#LFC had scouts at the USA vs Argentina match to watch Juan Agudelo. And have been monitoring on him since February.

That colombian-american is the future w/o the hype . Henry seems to really like him too and think he`ll be a very big hit. He just sign up though from the academy!

Looks like a tough run-in now......with injuries piling up.

Can't wait for the summer....when we sign some quality midfielders/wingers
and defenders.

So, Flanagan is in first team for his debut tonight :) wish him good luck..

there is some rumours though about us probably selling Johnson...wich i don´t think is unreal...since we have Kelly on RB, who outplayed him this season with massive potential + now Flanagan coming up... and we need proper LB, i would not be surprised if we cash on Johnson as much as i like him... you read here first..

OK seriously, can you belive, we actually play great football again...

Lucas and Spearing are bossing midfield so far.. Carroll has finaly started to score and he owns.. Flanagan playes like if he was playing there for years...

fantastic performance in first half.

Indeed, what a deal to have Suarez and Carroll for Torres..i can´t belive Chelsea did this...especialy becouse they could have so much more lethal strikers for that money...like Cavani, for example.... Ok Torres might start to score but for that much money i would never take that deal back... Carroll looks much more complete striker, he´s not that technicaly great, but when he gets his ball, he scores.

amazing match im happy Carroll score 2 goals , i love way how Spearing play really with heart and amazing performance from Flanagan too :)

The most pleasing thing about that was, not Carroll getting two, Suarez looking sharp, kuyt working his ass off and being dangerous, the whole team performance but instead spearing and the you right back

These two players shown everything to me tonight, well done lads especially spearing

I think that would be a terrible idea to sell Johnson. We are not gonna get anything near the money we paid for him, and we are going to have only one reliable RB in the team (you cant judge Flanagan for just one match). I think we should keep Johnson, play him as a RB, and start playing Kelly as a CB (isnt that his natural position ?)

I know i can´t judge him after one match, but what a performance for his debut that was? amazing calm and very reliable, even getting help from Kuyt at times, he is only 18 !

Why i said we would not miss Johnson very much is fact that Kelly has outplayed him this season, becouse of Kelly, Johnson was shifted to LB..and tbh, he is not a left back, even if he did ok, but look what a great left back like Aurelio can do if fit...

I think if Kelly continue like he did so far, he is first choice RB no doubts.. with Flanagan as back up...

We all know we need proper LB, so i think to have 3 RB players...from what two are top class and one of them is Kelly...i have strong feeling we will cash on Johnson to buy a new LB like Jose Enrique or Leighton Baines, that are linked with us...

Johnson is great player, but Kelly won´t and should not be sitting on bench.. just my opinoion...

but then again we might as well push Kelly on CB to be Carras long term replacement...and buying a new CB who will rotate with Kelly, Skrtel and Wilson..

i can imagine pretty well next season if all fit:

RB: Johnson/Kelly/Flanagan/Carra
CB: NEW CB, Skrtel, Agger, Carra, Kelly, Wilson
LB: NEW LB/Wilson

+ we still have Insua and Ayala on loans, with Wisdom and Coady in reserves...

still i think to have Johnson is not needed in this squad in near future..i would rather see a new top CB and LB coming in summer..for right back, even without Johnson, we can play Kelly, Flanagan and Carra...that´s pretty enough imo.

Well, as I said before I dont agree, Im convinced that Johnson is an amazing player and that with propiate tactics he can be the key member of our team we all thought was going to be when Rafa brought him.
About Kelly, he is an outstanding prospect and not only that, he already is a solid player. But he should be played in his natural position so that Johnson (who as I said I think is a first class RB, Kelly is not there yet) plays regularly.
And about Carragher, I have no doubts that after Cole he is by far the worst contract in our team. He has the wages of a world class CB and he is average at best. Shoulnt have been renewed. Carragher is the one who shouldnt step in Kelly ´s way, not Johnson.
Finally, Insua is probably not coming back mate. His contract with us expires in July, I highly doubt that he is gonna want to renew it and stay in a club that did impossible things to get rid off him (same goes for all the players that left under RH & CP, which is something very interesting, because not only every player they brought were shit, but also the players they got rid off or intented to have had very solid seasons)

Well mate i don´t agree, imo Carra if he playes as CB, he still is exceptional CB and has one or two more years in him, he was great tonight, and he is worse player on RB than CB obvously

..i agree about Joe Cole..

I don´t think Kelly should by pushed again on CB especialy if he is effective as RB and he has imo more skills to play there as he is good attacking and he crosses the ball very well..

IF he weill be played again as CB just becouse to make place for Johnson on RB (wich i doubt), will he be the CB we need next season to be solid and play with Skrtel? (Agger is finished imo..not good though) Or do you think that if we buy a new top CB, that Skrtel will be sitting on bench to make place for Kelly?..i doubt it..

