Football Manager Series

Come on, you just need to click on the link to see that this is not true. https://www.pcgamer.com/epic-games-store-free-games-list/
My man, I've been playing FM for ages and I know people that got FM 22 and FM 23 for free via Epic during early September of 2022 and 2023.

I can literally hand you a phone number to check it with one of my best mates, that just got FM 24 about a week ago via Epic as well.

They were available for a short period of time, same as FM 24 was a few weeks ago; they are not on the list? Weird because they were available as stated above.

I will speak to @Chris Davies at some point this week and come up with some sort of Mega Pack.
That way we can update FM24 to have all the latest graphics, data update and must have essentials.

Will host the files separately and as one big download for people - So that it can just all be extracted to the documents folder (what can anyway)

So if anyone has any must have mods, which you feel need to be included then please list them below.

I will also put all the ISO's for the games which have been made available by SI via FaceBook and Abandonware at the same time.

I would put down the release date as hopefully around October 1st ish.

I'm doing a revision of CA/CP of players to the new season, right now, only first league of England, Italy, Germany, Portugal and some teams in Spain.
It's always subjective, but it will be more similar to FM25 than the current database.

Test it, and if you want i can share when i have more changes.
It's compatible with every database custom updates.

It seems like the Off/ On Possession isn't only for EAFC. Lets see

Apparently it's true:

That's pretty good.
So tactics look like they have been improved for this year.

Only thing I am worried about do all these changes allow for a 'Diablo' formation

Hello guys, does anyone know how I can export the following data from FM?

"Name","Nation","Club","Position","Age","Acceleration","Aggression","Agility","Anticipation","Balance","Bravery","Composure","Concentration","Corners","Creativity","Crossing","Decisions","Determination","Dribbling","Finishing","First Touch","Flair","Heading","Influence","Jumping","Long Shots","Long Throws","Marking","Natural Fitness","Off The Ball","Pace","Passing","Penalties","Positioning","Free Kicks","Stamina","Strength","Tackling","Teamwork","Technique","Work Rate","GK Rating","Unique ID","Right Foot","Left Foot","GK","SW","DR","DC","DL","WBR","WBL","DM","MR","MC","ML","AMR","AMC","AML","ST","FR","TS Rating","FS Rating","DC Rating","Cur A","Height","Weight"

The trailer makes me laugh that playing Football Manager is a massive social thing of hanging round with your mates having a massive laugh with it.

The reality of football manager is 1 geek/football obsessed person sitting alone in their room not wanting a single distraction.
Going through passing stats and finding a player to fit your system.
Putting on your finest job interview suit when you reach the FA Cup final and treating it bigger than your wedding day.

That trailer is the absolute complete opposite of what FM players are actually like.

Does anyone else get a lot of AI-generated vibes from that trailer? This trailer has done nothing, but confuse me more about the future of the game.

No beta this year either, unless something changes.

There will be a BETA this year there always is.
It give people who pre-order the game a bonus and also gives SI incredible feedback and bug reporting - It is absolute win-win for all parties.
Hence why FM is always heavily patched in the first month or so of release and this year will probably be heavily patched all year.

I have already pre-ordered the game for £28.99 from CDKeys and looking forward to the new era of FM.

Apparently not this year. No mention of it in their pre-order literature, and those in the know say there isn't:

And while we're on the subject of YouTubers - as much as I'm excited for the "new era", Zealand (who I consider a genuinely decent gaming YouTuber, something I can't say about many others) said this... Fast forward to 1:42 if it doesn't do it automatically:

These guys know behind-the-scenes stuff, and to say "the game is changing", "they want as many people to play it as possible", "the insular, grindy community that existed around the PC game for a long time aren't going to be the only people playing Football Manager"...

All of those sound scarily like "dumbing down" to me...

Sadly I agree, they are going to go for the casual market and that will dumb down the experience, looks like it is all now about £'s.

Bonjour les gars, est-ce que quelqu'un sait comment je peux exporter les données suivantes depuis FM ?

"Nom","Nation","Club","Position","Âge","Accélération","Agressivité","Agilité","Anticipation","Équilibre","Bravoure","Sang-froid","Concentration","Corners","Créativité","Centres","Décisions","Détermination","Dribble","Finition","Première touche de balle","Flair","Tête","Influence","Saut","Tirs lointains","Lancements longs","Marquage","Aptitude naturelle","Sans ballon","Vitesse","Passes","Pénalités","Positionnement","Coups francs","Endurance","Force","Tacle","Travail d'équipe","Technique","Taux de travail","Note GK","ID unique","Pied droit","Pied gauche","GK","SW","DR","DC","DL","WBR","WBL","DM","MR","MC","ML","AMR","AMC","AML","ST","FR","Note TS","Note FS","Note DC","Niveau A","Taille","Poids"
With an external editor. Ask @totti88

It means that they are targeting consoles users ?
I'm directly quoting the video, I don't know anything. But the redesign of the game's menu system (using "tiles" instead of menu screens) is to help with different screen sizes (e.g. monitor vs TV screen vs mobile), so you could infer that.

I have total faith in SI and I don't feel that they've ever let me down from a gameplay perspective. But it's concerning when one of those "in the know" is releasing a video where he's basically preparing his followers, essentially saying "they want more people to play the game". That could mean UI redesigns, or it could mean dumbing-down.

I feel like what he's saying is "there's going to be more dev time focused on getting new users into the product - it's not all about us PC nerds any more". But then, that's their core audience...

The most important thing that maybe will take years, that EA actually failed to achieve it, is the gameplay's difference between the woman and man matchs.

Statement from Miles Jacobson regarding the FM25 roadmap:

"Each time we make an announcement, the next announcement date unlocks. So once the 'Introduction to Women’s Football' content goes live, the next announcement, and the date for the next announcement, will be known. But it doesn’t end there - the roadmap is going to be a living thing. It’s not just about gameplay announcements, it’s also going to be about the games themselves."

"I’ve spoken in the blogs previously about how our content updates in the future aren’t all going to be just patches for existing content so new content going into future updates will also be announced via the roadmap when FM25 is released so you’ll know what’s coming. Some of these will be small, some will be big. And with the roadmap being live, some things may move around."

Makes it sound like features will drop through the year...

I wonder if there's a paid contents updates
With such a strong modding community, if they started charging for a new country or a transfer update, someone would make a free version I'd bet - unless they make it much more difficult to edit the data (but that would be controversial).

For new features I guess they could do, but I can't imagine they'd do that - or you'd be paying full price for a game, half that again for new features and then full price again a year later, which might not help sales.

As others have alluded to, I don't think you're correct. There has been no mention of it anywhere and it is usually clearly marked on the Steam store page of when beta vs actual release is.

Didn't they do something similar with mods to ad boards? I think it was ~FM 2018 where a mod was released with real ad boards, but SI quickly shut it down which stinks for those of us not letting real advertisements appear.

I know I am not correct.
There has been no announcement of a BETA and YouTubers confirmed there is no BETA about an hour or two after I posted that.
