i read the M.E.N everyday and have seen things about gerrard going to united and if echo is your reliable source then that is just as reliable!

All these rumours started when ferguson hailed gerrard as the best MF in the prem.

It won't happen why would it, Manu need as much rebuilding as liverpool do.......And at least we've got rid of our stale manager, Ferguson is Spent IMO :mrgreen:

Gerrard hates manu he would never go there..............It's that simple.

Thats not the point. Smith to Man Utd once seemed unlikely cuz Leeds are our rivals yet the deal still happened. If Smith can suddenly decide to join a rival, why can't Gerrard?
Liverpool are already set to spend £14mil on Cisse which is probably more or less their whole transfer budget. I'm sure if Man Utd made a big offer, Liverpool will find it hard to refuse especially since they are trying to rebuild the team and would need the money. And you also have to take into account that Man Utd can almost guarantee silverware, a Champions League place and a place in the england squad. I'm sure these were the same reasons why Smith joined.
 
i actually can't see Heinze...since by next season, Mr. Ferdinand will be back in the lineup and i am sure that his starting spot won't be lost to this Heinze guy...

Smith...well, seeing how a team has already 6-7 forwards, adding one more is a little too much...but we can hope that there is a place for him...

Miller, don't know
Pique...if he is a future prospect, then i don't see what's wrong...we can build a few at the same time...again look back at the class of 92.
 
I kinda see Heinze as a replacement for Wes Brown. Brown isn't as consistant so hopefully Heinze will be better.

I think one of the reasons why we signed Smith was because Sir Alex might be thinking of selling either Forlan or Solskjaer or maybe both.
I personally think Man U should let both Forlan and Solskjaer go. They've done as much as they possibly could and its time for them to move on like Cole and Yorke. We already have Ruud, Saha, Smith and Bellion so we can afford to lose them.

We have another £16 million of the chairman's money to spend. Besides that we have an Imminent cash injection of £70 million to spend on players. £86 million is more than utd have to spend i can tell you.

And yet you say Liverpool "will find it hard to refuse" we have more money than you at the moment you soft so and so.............. :mrgreen:

Your saying that you have £86mil to spend plus the £14mil for Cisse? Thats exactly £100 million. Since when did Abramovich decide to invest in Liverpool?

The money is not the only factor in transfers. Gerrard is yet to sign a contract, the team need a manager, everyone knows they ain't gonna get anywhere in the champions league and he's playing for a inferior team compared to Man Utd.
Man Utd could afford a higher wage for him, win him more medals, get him a place in the england squad and more or less guarantee him a champions league place.
If Liverpool's plans go wrong next season eg. crap manager, new signings are a flop, etc, I'm sure Gerrard will want to leave regardless of whether Liverpool want to sell him or not.

Face it. Gerrard could easily leave Liverpool. I felt the same way when Beckham was about to leave. I always thought he'd never leave. I even hoped he failed the physio.
You're obviously a Liverpool/Gerrard fan so I can't blame you for thinking this way. Just accept it.

stop it!! They are different points of the careers, Keano's done the lot, Gerrard has done feck all, at Gerrards age Keano was a key part of a Championship winning side and has been the most influential midfielder in this country for best part of a decade.

As for this season well 15 points behind us and we've had our worst season for years, and thats with Keano hardly playing, so as good as Gerrard is, and as highly as Fergie rates him he's still done f*ck all compared to other great midfielders.

The scousers are f*cked at the mo anyway, so desperate for cash that they are begging some dodgy thai guy and dont even have a manager ffs, compare that to us, another season another trophy, plenty of cash and a new team emerging, so for all this scouse/manc shite that the supporters get caught up in as a proffesional footballer Gerrard knows the score and as another famous scouser said "i'd love it!!!"....
