I'm not massively a fan of what Johnny is saying, but it could be cool. Like have a FIFA 'Changing Room' where your 'Club' can put trophies etc, have a white board for talking tactics and when the game is over, get booted back into Home to you can discuss it all in the changing room.

I dont know if it would happen, but what I've seen of Home so far, it wouldnt surprise me - i.e. you can launch GT5p from the pods in the Exhibition area... same principle...
 
That would be very good especially if Fifa could implement a training ground into it as well :))

but just as a place to meet for games it pointless because there are easier ways to do it

Yea definitely... from what I have seen of Home so far, the potential is just vast - you can see ideas on every part of it.

If it has got a football game in it (not seen it myself yet), then that could be 'outside' the training room, so inside you can talk tactics and when playing matches in FIFA, anyone waiting in Home can kick their heels on the training pitch 'game' in Home.

Or even, step through tactics in the Home game, then take that to the whiteboard, then that into FIFA!

Probably wont see that sort of interactivity in games for a while, but I think the foundations are there to be used should devs choose to.
 
One thing that is pissing me off is when playing bowling. I was due a really good score and the guy I was playing against finished his final turn, had no chance of winning and then fucked off. I couldn't finish my game then so no idea what my final score was going to be. Annoying as fuck!
 
Just got a glimpse of how games will interact with Home!

With the Hong Kong version I downloaded, the code automatically added "Namco Musuem Demo" to my cart, so I downloaded that too.

Just played some DigDug in the demo and after the game, it has an COD-style XP level up and when I reached the next level of XP, I unlocked 2 items for Home. A bubble machine and a DigDug cap!!

Just went into Home and it says "New Item Received" when loading and in the game, I now have the 2 items available.

I can see this being a massive thing in games now - like score a hatrick in BAP and receive a FIFA T-Shirt - or even a poster for your appartment wall with your player on it celebrating etc...

Genius...
 
I like the idea of game launching. You can piss around in home for a while - then as a few of your mates come online and go into home you can get talking and arrange a game on something - then all load the game up play a few games and then return to home and arrange a different game. And while you're in home you could always get a group of mates together and then ask around if anyone wants a game against you all.

According to Home Community Manager TedTheDog, the new v.1.01 update for Home was only for Korean language localisation fixes.

I'm hoping they get rid of the stupid waiting system for games. And allow us to just launch our own games in our own vision of home with our friends rather than having to stand around the pool tables on the off chance the people playing decide to call it quits.
 
Lots of things need tidying up, or speeding up and fleshing out but it is only a invite only Beta atm and thus I would like to think there is alot more to come from it, till then, I doubt I will be back in there much.

Yea, I think they should have 'open' tables, so even though there are people playing, if you want to play pool too, you just walk up and click 'play' and you get your own table.

I do *kind* of like the idea of waiting in a way as it reminded me of hanging around in arcades waiting for the older kids to get off the cabinets :LOL:
 
Well 2 of us were hanging around a pool table waiting to jump on after the guys on it said they were coming off after one of them wins. we waited for about 20 seconds and before we could jump on some cock came running over and started a game. so we couldnt do anything - i sent them a message saying' we were in the queue to play next!' - and they quit and called us 'dikhads' so i reported them and we had our game.

when our game was about up i posted saying 'GAME ENDING SOON' and people came over then and we handed it to the first 2 who came. semed the fairest way. But ive seen a lot of hoggers online and its very annoying
