The FA refusing to punish Meyler with a retrospective ban for his stamp on Januzaj... Tossers.

Awful decision however Southampton more dominant than Barcelona were in both finals at the moment.

Fletcher/Kagawa in CM

I think that's the lowest possession we've had in the PL for quite some time. Abysmal.

And we're playing 4-1-4-1, Fletcher as in the holding role, with Kagawa and Mata in front of him. All three have had a terrible first half - combine that with Januzaj/Welbeck not being productive at all, and an isolated Van Persie, and there you have it.

We re still champions...for a little while anyway! :BOP:

Fans have been awesome..you d think we had a great season the way they are celebrating lol

Only team without a sugar daddy to win the league in a decade trophy! Yes!

Much better second half, should really have own but Danny the anti striker was the one getting the best chances. You never want that.

Ehh at least we wont have to travel far to take the trophy back next year and we can actually do a proper rebuild without euro distractions.

Btw unless i read into it the wrong way, the manner Shaw applauded the crowd makes me think he s definitely off this summer...hopefully to us! *crosses fingers*

ffs you're the third richest club behind real and barça :CONFUSE:

Beachryan is always playing the "poor us" card after Utd spent a fortune on players for over 20 years.

Play another tune for god sake, that one is boring now.

how can poor man u afford £27m on a left back? this would make shaw the most expensive left back of all time.
luke shaw for sure is a quality player, i think he can do better than man u tbh..

He's obviously thinking about his first team chances hence why the word is he prefers united over Chelsea plus no pressure of CL football just yet.

Congrats on a great season, lads. :)

Yeah I mean I think we took impersonating Liverpool for a laugh too far, back to serious business next year.

Shaw in at LB is a nice start hopefully, entire midfield needs gutting out with two central and possibly one wide world class additions.

Sorry, was being tongue in cheek over trophy - bit like Arsene's 4th place. Moral winners or something.

Luke Shaw looks the business, but 27m is ridiculous money for someone so unproven. Crazy stuff.

Only way I'd go near a price like that is if it was about 15m up front, and the rest as bonuses depending on performance. That'd be worth it. Possibly worth noting he'll be on less than half Evra's salary presumably, so that'd save on wages.

Ferdinand and he exchanged some nice moments during the match too, could be a sign. But after last summer, I won't believe any signings til they're running around desperately making up for our hole in the middle of the park.

It was nice to see Giggs experiment with the line-ups, the 4-1-4-1 would've worked better with Carrick and an actual left winger.

I do hope we get Shaw, but that price does seem a little on the high side. But it's a World Cup year, so all prices will go crazy.

2 centre backs, one holding midfielder, one striker: it's just the 4-3-3. nothing too crazy imo, apart from playing mata and kagawa as central midfielders of course.

Why do supporters get so hung up on transfer fees? It's not you who is paying for the player so who cares?! And City paid a fortune for Gail Platt didn't they?

Yeah I have no problem with the fee, I mean as long as were coefficient with making FFP then were fine.

he's 19 and already a brilliant player, that's LB sorted for the next 12 years, but again nothing is signed yet so let's hope we can get him.

Good to see Carrick dropped from England squad. He's probably been the most disappointing part of this whole season. Obviously given his partner options he might as well have been playing with a parking cone, but after he was so good last year, we desperately needed him to maintain that level. Instead he wilted, was woeful.

If not for the inevitable half season off for Rafael, I really like the looks of this back line:

------------De Gea-----------
--Rafa--Smalling--Evans-Shaw-

Good balance of height, physicality, pace and ability. Of course, keeping them fit will be the real challenge.

Especially Rafael. It almost feels as if he didn't play at all this season.

Only Man Utd fans rate Evans - he's always a mistake waiting to happen.

And Rafael is injured half the time.

Smalling will be amazing player but ONLY at CB. Utd need to sign another CB this summer.
