Re: Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)
DJ, you gotta back this up dude.
If you just dont like the feel of the game, then so be it - but you cannot say the physics are not professional (IMO) without giving a reason.
To me, playing the in-car view, with the wheel/pedals etc is AS CLOSE to real driving as you can get. I've been driving 14 years now - and I've done alot of driving and consider myself a good driver.
Now to me, that personally means the physics in the game are incredibly realistic.
To say Forzas are 'closer to real life' when using the arcade view and a joypad is a bit mad!
Aside from the lack of a damage model and some issues of 2 wheels on the grass, I dont think there is much wrong.
That said, have you driven a Ferrari F40 at 120mph down a track with 2 wheels on a level grass area?
What do you expect would happen, if you drove a Ford Focus at say, 60mph down a race track with 2 wheels on the grass? An immediate 360 spin out? The be dragged over to the grass? The car to flip and explode?
In all seriousness, I personally dont think much would happen. You'd get some major vibration, but as long as you didnt hack at the wheel you'd probably be able to get the car back on track with little consequence.
If you know different, then I'd like to know (genuinely, not being sarcastic!!)
