Great officiating there, way to nail the offside rule.

It's not 'if the player touches the ball' - it's if the player 'interferes with play'.

So if Jonny Evans, in a desperate lunge to stop the cross reach Cisse who is 1 yard away puts it in his own net, he is only doing so because Cisse is there. Hence Cisse has quite clearly intefered with play.

One of the biggest refereeing mistakes I've seen this season, because he has time and information to make his mind up. And still got it point blank wrong.

If dragging your defender into making a mistake (literally too, he had held his shirt) isn't interfering, then what is? To quote the rulebook:

"Preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball, for example by clearly obstructing the goalkeeper's line of vision or movement; making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent. The opponent must be reasonably close to the play so that the blocking, deceiving or distracting makes a difference."

I'm not saying we don't deserve to be losing - we've been as terrible as we always are when Fergie goes senile and starts Giggs and Scholes - but that is just such a massive f*cking annoying fro the ref, who clearly is loving getting over his 'Mike Dean at Old Trafford' label of a few years ago. He won't be officiating next week.

A complete farce, a complete shambles at the back. It's like watching schoolboy defending at times.

Lucky to have great individuals further forward though to bail us out. And another great game from Carrick who plays so much better without Scholes next to him.

As much as I've criticised giggs recently he was immense today. A constant threat on that left wing and if fergie can use him on the left and not the middle then I don't think anyone could argue his inclusion

What a match. Madness as always. If nothing else our games are more entertaining that I can remember in years.

Thought Hernandez should have had a hat trick, but got the important one. Still fuming over the offside 'goal', but am tempered by how out of line Ferguson was. He needs to put back in his 'respected elder' hat for a while imo.

Still, won without (and this is so United - and maybe Arsenal): Nani, Rooney, Kagawa, Young, Welbeck, Anderson, Rafael and arguably Vidic due to his injury recovery.

That's a ridiculous amount of talent to have missing.

I was in work so missed it all (again, sigh).

Saw that we were losing at half time...just wasn't worried.

I fucking love the way things are this season. Liverpool fan on RAWK said this about us.

'It's as though they are going to win the league this year by doing what City did v QPR ... EVERY game! To make a point.'

Does that not just sound so wonderfully evil?

Haha, that is pretty funny.
However, for personal health reasons it would be nice if they can just trash an opponent every once in a while. Maybe not quite like what Chelski did against Villa but at least a 4-0 or something would be nice. Scratch that..even a 1-0 victory would be cool if only to prove that every once in a while we can in fact keep a clean sheet. I don't like the idea that even the worst teams can step onto the pitch against United and have a realistic expectation to be the first team to score.

This is what I expect other teams think when they are scheduled to play us:

*"De Gea might be a good shot stopper but as long as we just shoot the ball hard enough he'll punch it in the most convenient location for one of our other players to tap it in. Brilliant!" (As good as De Gea is for his age..the dude doesn't exactly command the box yet. I want to see him tearing Evra, Evans, Ferdinand or whoever a new one when they don't do their defensive job)

*Giggsy and Scholesy on at the same time? BAHAHAHA

*"Valencia? Ha, and people say Robben is a one trick pony!" (I love the guy in a way but he does give a whole new meaning to being predictable at times)

*"Oh shit, here comes England's greatest striker-talent Mr. Welbeck. Uhm yeah.." (Sorry Danny, you seem like the coolest lad but I hope we'll get to see a bit more of you soon)

*"Midfield: does it have either Carrick & Anderson, Cleverly and Carrick or Anderson & Cleverly? Fuck, we might be screwed."

*"Midfield: does it have any of the above in combination with Scholesy? We win..assuming that SAF decides to keep him in for the entire game....... Damn!!! he subbed him for any of the above..we lose"

"Van Persie, Rooney, Chicarito & Kagawa ? we're fucked, no matter how many goals we score"

Title is yours. We were fucking atrocious today. Utterly, utterly shite.

Can see Mancini being sacked pretty soon

Stop talking rubbish and feeling sorry, mutd were 8pts clear last season too in April! I think. Rooney is out for a few weeks and RVP can easily get overwhelm and stop scoring.

City will start to believe again and get a good run of matches. Even Chelsea can surprise everyone and win it too. That would be special I wish they do win it. Manchester are full of plastics some complain just to try to feel like a troubling struggling supporter that goes through the emotions. Fake...heart-attack bs!

Its like rich ppl wanting others to believe they have the same amount of struggles like the average joe. No pun intended to anyone. I just think it`s insensible arrogance is not frown upon ,Falseness is .

Man, just saw some of the MOTD highlights, lovely stuff from the 'experts'. Shearer saying Cisse isn't interfering with play because it's Evans who initially reaches out to Cisse, so the contact was initiated by Evans. Sigh. So a player that is literally in contact with a defender apparently isn't intefering with him. I'm waiting to hear from a real ref because if that's the rule than half the offside calls made in each match are incorrect.

Anyway, lots of hard rumors that Walcott is coming to United rather than somewhere else. Very odd. Can't see that we'd need him or that he'd get what he wants with us.

What's fake or plastic about thinking that another team will win the league?
I don't get it.

After the transfer window it was quite clear that Utd had strengthened considerably with RVP whilst we had downgraded our squad (apart from Nastasic)

Neither Utd or City are playing well this season, other than in 20 minute spells every now and then, and both teams have problems but RVP seems to be negating Utd's weaknesses for the most part.

Fergie has been well out of line recently. No argument from me nor most United fans.

But, that's an example of a headline writing the story. Fergie's point was that as manager of United everything he does is blasted over back pages all over the world, whereas if he were manager of a smaller club - for example Newcastle - he wouldn't receive the media attention. Which is just the truth.

He also has a point on Pardew. Mr 8-year contract went out of his way to criticise Fergie talking to Dean on the pitch after the match. That would be the same Pardew that physically abused a ref earlier in the season.

To prove Fergie's point, imagine if Ferguson walked up and shoved a 4th official? The media would just burst with glee.

wow Man Utd can play bad but always win...that mentality cannot be coached by any manager but only by the greatest.

Ferguson is the best football manager to have walked the earth it has to be said.

And Ferguson critisised Benitez for that, calling him "arrogant" but now its okay for Ferguson to think he can do it for some reason? Benitez was banter with local rivals, Ferguson saying that about Newcastle is just .... Poor form really.

Anyway, just my opinion that I thought those comments were pretty bad taste but never mind. I'll get out of here before I get pulled up for being a WUM or something.

Rafa was bitter after Everton parked the bus, Fergie was comparing the two teams in terms of media backlash. He could've and should've worded it a bit better but if you watch the press conference there was no spite like with Benitez's after match interview.

SAF acts like he's the general of the greatest football army in the world and although it's often over the top and way arrogant... As a United fan I love it, but i don't always agree and i fully understand most anyone else having a huge problem with that behavior. Still, unlike a Louis van Gaal, he manages to be loved by the team, management and fanbase while pissing everybody else off as he goes. This is a the kinda guy that could probably convince Canada they can beat the US in a full on war.
