My prognosis for tomorrow: Raikkonen - Vettel - Alonso - Webber...I see both Mercedeses finishing lower than 5th
 
Monaco has been a dull race for many years now. I hold the unpopular view that modern Formula One has outgrown this particular street circuit. The track offers limited overtaking opportunities and the race is always at the risk of being red-flagged with any half-serious accident.

Monaco will never be left off the calendar because it has history, glitz and glamour, but honesty I wouldn't miss it if it was gone.
 
Well Monaco has 3 so-so overtaking spots...the best one, chicane after the tunnel has been ruined ahead of 2011 season race when they added that stupid yellow bump on the inside of the curbing. I mean, in Alonso-Perez battle today Alonso had to cut chicane to avoid beaching on it or bouncing of it into Perez, while before 2010 they would go parallel through whole chicane without Alonso cutting it.


On the other hand, this would be a fantastic race if pits were a bit less crowded and with max speed allowed 100 km/h like on every other track instead of just 60 km/h. Because of that everyone sought a one-stop race and because of that before first SC came out we had 30 laps in which Van der Garde and Maldonado (who were last two at that time) were lapping 1-2 seconds faster than leaders. I mean, where on earth leader of a race is 2 seconds slower that last man?!?!

All in all, race was actually quite good from 6th place backwards. Good fights all through the lap, nice overtakes without the help of DRS so bravery, skill and sheer speed were rewarded.

Raikkönen has equaled Schumacher's record of most consecutive points finishes (24).
 
this season is finished, they should just give vettel the championship now tbh init. also i reckon mercedes should get dicked all their points for cheating on the testing.
also r.i.p to marshal who got squashed by recovery truck..
 
Was a bit disappointed by the Renault in Montreal, were weaker than I expected them to be. Great job done by the Force India (again) and Vergne, winning a 6th place for Toro Roso in such a field is great.
 
Well nothing is finished yet. Last year Alonso had 40 points advantage with less races to go and because of 2 accidents he couldn't avoid (Belgium and Japan) he lost all his advantage and lost his championship. Something similar can happen to Vettel this year
 
F1 is heading dangerously close to another boring period again. I thought the series had improved in recent years with closer racing and more championship contenders, but Vettel will win the title this year with ease.

Tyre management has always been a part of F1 but it has gone too far. The FIA needs to take a look at this and fast. I'm still not convinced by DRS or KERS either. Overtaking should be an art, not something that happens at the press of a button.

I'm not anti-Vettel as I'm not particularly partizan for any team or driver when it comes to F1. I just want to see some of the best drivers in the world, racing hard and giving 95%+ at all times.

I find myself enjoying WTCC, BTCC and DTM much more these days. The racing is closer and more pure.

Wonderful drive by Hamilton. Even with the tyre incident he was able to bounce back and get an outstanding fourth position.

I think Massa and Hamilton were amazing to get into the top 10 after bursting their tyres. Part of me wanted Webber to win really badly, since it's his last British GP and after his poor start.

Awesome end to the race. I'll take Alonso's 3rd.
