FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

If you have Game Pass Ultimate, and you have the Xbox app on your phone or tablet, you can log into the app and just click the "search" button, and type "FIFA 22". It will be the last option on the list and it will let you preload it NOW.

If you don't use the app, you go to "My Games & Apps" and this is what you have to do (but it probably WON'T be available until 6pm, unlike the app):

 
Despite the obvious looking flaws and having not played FIFA for about 3 years, I’m looking forward to this. I’ve accepted that it’s not going to be exactly what I want but neither was any other footy game before it, having accepted that change in attitude I might stand a chance of enjoying it more rather than analysing it much more. This is also the only alternative so just make the best of what I have.

This is what I settled on doing with PES 20/21*. "Play the game it is, not the one you want it to be". It's sad that it's come to this but we're fighting the tide.











*Before ditching it for PS2 games.
 
I am searching for a video on Dynamic Camera for the PS5 version. Also suprised that almost no body plays with this camera...

Thanks Chris, I'll have a look now! I was using the Gamepass app, not the Xbox one.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to lean into the game rather than lean out. I think we all accept that these modern games have too many audiences to please. We all want a footy game that we play all year round but we shouldn't force ourselves to do it. From what I’ve seen, I could probably play Fifa 22 casually. Like pick it up for a few games now and then. It is a shame but I’d rather do this than not play it at all.

It wasn't showing for me mate.

Go to Xbox app on your iPhone or Android device - search FIFA 22 - scroll to bottom and you will see it. Select 'Install to console'.

Note: NOT Gamepass app. And make sure you're subscribed to Gamepass Ultimate.

Thanks that Works through xbox app on phone but not on console wow. I want to only try the next gen which I can only do on ps5. Is it similar on ps5 then only available through playstation app ?
 
Ain’t nobody working these days?! :LOL:

When I get home around 5pm I’ll subscribe to EA Play on PS5 and download the trial as relaxed as I can be. Maybe having dinner in the meantime or a cold beer on the balcony. :D

Any info about the PS5 download size yet?

PS5 you have to sign up to EA Play which is only £4 I think?

Sony really need to up their game with services, Xbox is leaving them behind. I prefer football gaming on PS5 as well as I like the DualSense for football games.

But: Xbox > PlayStation this gen (so far!)

I work with disabled kids, as I've probably said on here before. But with this pandemic, I'm doing more work from home admin stuff.

A LOT of our guys have left this job because they catch Covid and then can't be around the vulnerable kids (obviously).

This last year or so has taken its toll on a lot of us mentally. It's these kids I feel sorry for, we have to be so careful around them and with what they can and cannot do, where they can go etc. Life is cruel at times. (Sorry for off topic)

Still can't pre download will check later.

maybe i have read about that but i cant remember. class job pal! i hope you get paid at least a decent wage... pretty sure you deserve more!

Oh I know that mate - just wanted to vent! It's been a fucking long year and a bit, for us ALL. Let's look forward, hopefully these vaccines roll out for the kids soon, Pfizer is looking likely for young-uns.
 
I’m watching PlayStation access play the full version and the game is far slower than fifa 21, which is a huge positive. EA haven’t (yet) pandered to the FUT clowns.

thx for the hint, i'm watching... speed is good, ball is free(r), animations are better... if only they'd get rid of those skating/gliding moves sometimes. this looks even worse when a player is standing and receiving a ball, just to turn on a dime or forward the ball in an akward looking (non organic) way!

i do like the PS access crew a lot! Rob beeing my fav from the bunch!
