Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

Hi does anyone know of a player that had a really fancy haircut one or two seasons ago in Ligue 1? He was a black player and his hair looked similar to this guy

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

Lille got sooo lucky yesterday, first half they were terrible, no closing down the ball the way they usually do, and Sochaux were deserved leaders, then Daf got sent off and Frau coming on changed the game, very well played to Hazard showing how important he is to the team now, great winner, only 3 points off 2nd, hoping for a return to europe at least, it's very tight though

Don't forget Lille play only 22 games, one more game versus Caen.

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

I just read in the Belgian papers that Eden Hazard was fabulous in the Cup match against Lyon.
LOSC eliminated Lyon and Hazard scored a fabulous goal and provided two assists...i guess he will not stay in Lille...

Slightly off-topic: what a bunch of great young players do we have in Belgium at the moment: Hazard, Vertonghen, Fellaini, Dembélé, Witsel, Defour, Kompany all palayers who are less than 25 years old (and are more round 20...). The next World Cup comes too soon...what a shame.

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

How is Cavenaghi playing this season - i havent been able to see much from him. I'm glad he seems to be back to his days at River where is was pretty much un-markable.

Thomas - can you give me a break down of what boots the Lille players wear?

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

How are people in UK watching French footbal?

I haven't got to chance to see hardly any Ligue 1 football this due to being in Uni and when i go back home it's not broadcast on any of the Sky channels. Except Sentanta, which i haven't got.

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

I'm watching on Setanta, wanted it mainly for the SPL and Ligue 1, and now UFC.

About tonights game, really hope Lille didn't us up all their good football in the win in the cup, need some magic from Bastos and Hazard again.

Re: Ligue 1 - 08/09

WELL DONE LILLE, FANTASTIC RESULT.

Thought it was a great performance, midfield was great, bringing on Vittek made a massive difference, great header for the goal, and wonderful flick on for Bastos great finish.

Defence was great too, Malicki made some excellent saves and kept us in it a few times, Benzema going off was a bit of luck.

Hopefully this will give us a push till the end of the season.
