JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread

Re: JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/28/07)

You must press R2 to ask the ball, and then you'll see your curor name (1 + Name) on your head will shine.
But you must ask the ball in a good position, or your team will lost the ball.

To watch the game 2x fastly. There is an option in the Start Menu during the match ONLY WHEN YOU'RE NOT ON THE FIELD.
This option is before the "view option". I think it's the fourth choice inn the list. And then, the game will increase in rapidity.

Sorry for my English.

Good to know... I just got this cursor icon flashing and didn't know what it was.

And for those who are asking if you need to watch the entire game... no you dont.

After you choose what you need/want to do trainning, just choose the option on the right side.
The one on the left is to watch the game, which btw, seems to boost a little the EXP.

And in the main screen, in fastasista mode, you already know if you'll be playing or not. It shows in the formation where you'll play. If the formation doesn't have an marked position , then you'll off the game.

Now one question... are you guys playing using the "Player Cam"? Because I just noticed a HUGE slowdown playing in that cam and it's almost unplayable.

Re: JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/28/07)

You guys are being overly critical.

Bitch bitch bitch bitch whine whine whine whine.

"the passing is not fast enough"
"the passing is too fast"
"too much scripting" (how do you know what is scripted and what is dynamic AI, did you look at the code?)

i played it. it's fun. they're always tweaking it and making it different, without changing the elements that make it good.

sometimes it seems like people just need to bitch because they don't have something exactly the way THEY want in their mind, without having any knowledge of the plausibility, resources required etc.

people seem to be so critical, yet i highly doubt 99% of people have any clue the process in creating a video game.
yep, spot on mate. its the same whiny bitchers as well(not jumbo he has never really bitched before)if the core gameplay needed an overhaul(like every EA game) then i would be bitching, but the core gameplay is GREAT, and it only needs tweaks. Thats why i dont understand you guys who say this is the same shit year after year, SO WHAT... the game is great as it is, at least for the people who play with friends and not sit alone and play ML all night and day...

Re: JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/28/07)

Like i said before...

You're happy paying top whack for a tweak each year?

Which is why people turned on EA.

Re: JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/28/07)

btw, it's called Pro EVOLUTION Soccer. And like gomito says, it evolves.
We don't need a revolution in terms of gameplay/game machanics.
...ML is another cup of tea, though.

What we'll get (as we know so far)
- tweaked gameplay -> as usual
- more, better animation -> as usual
- good editing suite, incl. photo import -> new. for me it's a tribute to the active patching scene.
- more online options -> needed, as the PES/360 options are poor
- "next.gen." graphics -> as expected. the pictures we've seen is a good start (faces, "moving" shirts)
- more licences -> could be more, but it's not easy to get exclusives when they are already sold to EA...

___

for me this sounds ok. much more can't be done in 1 year. I hope the ML gets an overhaul next year...

__

I've just seen this is in the wrong thread, should be the next gen one....

Like i said before...

Which is why people turned on EA.

Konami got it right a long time ago, to capture the essence of football. Hence, only tweaks are needed.

EA never got it, they're only getting close now.

I'm talking about gameplay of course, not options, cups, etc.

Re: JLWE2007CC - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/28/07)

I don't agree with the guys who say Konami only need to do little tweaks each year. That's like saying just because a manufacturer makes a car that works, and it can drive from A to B, the manufacturer should then produce the exact same car every single year but with a 1% improvement to the gearbox and an MP3 player/other gimmick. It will always work, and it will always be a good drive, but why pay for the near exact-same car again (not an insult, if you're a fanatic then it's understandable, but I used to be a fanatic and now I can't justify the expense)? There is always, in any industry, room for improvement - especially with the advances in technology that we have now - and the companies work on improving every single element of the car all year round (with specific teams given specific parts to work with). Whereas Konami have specific teams to do specific jobs, but it's as if they can only afford to pay them to work one day a week.

