Re: Liverpool Thread

For non english people scousers can't be understood. My gf couldnt understand what the hell my dad was saying when they first met. And his accent isn't even that strong. :D

As for Benitez.......cringeworthy. But then I would think that no matter who it was.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Always had my doubts about a Chelsea fan becoming a temporary Liverpool chairman, especially when Chelsea are interested in a couple of our players.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Fucking pathetic.

This club is a fucking joke thanks to the two wankers who own it, this cockney prick Broughton is a joke as well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Bye rafa, thanks for some memories. Bring on attacking football please.

With who managing? Who's going to come to us, with no money to spend? And with new owners at some point, who's to say the new owners wont want their own manager?

Nobody will want to come to us who's got any quality. Certainly nobody better than Benitez.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Seems pretty much true from what I'm reading. He's been offered £3m to leave now. The problem being that the board can't sack him because it'd cost £16m to do so.

So Rafa could take the £3m and maybe go to Inter and get a signing fee.

Or stay at Liverpool, knowing the board don't want him and he'll get nothing to spend on transfers.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I'm not going into that again, it's been covered loads of times in here and always results in arguements about how you want to interpret the figures.

Feel free to do a search in this thread or on Google though ;)

Exactly Dags, that's the most frustrating part. A club source apparently said the other day that the manager would have £15m to spend. I doubt a new manager will have anything to spend and if they're treated the same way Rafa was they won't even get whatever they make from player sales to spend either.

Whoever gets the job will be a fucking puppet for the yanks anyway, they're not gonna bring someone in who isn't fully aware of the situation.

robbohuyton

Anyway, why worry? Next manager will be selected by a Chelsea fan, a banker (I said BANKER) and two liars who know nothing about football.

.

Re: Liverpool Thread

i wonder if they have found someone else to replace him.... otherwise they probably will not make such a move..

I think it is best for Rafa and for LFC that he moves on...

Re: Liverpool Thread

A positive view could be that they have found buyers that don't want Rafa, who don't want the negative publicity, and have told the yanks to try to get rid of him for a cheap as possible.

Or the more likely scenario that they have a muppet lined up who will gladly work for nothing and spend nothing and then can sell the spine of the team for 100mil and put it in their pockets......

Rafa was the stumbling block in selling Torres, probably Gerrard and Masch. I don't expect any of those here next season while we're being managed by Phil Brown.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I wonder if klinsmann is on the way then.

I heard a couple of days ago that when he was managing the German national team he would take the players to fix clocks and take the players to a bow and arrow field (am i saying it right?) to improve concentration... Pretty out of the box ideas.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Regardless of who comes in as manager (unless it's Kenny), the fans won't take to them in my opinion.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Liverpool's plight isn't even that funny anymore.

Hypotheticly, if you sold Torres and Gerrard for say, £80m, a shrewd manager with good contacts and the ability to look past the players name and fifa stats could really add some quality to the squad. Also, Real have been quiet so far but there's bound to be some relative bargains to be had there, same with City.

Benitez uses the boardroom trouble as an excuse for his misgivings but other managers have dealt with the same and done fine.

The fact the club have had to offer him millions to resign as the cost of sacking him is ridiculous and he is yet to comment speaks volumes. If if really respected the fans and the club surely he'd acknowledge the situation and just leave. Its not like if offer the money.
