Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Apparantly Gerrard will be back for the City game meaning his 3 week hamstring injury only made him miss half the Everton game and the England friendly. Didnt see that coming!

That was Jim Henson you idiot.

Jesus, I thought the thing about Scousers not having a sense of humour was just a joke?

Depends if the joke's funny...

Re: Liverpool Thread

What kind of point total do you think is going to take the league this year? 85? I could see it being even lower...strange season...

Re: Liverpool Thread

More speculation about Rafa's rejecting the latest contract offer and going to quit at the end of the season. I can't really say it's complete bollox now can I, after seeing what our occupants have done to LFC?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Not sure on the fixtures, but I think you play three more games including today before United play the next Prem game. You might be top again.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Few points:

* How was Kompany not sent off for that first "tackle", nevermind the following one?

* How did we not get a penalty from the handball?

* We just don't have enough players who can score goals

* 3 mins injury time? Really only that much time during the second half for stoppages? Hmmm ...

* Babel either wont take people on or wont pass, he needs to strike a balance.

* Gerrard and Alonso are clearly missed.

* Title challenge over, too many draws.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Is it just me or we just have to be more patience? I mean, challenging for the title means year in year out have to fight for the top 2 spots right? That means this is the first of (hopefully) many challenges, so should I not worry about them now and accept it's a learning curve? Do I (or we) have too much expectation from Liverpool for its first seasons of really challanging for the title?

Re: Liverpool Thread

What makes you think you might challenge next season? I think the fact Chelsea have been utter shite and Arsenal are the same, this season was your best chance in 18 odd years, I can see both of them finishing higher than you next season.

Re: Liverpool Thread

You're certainly not out of it yet, to assume so would be stupid. United's winning streak is absurd, and has to come to an end at some point. As long as it's not double digit points, I think you have a shout. Someone had on here ages ago that the last 5 games of the season treat pool better than United, and I agree. I think Arsenal still have something to say about the title race, not that they'll win it of course, but that they'll take points of one of the leading two. Should be interesting...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Yes, I think if we can win on the 14th it is just about done and dusted. That'd be nice for my blood pressure after the past few years :)

Re: Liverpool Thread

so how did you get Martin Hansen mixed up with Jim Henson? They're not even similar names you imbecilic wanker.

Look fella - you obviously have some personal issues that manifest themselves with you coming onto this forum and abusing people.

I don't know why it upset you so much? - maybe you got felt up by a man controlling a muppet? maybe a man put his hand up you and you had to pretend you were a muppet? or maybe none of this happened and you are just an unpleasant guy?

Either way I forgive you and I hope you sort your issues out, may god be with you :DD

Re: Liverpool Thread

Can someone explain to me who Martin Henson and Jim Henson is? :D The latter apparently has something to do with muppets, but that's about it.