If PES was a car, it would be a pimped 1997 Volvo. It's ten years old, but it's been given a 1% handling increase each year, it's been repainted, it's got racing stripes and it's had an MP3 player fitted. But the badge on the back says "Lovvo" because they haven't got the license to spell it properly.

Every member of the PES/WE team should be working hard, experimenting, getting out there and talking to their customers, finding out what game-modes people would like to see, finding out what people love about the game and hate about the game, getting a few more researchers to add more players and teams so that we have more to play with once the game comes out... But they don't. It's a case of, this year (with JLWE2007CC), "the programming team will tweak these three things, and the rest of you can just update the graphics/stats - right, let's go". Every year. (And if you're happy with that, great, just making a point.)

And before you say "EA do the same", well I'd disagree with that. The FIFA 07 engine was made from scratch, and gave complete freedom of movement, passing, shooting etc... And whether you liked the game or hated it, it was a massive change, it was very brave and a hell of a lot of passionate people put a hell of a lot of work into it. When they start building on that engine, you'll see great things, because it's an engine developed in 2006, using next-gen hardware. Konami are building on an engine developed last century, using not even current-gen hardware, but last-gen hardware.

Plus, EA add new features. The "Interactive Leagues" feature on the PS2 version was a brilliant feature, and it was a shame it wasn't included on the next-gen version. BUT!, and this is where EA differ from Konami, they're including it in FIFA 08 next-gen. So I've got something to really look forward to there.

Hopefully Konami will add the "Fantasista" mode from J-League into PES2008/2009, because I'd look forward to that as well. But it's doubtable.

However (look, positivity, so don't bother telling me I'm a miserable ****), I'm hearing nothing but good things about PES2008, apparently it almost feels like an overhaul (I'm ignoring how bad some of the last in-game shots look because apparently they do the game no justice whatsoever). And I bet the people who say "it only needs a tweak" now will be lost for words if it really is an overhaul. :)

Lovvo lol.
What you say is certainly true, it amazes me that, taking all that as given, it is still the best football game out there.

Erm... :| Okay.

So the game won't appeal to me again until I retire, then.

Just gave JLWE2007 a go........utter shit.

Just as shit as it was last year, same shit keepers who deflect 80% of shots into the net, same piss easy gameplay.

All they did is change the menus, add a couple of needless features and game modes. Had to try it though purely out of curiosity.

Just as i was expecting really. They're in it for the money.....

They owe us (the consumers) BIG TIME with PES2008 Next-Gen...

Lovvo:lmao:

Well said JB:applause:
the time has come for a new king of football me thinks, every football game has its day ! maybe PES has come and gone and it was better when it was called ISS anyway but i will give the Next Gen ago!

JLWE2007CC is alot better than PE6 and We10 and thats having played it solid for 2 days!

I have just got this game, it is quite nice, even though i know this is only for JAP region, i would still like to seen some kind of patch or translation for people like me who can't read japanese.
This would make me enjoying the game much easier, could someone please respond???

Raptile

i feel sorry for people who dont get the changes... your missing out, great game

i have just started a master league on JLWE2007CC it seems now that we have all the leagues running along side each other like the italian , dutch, english and spanish all set up by the computer but if you pick this option there is no 2nd division anybody else seen this also they all have there own set of add boards in master league just like in normal league mode think they add boards start in graphics studio at bin 10018 !

I'm enjoying it, i took it round to a friends the other night and all of them long term ISS/Winning Eleven fans agreed that the improvements in gameplay made it the best version to date, but due to the fact it isn't patched we went back to the previous version for our proper WE sesh.

Patched this is going to be a good stop gap until October at least, if you're a purist perhaps you'll want to snap it up, i was guilty of the same for several fighting games in the past, if you wanted the best version to date alas you had to shell out money even for the slight improvements ala Capcom Fighters and VF 4/VF 4 Evo, but with PES2008 only just over two months away perhaps punters will be wanting to save dosh for that.

