[General Discussion] What have you been playing this week?

I'm not gonna lie - the process was an absolute pain in the bollox.

You do need a Dev Mode, but you can very easily switch between the two.

The whole process, as I said, was a pain, but only up until you start to understand how it all works.
I would compare it to installing option files. Back in the day I was getting very confused on which boxes to tick, should I update this, or that and it was messy.
Until one day I understood how it all works and never needed anymore guides since.

It's like this here. Took me a gust of a day, where I got really frustrated and had to give up at the end, but then I continued in the morning and realized that I was about 90% done previous day. And the video guides are really well done.
Just few moments that might trip you up, but that's where me, or @geeeeee can help.

I was supposed to install one emulator and now I have three - one for PS1, one for PS2 and one for PS3.
So it can't be that hard.

I'm more than happy to assist anybody and forward all the guides that I used, so if anybody wants - hit me up on private.

That's what you get for being nice!
Just send them all my way, while it's all fresh in my head. šŸ˜

Edit:
One last thing, @el niche - you will need external drive for this and it has to be formatted to be used as Media, so if you are using one for Xbox games - this won't work unfortunately.
Did this a few years back on my S, and yes its a pain in the ass, but i got to play NBA Live 10 and other great games, so deffo worth it

Thanks man! seems it will require some tinkering so I will def reach out when I have a bit more time + an external drive. Will start researching and checking out videos.... but will hit you up when I make the jump

You tickled my interest with a PS3 emulator.... Didn't even know it ran....

Fuck... I did say PS3 didn't I?
The last emulator is actually Xbox 360 emulator, not PS3.
I was thinking about console generation rather than specific console.
I'm playing Pes2013 Xbox 360 version.
Apologies for confusion.
Reach out whenever you want, pal. You know where to find me.

Ps. it's worth going through the bullshit for this banger alone:

I try to skip the menu as fast as i can on Pes 13 just because of this fucking song.
Fucking hate it!
Damn you!

Well, I know what I will not be playing next weekend or the weekend after that and that is TDU Solar Crown. Another racing game copying the worst elements of Forza Horizon, NFS and The Crew Motorfest.

NBA 2k25, Top Spin 2k25 and BG3 with the new patch. Also watched a bit the children play Blackmyth Wukong.

I don't see it at the Level of 2k11 for 2 reasons: gameplay still has some animation issues and defending issues which now have plagued the series for a while.

Franchise Mode itself is fine but if you like to start a player career with your own created player it is one of the worst monetisation pushing games I have seen. Even slower Progression rates for your player, even more pushing you to pay for VC to upgrade and a purposefully bad designed grind. As someone who likes Player Career modes I think NBA 2k25 is an awful experience for players seeking a nice progressing Single Player Career with a created player.

Like I said Franchise mode is fine but still for me the game is disappointing since basically my favourite part of older NBA games is unplayable now.

The ai especially defending ha been dumbed down for years.
Havent played mycareer in years, and always thought it to be cheesy, so cant speak for it, but even ai on Myleague/Mynba has been going downhill for a long time.
Im playing this game after a few patches, never day one though

Agree. Don't really get how you can compare the gameplay to classics.like 2k11 or even my hidden gem NBA Live 10. Nowadays the NBA 2k Games have bad Defensive gameplay, don't represent the sport as well as older titles (unless you let yourself be fooled by the presentation) and have become horrible regarding monetisation even of single player modes.

I agree, i stopped buying 2k with 22 being the last one bought, and modern 2ks cant touch the 2k11-12-14-16-17. and me being offline player i see no reason to play anything else.
The monetisation has ruined it, not as bad as FIFA/FC regarding gameplay but still as predatory as them

These past weeks I've been watching too many tutorials on Youtube and these past days I finally, after landing on grass, on top of houses, off the runway, crashing everywhere, I have been able to complete flights from beginning to end following the flight plan with soft butter landings. They're ILS landings, so the airplane does 95% of the job, but still satisfying. Using both the Airbus A310 and the A320v2

Doing 1-2hr flights around Europe taking Polish LOT passengers for a wild ride and USA with Spirit/Jetblue

I started playing finally Starfield with my new PC & Monitor after I buying it on steam last christmas sale.

