PS3 aswell? I know it wasn't mentioned but surely it will be included?

I assume so, but the information was taken from here http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-create-a-boxer-fight-night/51373 and at 1:12 he says "you can take whatever music is on your Xbox hard drive", maybe he just meant to say console rather than Xbox.

No.
;)

Im making DJDoc

anybody want him from me??

thats if they have fat cunt weight limit

1. The dude who's playing should never, ever go near a boxing game again, he makes it look like some shitty button masher with no style, or tactics at all.

2. What the fuck is up with his CAB's physique? Looks like the hulk or something, looks really stupid.

3. When you select an opponent you can only see his height/reach/weight/stance and apparently can't see his stats or his boxing style? That's a major letdown IMO.*

*looking at the video again it seems there is a "compare fighters" option at one point, just the IGN guy goes through the menus so fast it's hard to see at which point it's available.......

Fight Night Round 4 Q&A

Brizzo the producer of FNR4 did a Q&A recently on the EA forums, as with every thread ever on the EA forums it's full of crap and requires hours of patience to wade through for the answers, so here they are in one handy post.

(spoilered due to length).
Q: Are CAB stats for fighters you create to import ito Legacy fully open so I can create who i want.

Brizzo: Yes, when you create a boxer and import them into Legacy Mode as an opponent they retain the ratings that you gave them.

Q: How much Microsoft Points will the boxers for DLC cost?
And when you retire from legacy mode will your boxer in fight now have bad attributes like at the end of legacy mode or will his attributes be when he was at his best?
Thanks EA,
David.

Brizzo: Don't have an answer on exact DLC content or cost at this time.

Created Boxers for Fight Now and Legacy Mode are completely separate and we just allow you to create talented (high rated) boxers for Fight Now without having to play through Legacy Mode.

Q: Can you post a screen of the "Wide" Camera View, and give some more detail about it???

How Customizable are the stats/equipment of the Regular 48 Fighters??

Brizzo: Can't post a screen right now, but the wide camera view lets you see both boxers from head-to-toe for most of the action. Similar to the Referee camera but from a further away.

The Create/Edit Boxer feature is very robust. Each boxer has 14 Boxer Attributes (Power, Speed, Etc) and you can customize their trunks, gloves, socks, shoes, groin protector, mouthguard and robe.

Q: Will the game feature hotter, and better-looking ring girls this time?

Brizzo: LOL.

No comment at this time.

Q: Could we please get a list of all the sliders we will get?

Did you fix the winner announcements and made them more suspensful?

Did you make the ring entrance longer?

Brizzo: In the final version there is a Slider for Boxer Speed, Boxer Power, Boxer Toughness, Referee Foul Awareness, Referee Damage Awareness, CPU Punch Output, CPU Offensive Awareness and CPU Defensive Awareness.

The Post Fight Decision Announements are different in the final version.

The ring entrances are the same length in the final version. This iis not something we would have been able to address in a short period of time. We will have to look into it for DLC.

Q: When you release DLC, could you please ( ) include an option to turn off the corner game and replace it with a balanced auto recovery procedure? (restoring a more or less constant amount of health, stamina and damage between rounds)

Brizzo: There already is an Auto Recovery option that recovers whatever you need most.

Do you mean that you would like the Auto Recovery logic to be different?

Q: how many arenas are in the game

Brizzo: There are 12 different venues.

Q: IN Legacy Mode can we watch other cpu fights or do we just get results.

Brizzo: Nope. Sorry, you can only see the results.

Q: Will there be a stamina slider?

Brizzo: Not in the final game, but possible for DLC.

Q: Can we lower the value of regeneration percentages for the corner mini game? If not can and will you all make this an option via DLC?

Brizzo: There is no option to adjust the percentages. It is something we can look at for DLC.

Q: Can we adjust sliders before we send a challenge to an online opponent? Say if I wanted the fight speed ramped up can I do this before I challenge the opponent, he looks at the settings/sliders and the can accept or decline?

Brizzo: At present, all online fights must use default settings. That type of advanced match customization really caused a lot of online problems. But this is something we are still working on.

Q: You say you will be adding buttons via DLC, can this only be used for offline play? TPC all around for online play is the fairest way to go or only make it so buttons can be used in unranked matches if they are included online.

Brizzo: We might be adding buttons via DLC. Whatever we do, we will ensure that the integrity of online play is maintained.

Q: Will multiple weight division fighters be added in their other weight classes via DLC at a later time?

Brizzo: That is a possibility.

Q: If all these fighters are in their prime why is James Toney a Heavy Weight and jermaine Taylor a Light Heavy? Both should be middle weights. And again, will these fighters along with others be included in their other wight classes VIA DLC?

Brizzo: If boxers were still active, or if they requested it, we included them in their current division. We include the original 8 divisions. Since Taylor fights at Super Middle now, he was bumped up from middleweight to the next available division.

Q: What are the 4 difficulty levels?

Brizzo: Amateur, Pro, Champion and G.O.A.T.

Q: Will Tessitore, Atlas and the ring announcer say peoples names in the database and will your name be visible to your opponent or say boxer on the meters like in previous fight nights?

Brizzo: There is an audio name database that Tessitore and Atlas announce. The name on the trunks will appear as long as it is not rejected for profanity reasons. I believe the meters display the XBL gamertag or PSN name.
Q: When you import CABs that will be CPU controlled into legacy mode will their attributes change and can you set their record before you start the legacy. Ex. I create Margarito, can I make his record 37-6 and have it stay that way when I import him as a CPU controlled CAB?

Brizzo: The boxers retain their attributes, but you can't create their records. Otherwise they would retire super-early and by the time you fought them their record would have changed anyway.

The amount of punches Jones Jr throws is stupid. Looks like Street Fighter.

Q: Could we please get a list of all the sliders we will get?

Brizzo: In the final version there is a Slider for Boxer Speed, Boxer Power, Boxer Toughness, Referee Foul Awareness, Referee Damage Awareness, CPU Punch Output, CPU Offensive Awareness and CPU Defensive Awareness.

;)

More worrying for me from the video was the repetitive canned animation for the knockdown, looks ridiculous, not sure what happened to "it's all about the physics".

I think this game looks magic.

Im glad I dont get too annoyed by the small things you guys are picking out, but I guess its the same as I feel about the small things in FIFA.

Ive not had/played Fight Night apart from the demo which I think is pretty good.

Hopefully see you guys online soon for a punch up :)

These videos are so bad they put me off the game, but I know that's just because they let someone who knows and cares nothing for boxing play the game, I play the demo every night and about 5 or 6 bouts each night and it just draws me more and more into the game so I'm not too worried :)

Good to hear at least. I'll be playing this most against my mate on PSN and he is a real boxing nut, so he'll play it 'properly'.

Only thing that bugs me about the demo/game is the illegal move button.

when I play my son, he cant resist pressing the button. Im sure there will be loads of folk online when they start losing just hammering that button.

Well them videos have made the game look shit again

The way they power up haymakers or hard punches in general looks terrible and there still seems no power in the punches due to the stiffness of the player being hit

Which will make your win record look shite? Or does it just count as a normal win?

In real boxing it counts as a normal win.

Well them videos have made the game look shit again

Yeah it's amazing how a video from someone who doesn't give a toss about the sport can really make the game look like crap, as I mentioned it would have easily put me off the game if it weren't for the fact I play 5 or 6 demo bouts per night and the game is nothing like that when I play it.

And thats why I dont read reviews

I can make up my own mind thanks very much

I agree with Joe, reviews are pointless really. Especially these days where nothing really gets slated like it should, i.e. PES
