I'm not sure I buy the argument that Pool have hte easier 'run in'. I mean, They've played like 20 games, so both United and Pool have to more or less play the same teams over the next 4 months, with United having more of these at home than Pool. I know this is just the last 5, but it could all be irrelevant by then.

I don't disagree about it being Pool's to lose though. IMO Pool are much better at not being beaten than United, just in their mentality.

Interesting last line there Ryan, While I kinda agree with them being harder to beat I also think when its 0-0 or 1-1 with 10 minutes on the clock left we go on to win those matches more often then liverpool do.

Have to agree. Rafa is content with not losing games, Fergie isn't content unless he wins. And that right there, is what will decide the season. Unless Rafa lets the reigns off properly in the last 10 mins and lets us relax our play, we could end up losing it all.

My heart says Liverpool, my head says United. My Head also says Chelsea may still finish above us.

We still have work to do on our team, we still need to get rid of players who simply aren't good enough, and bring in quality.

Once we get a couple of decent full backs, another right winger, and a STRONG target man as an option against teams like Stoke who sit back all day long, then we will be sitting pretty, and the league will go down to what happens in the grandslam sunday games.

Rafa needs to go for the kill in certain games.

Still confident we will start to kill off games when Torres is at full fitness starting games, WITH Keane.

They were just starting to strike up a partnership before Torres's injury and Rafa fucking Robbie about.

Still think Utd will win it, not so much their quality, or even a lack of with Liverpool, but Rafa's continued cautiousness. It's cost too many points already.

The 0-0 at Stoke is a decent result. Arse and Villa have lost and it took a 85thmin goal against ten men for Utd to win. So it's not that one that is annoying me but the pretty lame home results.

I'll believe it when it's confirmed I think. Agger is a real good defender, can't see Rafa selling him and especially for £7m which is too cheap.

7m would be a steal for Milan, i think Italy would suit Agger better, if there is any weakness in his game that Rafa is potentially thinking about it is physical and aerial prowess.

However, question marks still over Aggers personal 'habits' may also come into play.

RAFAEL BENITEZ is likely to seek further talks with Daniel Agger to clarify the Denmark international’s future intentions.

Liverpool are unhappy the centre-back’s agent was spotted in conversation with AC Milan officials this week without the Serie A side having been given consent to hold any talks.

The Anfield outfit acknowledge that Agger’s agent, Per Steffersen, could have visited Milan without the player’s permission.

In Ancelotti's press conference today someone asked if Agger was going to sign after Mattioni, and he just said "Not in January..." So that doesn't really help the situation!

I think Rafa is hedging it a bit - this way if he wins the premiership he'll get any contract he wants (and a key to the city I'm sure) and if he doesn't he'll jet off to a sweet deal somewhere else, and blame the transfer interference of his owners.

Or maybe he actually does want some power in transfer negotiations like Wenger or Ferguson, as Parry is a clown? Maybe is isn't some conspiracy...

Ive never understood the whole chairman deciding transfers. Afterall its the subjective value a manager puts on a player thats important. There are enough examples that Coco messed it up and the team suffered for it.