And also some frindlies in EA FC 25 10h trial version.

EA FC 25 the sim slider setup and tactical AI settings are good ones. Not perfect, but not very bad. And it seems really at which daytime you play.

Manor Lords and Ghost of Tsushima. All 3 games on my new PC.

The new NHL game seems decent. Playing 10-hour EA trial and it is slower and more realistic than previous versions. It's still far from perfect but for the first time in a couple of years, this is a step in the right direction.... Until they speed it up with the first update :D

Just wiped my PC then 1st thing I do is install Championship Manager 0102, WE9 LE, FIFA 16 Classic patch, haven't played all those in ages. I haven't been this happy in a longgg time, this is heaven, forget EAFC25 and modern nonsense.

Starting CM0102 now as Spurs, horrendous squad of weird talent, Rebrov and Acimovic anyone? The simplicity of the CM0102 text and crowd chants is bliss, as imagination will always beat dots and pixels.

This week I had played: TW: Warhammer 3, EAFC 25 and Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

But I have defenitley to less time to play and finish every game I have.

Nba 2k12-15-17 MyCareer, still a horrible game mode, havent played it since NBA 2k15 back when.
Gave it a go, but scripted as hell.
Then finished my first season (this time) on NBA 2k17 Myleague, brilliant as always.
Got in to the league as a undrafted rookie on a one year minimum deal.
Turned out pretty good

Then some Witcher 3, lvl 22 and taking it slow, lots of side missions and question marks being ticked off
Must have 60-70 hrs by now in it.
Love it

I've always felt Evo Web needs a thread for "Should I buy / Recommend games", but bc there isnt, I'll ask here:

Any thoughts on Final Fantasy 16? Played the demo and actually enjoyed it.
I know there are complains about it not being an rpg and more of an action game (fine by me) or open world (fine by me, actually feeling burnt out on games with a gigantic map full of icons and pointless sidequests to do; example: "find 15 plants and take them somewhere").... just tell me where to go and who to kill.

hows WH3? I really like Total war games, but dont know anything about warhammer lore. Asking more from the strategy aspect. Or should I just stick to the historical ones.

Bought a Lenovo Legion Go and really enjoying Games on it. On the one hand playing FC 25 and Old School Rally on it, but also installed some emulators and playing Gran Turismo 4 and Need for Speed Underground 2 again.

For FC 25 I have been using the Icons in Manager Carrera Squad file and have a lot of fun with a Man United Squad with Cantoa as a striker.

Hi el niche mate, me too. It is my first time playing it.
The TW: Warhammer games are like a bit the same like the historical ones. You have different units I think, with the typical rock-paper-scissors principle. + some units which can fly (dragons) and some heroes with magical spell might's. It have a touch of fantasy.

But I played just one or two hours a campaign. Because I had a bug. My first mission was to occupy a town but I destroyed it, (for meat and blood). :D
And the campaign progress was stuck. I could not finish a round.

But I'm not sure, if you would buy it, which campaigns are with the game. Because I have all 3 TW: Warhammer. And with the launch from TW: W3 there was only a story campaigne were not the same like the standard campaigns in TW. And a coop campaign.
And like I sayd, I have all 3 games. While the fractions from all 3 games are available for one normal TW campaign. (+ optional DLC's)

PS:
I hope you are safe and healthy because of the damn hurrican over Florida!

Thank you. I'll stick with the historical which are still good for me. I think wh3 was on gamepass so ill check it if its still there

Thanks we are ok in South Florida thankfully we just got some wind and barely any rain. So for us wasn't bad

Wrapping up the main story for Witcher 3, not there yet, but soon.
Not sure if i want to dive in to a massive open world game straight away, but have been tempted to go AC Odyssey, i know it got a mixed review mainly because it wasn't a "AC" game, but recent YT videos I've watched is really positive if you treat it like a non AC game and more of a action RPG .

Otherwise, nba 2k17 , almost done with my second season and heading to the playoffs
