Manchester United Thread

Im just glad Queiroz is back or thats what i hear. He would be the most crucial signing of the summer.

Why did nobody write anything about the rumours Oliver Kahn-rumors. Here in Germany many papers write that he'll go perhaps to ManU, because he wants to play in the PL.

Why Carlos such a big signing. He seems like a shitty manager in Madrid, who puts Beckham DMF? And Raul was playing left wing at some point. And the moral in the dressing room is said to be shit. I don't know what he did a Manchester that was so special. Could someone enlighten me?

Well for one the squad he had at his disposal in Madrid was a joke, other than that he didnt really manage madrid. he coached and under alot of pressure at that.

At United he improved our defense and played a major part in us winning The Prem two seasons back, also with him being continental he offers us options on the language front.

I'm glad he's back!!

Carlos should play DMF. Beckham should play on the right. I doubt if Figo should make the first team.

They'll probably use the 'Chelsea want him' excuse :P.

Thats the thing these days isnt it.Freakin Chelski.Carlos Quieroz was revealed by our players as a refreshing coach with plenty of great training technique. He was NEVER a manager, hes a coach for God's sake, thats why he failed at Madrid as a manager. He would turn us into a great side once again.Patrice Evra is rumoured to be joining us too, great player,French Young Player of the Year, what more can you say.We got a forward in Smith, supposedly a defender in Heinze,a midfielder in Miller,I say we are ready for next year, unless Fergie wants that 'magical' player he has been craving for so long now.

Isn't Evra a converted left midfielder. Maybe he can be our cover for Giggs AND O'Shea (a bit like Fortune).

Yes fortune does play that role, but if you have him, why do you need Evra? Unless hes injured or seomthing. However, you guys really need a left midfielder, someone who can cover for giggs when hes gone, after all, he is getting older every day. You tried to get Robben, Reyes is at Arsenal, so i dont know who you lads should sign, get thinking.

Yeah man, thats the thing. We are looking into that problem.Vicente was a prospect too but Fergie says he's out of the equation because he cost too high but with the current cash injection, why not ey?

He's not a natural left footer but Ronaldo does a good job on the left aswell as the right, so if Giggs does get any injuries Ronaldo could play there but then theres the question of who plays on the right, Fletcher plays miles better in the center and for me he should stay there and not go to the right wing ever again!

i think we need a back up for Ronaldo...i mean he won't be going anywhere and he's young, but with his skills rising, ppl will injure him...we need someone who can take that spot...(well, we do have old Ole...)

Solskjaer should never play on the wing again. Its just a waste of his ability. But then there are too many strikers. The only thing you could do is offload him and make some money.

I heard Ronaldo's natural position was the left hand side. Not sure if thats true but he could play there so he could replace Giggs in the future. He's also getting the "Giggs treatment" from Sir Alex so who better to play on the left?
So now the real problem would be the right hand side. I'm sure Man U could easily find someone to go there.
I'm just hoping Sir Alex uses his transfer budget wisely.

Does anyone know how much Evra would probably cost? I'm guessing Monaco would try and milk us though.

Last time he played was after the game with Leeds I think.

Anyway, our potential new defender just gave away a penalty to Brazil.

Miller played on the right for the Republic last week and was man of the match.

did you see who they were playing ;) miller is no where near ready to hold a place down in the man utd midfield and i think everyones getting a bit carried away with the back up for ronaldo when he himself wont be a regular!