Well, I have to disagree with you again.
I by no means think that Agger is not good enough. For me. he is a terrific player, way better than Skrtel in every aspect, I think there is no even point in comparing the. The big problem with Agger is his fragility, but that doesnt mean he is not a quality player. About Skrtel, I have said it a lot of times, I dont think he is good enought to be a starter in Liverpool. Maybe a role player but not a starter.

We need consistent CB pair, Agger is not consistent, i also think he is better in terms of football quality than Skrtel, but Skrtel is far more consistent and not so injury prone. As much as i hate it, i´m for moving on with Agger..we don´t need to sell him, he´s ok in squad, but we need a new CONSISTENT partner for Skrtel or Kelly (depends on his progress and if he playes as CB in future). About Skrtel being good or not good enough..thats questionable, so far 3 managers (Rafa, Roy, Kenny) used him all the time of their charge in first 11 basicly since he came to the club in January 2008 (apart from his injury of course). He missed only one match as starter this season, against Sparta away.. I´m not saying this becouse he´s from my country, but obviously this managers know better..We will see in summer if they have other plans with Skrtel than first 11 (i doubt that tbh.).

Skrtel made 86 appereances since January 2008 for LFC.
Agger came year and half before him and played 93 times together.

obviously Agger had injurys, but so did Skrtel after his injury playing against Man. City.. But Agger maybe will be back hopefully...

First match I've been able to watch for a while due to moving house and what a game to watch!

Fantastic performance from the whole team, not a single weak link and it was a great effort. The likes of Flanagan and Spearing stood out due to them still being young and inexperienced yet still playing so well and being possible MOTM's.

Carroll and Suarez look like they could be forming a devastating partnership, both offering different styles but working so well together that we now have seemingly everything up front. We've got the technique, the skills, the height, the shot power, pace, aggression, awareness and teamwork.

As for Johnson, I can see him going as well. His wage demands alone will mean that he wouldn't be able to justify his high wage when the likes of Kelly (and potentially Flanagan) are able to do just as well for a fraction of the wage bill. And Henry has said numerous times that we need to trim the wage bill whilst increasing the quality in the squad as a whole.

Loved the second Carroll goal for one particular reason. THAT is exactly what'll happen if we get proper wingers in the summer.

Also a complete lack of hoofing as well :D

Cracking performance last night. Managed to catch most of the first half and was really impressed. Suarez looks a right good buy, real quality there.

Still not 100% on Carroll, but he'll cause certain teams a lot of problems. Don't understand his weird Skrtel love at corners though!

Skrtel is a more dogged centre half and Agger is technically a much better player. If Agger could keep fit and get a bit stronger he would be a better player than Skrtel due to the fact the team would play out from the back more resulting in less long balls. However, cannot argue with last nights performance from anybody. Will they keep playing like that though? That's the big question.

Great performance for Liverpool. Swapping Torres for Suarez and Carroll has proven to be a real bargain as most of us expected. Good for Liverpool, you now have a great chance to add one or two final pieces to the squad and seriously go for titles next year.

#LFC have now won 7 out of their 12 games under Kenny. They only won 7 of Roy's 20 games in charge.

#LFC scored 24 goals in Roy's 20 league games. Under Kenny they are 3 short of that after just 12 games.

#LFC's goal difference after 20 league games under Roy was -3 (minus three). Under Kenny, after 12, it's +10 (plus 10).

It's to stop people marking Carrol and give him a "free" run towards the ball. Looks like it works pretty well, was an amusing image in the 2nd half with Lescott laughing out of frustrationa at the ref with a "Oh come on" expression whilst Lucas and Skrtel were stood infront of him to stop him marking Carrol. :D

Annoying that the team can't get that intensity when playing lesser teams, however I do think that is down to a overal lack of quality in the team. It's all very well being able to hound and pressure players, but once the shoe is on the other foot most of the team isn't good enough to break a weaker team down.

A LW is needed, I would maybe rotate Kuyt and Johnson on the right depending on the opposition. RB will be a rotation of Kelly and Johnson (with maybe Flannigan as back-up). LB is another problem, You could see how much balance Aurelio gives the team, it's just that he is injured for atleast 50/60% of the season.

Wilson is definitly not a LB, his passing has been poor, he doesn't look very fast and he doesn't look very strong either. 4th choice CB for me. So that would mean either 2 new LB's, or a top new LB with Johnson/Aurelio as back-up.

Great performance though, shame Suarez didn't get the goal he deserved

I noticed that as well, creepy :D but this is not the first time i saw him sneaking around Skrtel :CONFUSE:

There was one that would have made a magic photo, Carroll had his hands on Skrtel's hips and Skrtel ducked down, maybe to tie a lace or something...anyway...
