Decent 1st half, not a lot created but tidy passing (when then ball doesn't bounce away...) throughout the team.

poor goal to 1:1... but still the movement and everything looks much better than with Hodgson...Kelly is best man on field with Lucas

Too many poor passes. Kuyt, Jovanovic, Meireles and Poulsen all pretty poor and not looking like they're really getting into the game. Movement is much better again though, and our mentality is refreshing.

Our defence has been woeful, Steve Clarke has got his work cut out.

On top of that, I don't think I've seen a player so wasteful as Meireles has been tonight.

deserved lead for better Blackpool ..

We are lacking in midfield, Meireles is poor tonight and Poulsen i dont even say this but Charlie Adam is 5 times the player as him...

This will be though...

Adam is having a superb game, as are the whole of Blackpool to be fair. We've been dire, especially in the second half. First half had some nice movement but passing let us down but everyone just seems to be panicking when they get the ball now.

Players need to have a hard look at themselves there. Meireles just turned into a lazy shit as the match went on, and that was after he wasted pass after pass.

Johnson was a huge liability at left-back.

Lucas and Reina are the only players who can hold their head up and say they were worthy of getting praise from the match.

Kuyt and Jovanovic were completely pointless and offered the square root of fuck all in way of support to Torres or attacking threat.

Shameful.

Take nothing away from Blackpool by the way, they were immense and hugely impressive. Some superb football, pressing and movement. Attitude was spot on and never gave up chasing loose balls. Well played to them and Holloway.

Let's hope some fresh talent is brought in and we can kick a few arses into gear in the process.

Edit: Just saw the best summary. Kenny wants to play passing football with players who can't pass. And that says it all. We're not hoofing the ball, we're pressing well, we're moving to get the ball, but the players aren't able to pass it and create the chances.

YEP, i hope Johnson never playes as LB again..

Meireles surprised me but he tried then..

on other i agree with you..

Blackpool deserved to win and we have to start worrying, ahead of much more biger names than Blackpool...that we will face..

At the end of the day, Kenny's not even been in charge a week yet. So not expecting him to magically turn us into world beaters, and you can already see he's got us to change our style of play. Now it's up to Kenny, Comolli and FSG to get the players who'll fit into that style.

I'm confident that we'll have some new signings by the end of January.

Jonney, I sometimes wonder if you really are a ten year old what with your spelling, your football posts and general behaviour. Wow.

A question for other people who visit this thread who ... kinda actually know something about football ... has anyone seen Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain play? Apparantly we're going to bid £10m for him, 17 year old and Southampton fans have been saying he's better than Walcott was at that age?

seriously mate what is with the attack on me? All i said is why are pool fans singing in joy about kenny being your manager? why not wait and see after 5-10 games to see if he ins a general improvement over Hodgson?

First of all he didn´t attacked you in any way...

second, he is not called King becouse he is a week in manager position... read more football books, watch more videos on youtube..

Kenny won more as manager and player in the English premier league or FOOTBALL than any other player and manager.. tell me if i´m wrong...

He called me a 10 year cold, criticise my spelling(He is just as bad) and my knowledge of football. that is attacking/insulting me.

Even a 5 year old kid could work out that out. How old are you Mr Mod?

Back to the point. how long ago was that? early 90's wasn't it. Past glories don't mean fuck all in the present. if Liverpool finish in a terrible position this season will you still call him king Kenny?

are you and other pool fans more concerned over the present/future then the past?

Yes, if he doesn't perform a miracle then we'll forget all of the leagues and cups he won previously as a player and manager. He will definitely lose King status and we'll forget all about him being one of the most important people in the clubs history.

I'm going to bed and I'll be cursing our manager for not turning the club around in the 3 training sessions he's had and the four days he's been at the club. Disgraceful behaviour.
