Why all the crossing?

United have great ball passing players. I just don't get all the high, hopeful balls from out wide?

Very strange tactics from United.

Because we have players with great aerial abilities up front.. Oops wait we don't. But wait we do have Fellaini who s a great header! Oh oops he s been out for a few months. This is like watching the Dutch national team pre world cup 2010, until they realized classic wing play doesn't work these days.

when moyes signs Andy Carroll in the summer united will be setup for world domination:APPLAUD:

That was the most 1-sided match of football I've ever seen. Only Moyes' United could lose that.

Just magnificent. I think Fulham only had the ball in our HALF about 3 times. And 2 goals.

It's awesome to watch. The sheer predictability of it. Fulham took their first SHOT in the second half in the 94th minute, De Gea makes an amazing save, but it falls perfectly to the one other Fulham within 30 yards of goal.

Moyes has to go. HAS TO GO. Time is not the answer. We could bring in a broom with a wig on top and we'd have more luck, and energy than under Moyes.

We just drew to Fulham, who gave possibly the most defensive performance in the history of the premier league. And we conceded 2 goals.

If Moyes gets sacked tonight or tommorow morning I might just celebrate like we've won the league.

When Fulham scored I was elated. I really thought this could be the straw that gets him the boot.

How can anyone defend him? Our football is clueless. We can't defend. We dominated with about 80% possession, and we barely created any chances. These are not bad footballers. These are league winning, world cup winning, double champions league winning footballers. And we probably had 6 really good chances. in 95 minutes of us having the ball in Fulham's third for about 40 minutes of that.

Please, Uncle Malc, for the love of your investment, your glorious, glorious valuation, you HAVE to get Moyes out.

Put it this way, for almost all the United fans I know, having Moyes out this week would bring the equivalent rush of coming 4th.

I would rather come 17th and have Moyes resign than 5th through 7th.

But why just Moyes though? What about the rest of the crew? His assistants etc? Neville, Giggsy too?

Whoever comes in would replace a lot of them. The club has to be looking at that. Who knows what Giggs is contributing (can't be much!) but I've no problem with getting rid of Phil Neville. I mean what has he proved as a coach? Nothing. Like Moyes ffs! Just because we wore our shirt for half his career means nothing to his managing ability.

It's at the stage where an interim manager would be getting more out of us. A change of any kind would improve this team.

The one encouraging thing was seeing Rooney celebrating the second. He clearly does care.

This is the final f*ck up Fergie's amazing career. If he hadn't chosen Moyes, he wouldn't have even been close in the running. We should have hired a new 'CEO' type figure in the same way any major company does - by using CVs, interviews and so forth. Not trusting the out-going CEO to pick with absolute power.

No worries though. Think I posted early on in the season that we'd always need a 'patsy'. Whoever followed Fergie would be a disappointment, now the next manager will be able to start truly fresh and be welcomed with open arms.

That's also not true - everyone and their uncle knows there will be a break clause in Moyes' contract. Maybe it's finishing outside the top 4, maybe it's just by mutual consent.

While we let one man pick his successor single handedly, that man fortunately doesn't have much to do with writing contracts.

could this be the most unlucky stint ever a coach had in the football history? man, I do feel for Moyes.

Its not luck, I could see after 30min that his tactics were crap. In a way he did exactly the same as Fulham, one tactic and hope that something will fall for you. Its percentage / luck football which is screwing utd.

They don't need it with their players, and thats possibly why it is backfiring so spectacularly! These players aren't used to headless chicken football and the unpredictable nature of it is creating these screw-ups which are being attributed to bad luck.

luck has nothing to do with it... the man is out of his depth,, maybe more than Hodgson was for LFC...

once i saw Fulhams lineup i thought today they can´t fuck it up and not win, i thought they destroy them...

Moyes turned champions to players that seem lost... look at Mata today for example..

well i hope he stayes for as long as possible from my point of view..

82 crosses. That was our tactic. Rene knew it too, so he played an 8-1-1 and doubled up on all of our players in the box. Easy peasy.

I'm ready for whoever is next. Please let it be soon, we need the 'new manager' bump.

But why just Moyes though? What about the rest of the crew? His assistants etc? Neville, Giggsy too?

I think Moyes first (and potentially biggest) mistake was to clear out Fergie's backroom staff. That kind of continuity could have been a massive help during the Ferguson-Moyes transitional period.

Jose was there in the summer but united owners bottled it

It's all on Fergie. His ego enabled him to single-handedly make the decision, and much like many of his decisions in the past, it was a poor one. But he's Fergie, he'll never back down and he'll never admit he's ever made a mistake.

Is that a record for crosses ? Those are some incredible stats for a match. The crosses given and corners taken says a different story. :SMUG:

That was just the first half, and yes, it was a world record for number of crosses in any European match, at least since Opta started tracking in 2000.

Gotta say the players (barring the defending) were great today. Really motivated and worked ridiculously hard. But the tactics were so woeful it was almost comedic.

9 points off 4th with 13 games to go.

Doable but the way Utd are this season you don't really expect it, even with Liverpool inevitably slipping up from time to time.

Will be interesting/fun to see how Utd get on without CL football if they do miss out

Regardless of Liverpool's form, can United really perform better than Spurs or Everton for the next 10 or so games to get above them?

It's possible but unlikely.
