Played bowling last night and had a good laugh.

I've already got the guy added as a friend and said we'd meet up for a date on FIFA 09 for a game.

There should be a flippin large batch of invites goin out today, if SCEE can get there act together

No invitations will be going out today, thought I should make that clear straight away.

However, those that have not received their emails from last week (we can tell who they are) will be re-added to tomorrows batch which is on course now.

More news tomorrow and dont forget, tomorrow night has a load test session starting at 7pm UK time for the lucky ones who get an invite. For everyone else Open Beta is not far off now.

What people say about it are true though

yeah you will enjoy walking round a Gaming event for 10 minutes but after that you would never visit again

Its makes me wonder how they are gonna keep people going on Home because they can only add so much stuff to it and at the minute nothing there is worth going back to and i cant think of anything that would be unless they turned it into a kind of Sims/MMO game as well

its just like a forum then. u browse a thread for no more then 10mins and thats it. u only come back for new info or if u wanna post something.

u have got to think of Home as a 3d Forum/chat room. judge it for what it is and what it does, dont class this has a game in itself.

is it easy to find friends in there? easy to talk and meet new people? does it lag? does it take a long time to load?

those are the kind of things Home should be judged on

So why do you need to go virtual when we have forums/chat rooms?

Its all a novelty that will wear thin very very quickly
 
Home is not a game, its more like an application

Its a big ass chat room, and the Arcade games will keep ppl coming in

Home is what u make it, if u choose to just walk/run around and not interact with ppl then offcourse it will be boring

And this is a Beta not a Demo

They are just testing the new servers

Do you have to walk around to all the different spots or can you teleport?
 
That's a relief, can you teleport whilst someone is talking to you?
 
I know, I'll reserve it for random folk who talk trash.
 
good news. they are opening 3 new areas, one will be a Gym, sports centre (football, basketball etc)!! you can talk to the SONY guys right now in Home!!!
 
After reading the official forums it seems more people who are new to ps3 and have hardly been online got in rather than long time owners. sucks and shows that sony don't give a shit about the 'loyal' fans... they're more interested in rewarding the new customers.

Never mind - the open beta kicks off 15Dec to 30th and has loads of extras like weather and money (which is based on how many trophies you have). I'd have liked to get an invite but then again - the last thing i need right now is more distractions from Fallout 3 and Resistance 2

I had my invite on a Sunday mind. I read the invites went out earlier but I still only received on the Sunday so you might get "lucky" on the weekend.
I wouldn't worry about it though as it's just not all that good at the moment.

After saying that, I still find myself drawn to it when I could be playing better games instead. I told one "girl" last night that she had a nice rack but "she" ran off. I found it amusing though.
 
Just had a quick go - really impressed!

Yea, theres not much to do yet, but look beyond that and the potential is HUGE. Noticed the 'Game Launcher' in the menu too...
