spector will be starting tonight. Debuting in a CL game...

Did you guys just that bit of skill from Ronaldo near the end of the 1st half (on the left flank near the side line)? How the hell did he do that? I'm glad I wasn't that defender.

Great performance tonight, passing, possession, some nice play from the youngsters, Djemba was tight, Kleberson showed what he is capable of, Smith is sheer class (what a steal at £7 million) and Ronaldo - silky skills. 3-0, bring on the draw, hope we get Celtic in our group so we can hammer the Scots and show them that they are only good in their own shambolic league. We aint Dundee. Now ITV are showing highlights over L`pool`s 1-0 defeat against a shite Austrian team last night, I think I`ll pour another Jack Daniels and coke and enjoy the rest of my nice evening. Come on the Red Devils!!!!! :D
 
Decent game, nothing special.
I like Djemba more everytime I see him play. Kleberson looked decent tonight too. Some good passing/crossing from him. Fletcher again proved he's far more effective as a central midfielder. Good finishing from Smith on the 2nd goal and Bellions goal- who looks a lot better than he did last season. Spector was alright, I thought he looked a bit dodgy at times though myself but he's still young.

As for Rooney, I hope we get him. 4 good strikers will keep everyone on their toes.
 
i cannot believe we are buying Wayne "I'd Shag Your Grandma" Rooney WHY??????? Smithy is class Ruud Is Class Louis Is Almost Class and Bellion needs a run in the team we don't need this twat hes a dirty scouser a very dirty scouser it sickens me we are turning to him let Newcastle have him please please pleaseit is beyond belief Wayne is good but we don't need him hes just can push back other young players who have come up the ranks its pathetic :roll:

Secondly, Rooney is one of the most exciting teenagers in world football and you don't want United to sign him because he's scouse? Yet you don't mind Alan Smith who used to play for Leeds? Bellion is shit compared to Rooney. Bellion is being used as a right winger too seen as his finishing is pretty poor, granted he seems to have improved over the summer.
Most of the players coming up through the ranks aren't in the same league as Rooney. Richardson and Eagles are midfielders for a start and we lack a 4th striker. Since when did Bellion come up through the ranks too?

how do we know none of these players COULD BE as good as Rooney? they need there chance to show the Manager what they can do. Bellion just needs confidence his pace is unbelieveable and if he gets his chance in the first team he won't do badly which he has already show once with his good finish against Norwich and another good finish tonight.

once again as it really irritates me when people round here act all bigger than someone else because they have a higher post count don't try and get all sarcastic with me because i didn't put any full-stops i'm pretty sure it didn't affect your reading of what i said it was just a needless comment you made to make yourself look all big and clever

however, look at arsenal.
they bought Reyes just because he's a huge young talent, though they had little need of him.
and if a young player is really good, he's gonna emerge.

Fergie buy Rooney as Bellion is crap and as the guy said Arsenal didnt need Reyes but they bought him so we should buy Rooney.

We wil then have 2 of the most exciting youngsters in europe

We should of bought Rio from West Ham instead we pay £15 Mill more so fergie is being smart as you never know haw much Rooney might be worth in 5-6 years!
 
Reasons to wWhy Rooney will choose United ahead of Newcastle.
1.He prefers staying up north.
2.Champions League Football.

He would be a perfect buy for us as we need another forward.I knew this day would come and I'm glad it has.Rooney,Ruud,Saha & Smith,what more can you ask for?? He would also be an integeral part of the team that Sir Alex is rebuilding now.Great game last nite,I love it when Sir Alex gambles and blood his kids and won handsomely too.The oldest player last nite was freakin Gary Neville!! Smith is now an official cult hero and thats 2 goals in two games for Bellion.We have Ronnie and Saha back,maybe Brown too,on the weekend but we lost Keano.With a midfield featuring Djemba Djemba,I feel its secure enuff,at least for the EPL,for now.

I assume this post is aimed at me, but I never said you had to rebuild from scratch. That was phrase. Some of your players are 'cutting edge' as you put it. But if you honestly think that Keane and Silvestre are cutting edge, you're more blinkered than I thought possible.

I mean, Silvestre's alright, but Keane is way way past it. He might have the odd decent game every now and then and obviously he's a good skipper, but he just gets made to look stupid by players who are obviously inferior to him in his pomp. Giggs has got a couple of seasons left in him and Scholes is no spring chicken either. Hence my statement about a lot of rebuilding being necessary.

As for what I said about Tottenham, I thought I'd made it obvious in the initial post that I wasn't suggesting their squad is on a par with yours. More to do with the fact that they think they're better than they actually are.
 
I disagree about Silvestre, he is a good player. As for Keane, I totally agree, his better days are behind him, and even he admits that. Giggs and Scholes are in their primes - and we have players to come in and do the job when they hang up their boots. Kleberson and Djemba are going to be great players, trust me on this - they dont get 1st team football enough to judge them yet. Remember Pires? He was called "slow" and "crap in the English game" when he first started playing at Arsenal - look at him now, a key player.
