Very attack-minded, it's like 4-2-4! :CONFUSE: (Can't say I dislike it though, hope we play good!)

We'll either batter them (outscore them probably...) or we'll get battered.

Immense? Constantly misplaced passes and gave the ball away. He is not and never will be a midfielder as he does not have the poise or sustained vision of a pirlo or scholes to play that role. He should be playing the role Tevez plays for city constantly harassing defenders and leading the line.

I prefer the 3 in centre mid aswell except i would have Kagawa in Welbeck's position and either Anderson or Fletcher in the centre mid position Kagawa originally occupied.

Well played today Utd you had to change from the rigid 4 4 2 And today was excellent result.

Evra impressed me who has been poor for long time.

It's all a conspiracy against our respective clubs, damn them! :P

Very solid performance vs Newcastle, feel quite content after a game for the first time in a while. Cleverley is looking more like the player that started last season, seems a bit more energetic and harasses the ball carrier a bit more, but I suppose having extra men in that area will have helped also, rather than him and Carrick chasing shadows.

I know Rio loves playing for his country, but selfishly I really wish he'd retire from international football for United's sake. He's consistently managing injuries with us, I just don't think it's realistic for him to be travelling with England anymore, the internationals at the moment are a welcome break for him if you ask me.

Besides, all this fuss the media are kicking up is very boring, England needs to embrace the future, Terry retiring was a lucky break, so to bring in Rio instead would be a strange decision.

Anyway, back to impatiently waiting for our next game on the 20th.

i wish danny welbeck would retire from international football for England's sake.

but what a goal from clerverly if he meant it, i aint sure..

Jonny Evans is walking proof you shouldn't write off young players so easily.

Returned from Sunderland and had a solid first season, then he struggled for form and lost a lot of confidence with many fans and rival fans writing him off. But since last season when he's had to fill the void left by Vidic, he's been largely fantastic and he's on the ball ability has seemingly improved too.

Something to think about when criticising the likes of Smalling and Jones anyway.

Ugh, Stoke this weekend. Man I hate playing Stoke. I'll get in predictions early:

- Stoke create chances by using a combination of long throws and patently fouling De Gea. Commentators ignore fouls, claim De Gea is weak, and that Pulis has a gameplan

- Stoke midfielders commit at least 3 yellow-card worthy offenses each, but are ignored because relative to their seriously nasty challenges, the bar for a yellow gets raised. Paul Scholes blinks at Charlie Adam and gets a yellow

- At least one United player is injured during an 'spirited' off the ground challenge froma Stoke player

- RVP scores

- United squeak a victory

What an own goal from Rooney...

10 mins in 0-1 Stokies...

Yeah...

We have over 60% possession. The problem is, what we do with it. Absolutely nothing.

Btw it's another game at Old Trafford where we leave opposition far too much space. There is again, no pressure in the middle of the park.

This needs to get sorted out. Same shit happens far too much...

Oh yeh, can we please get rid of Welbeck? :P.

Decent win today. Very strange match - for the first 25 minutes we were poor, then the next 35 minutes we were excellent, then we ran the game out.

Professional victory, but Stoke were there for the pummeling in the 50-60th minutes. Should have gone for goal difference.

RVP/Rooney looking like a very, very tasty combination so far.

Scholes is still too slow and old to play in a midfield two, but that's nothing new.

Going to get thumped by Chelsea if we defend like that.

Aye, we were far too open in the middle of the pitch at times.

I could see us reverting back to the diamond for the Chelsea game, although I'd like to see Valencia have a run at Cole, who he's had the better of in almost every game against him.

I'm hoping to see Giggs against Braga - not because I want to see him as a shadow of himself which he will be - but because it means Fergie won't once again forget the past 18 months and start Carrick and Giggs in the middle at Stamford Bridge.

Also, believe Valencia will definitely start against Chelsea. His defensive shift and strength are important.

I also really liked what I saw from the 3 men up top today. Welbeck is still slightly too weak out wide, but RVP, Rooney and Welbz did an awesome job of running into the middle, getting picked up by a centre half and then going out wide - where their speed and ability meant not only could they whip in crosses, but that they'd also pulled out one of the CB's used to defending them. If that was the plan, it was very smart.

How much better does Rooney play when he's right up top compared to when he drops off too deep thinking he's a playmaker