Depends really if you feel you'll get your monies worth for the short time that it's (hopefully) likely to be the best version.

Same as the last JLeague game you can choose to set up your own leagues and have a large division 2 or you can play in their leagues which are set by country and have no division 2

I came here to see news about the game and I can only see people complainin that they want a hle new game...

Cant ya understand that's impossible? The game has reached it's top in this platform, now the only thing to do is make some small changes to correct last version's bugs and unrealistic stuff, and adding new game modes (like Fantasista). The is no room for expansion, the game is that, and it only get's tweaked every, it's not like from WE6 to WE7, when they didn't know surely where the gameplay could get. It's like the last PS1 version(WE2002), wich was much like a WE2000, WEJL2001, just with some tweaks.

I cant understand where you people wanna get, do you want next-gen graphics and next-gen AI??? This is the last version for PS2, and the game can't go beyond that...

Go play FIFA, which changes a lot every year, with, new shots, "off the ball" shit, etc...then you will see how Konami rules current-gen football...

I have a suggestion for patchers to make. A serious one that could see this game become one of the best.
Is there a way we can replace J1 and J2 with Championship and League One teams? That would be very interesting playing the Fantasista mode. Why? Simply because Fantasista goes like this:
J2 > J1 > Europe. So if we have them replaced then it would be better off starting from League One > Championship > Europe (any of the European premier leagues). That would be fucking awesome :D

i loved fifa 07 on last gen (ps2) - i just couldn't get into PES 6 after playing We10 like crazy.

Fifa 07 played a great game on the pitch imo - its not the same game as PES gives you but for once it didnt feel like an arcade game - you had to build up to goals and scrape 0-0 matches against tough teams.

I wish they'd used the same team/engine on the 360/ps3 because i couldnt stand the crappy PES 360 engine the ISS team made

Nice idea :D

Have to say played this with friend in Multiplayer yesterday after we went straight back to PES 6.

There is change an for me the change has made it slightly more enjoyable game then PES 6.I found there seems to be some new close control touches implemented Messi feels more nimble then in PES 6 i think there new animation added not sure but results are great whatever it is. Shooting abit more improved now i think there a new curl shot i never noticed it in PES 6 and played for long time if you stop and press :r2: :square: does like a high curling dink quite hard to pull off actually because got to do it at angle but its great. Well more games will see but it appears forcefield around keeper has been removed slighty i think it could be more 50/50 thing now will have to see. Keepers i noticed great saves in 2 games though played with friend there was one parry i dont expect this to been fixed but we shall see in more games.

Overall quite enjoyed it and looking forward to playing this Fantasista mode at some point. :)

Lami, that would mean my beloved Tranmere would be included.

LET'S DO THIS!!

Ho-hum, having played it I found it an improvement in minute ways, but I REALLY DO think that someone needs to stick a boot under the arse of Konami's music director for PES/WE!!!!!

I used to ask about a save over on pesfan which would make the division 2 the english championship. I used to set the leagues up so i had a spanish league seperate from the premiership etc...

But i only ever had replies from people who said 'why would you want to do that? the master league is perfect already with man utd in the same league as juventus and B munich'

I may be crazy but i just cant get into the ML while the teams are set like that - i much prefer the game to mirror the real world - then when i get into europe i play the big names like barca.

-

I wonder how it would be possible to get the premiership teams into fantasia.

Id guess the game mode is set so it uses the teams that are in slot (example) 3 4 5 6 7 etc which are the J league teams.

so you'd have to swap the teams around and then it should work ok

I don't think it would work. Even last year I tried this, but there is restriction in the game, that only players of 3 nationalities can be there in one team, so I don't think it would, unless of course all Championship and League One teams have only English players, and two more nationalities.

it's 3 foreign players max on a game sheet indeed , that's the rule . though it would work to make leagues with the same rule and replacing the nationalities . for example making I was making moroccan league over j-league in the previous version but I didn't have enough time to finish it . maybe I'll do that for this version once tools are released :)
