FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

If only the ball in 17 wasn't so tiny, I would be playing it now. Always felt a little bit more polished than 16 to me, and had slightly less occasions of my defensive midfielder ending up playing as Striker.
Play broadcast cam ,it doesn't look/feel small when on that cam.
I really never bothered about ball size ,you get use to it after a while

Don't know mate. Watched this Pap's video now, and reminds me about it.
The diameter of the ball is tinier than the width of the touchline, as much as I love this game and it's physical system, this ball issue always hits my eye.

To be fair with the ball, the touch line is particularly thick. Thicker than my mother in law eyebrows.

But that ball is tiny, particularly striking on replays.

When they finally fixed the ball in fifa 19, I was seeing a few people tweeting "The ball is too big, it was perfect in 18".
And this is why there's a zero chance of EA going back to 16/17 levels of gameplay. FUT players would not be able to complete a single pass successfully.

I don't know what the common consensus is when it comes to Fifa but having picked it up on the PS5 (Next-Gen) for £25, I opted to give it a go for a few seasons of career mode. All I have to say is the player movement, shooting, positioning, etc is just so jarring and really difficult to play. I feel like I have wasted my money after skipping it for the last 4-5 years.

If only we had Pes gameplay but Fifa broadcasting, career mode, etc.

How long have we been saying that for? 20+ years... I think it's time to let go of that dream!

Indeed, it is a sad state of affairs. One other thing that has completely taken me back is the goalkeeping as well. I don't think it has ever been improved on. If you take a shot and the goalkeeper pushes it out to either direction or over the line for a corner, they immediately (with super powers) just jump straight back up at like 5x the speed of light and are back on the floor standing.

Even if you are happy tomorrow, remember that nothing from that presentation will come to the old generation.

It reminds me that Gymnastics lesson in school, when our teacher was trying to learn us handball (the sport) and cause we were bored, we ended up playing football with the ball for handball. :)

I used to watch handball on those random sports channels like eurosport when I was a kid, no idea why. Think it was when there was no football on and just seeing a ball going into a net was satisfying enough to make it worth watching, tbf the goals had nice physics

I persevered throughout the initial shortages, and managed to get the Xbox Series X from a horrendous UK retailer ("GAME").

But, to make themselves more money, they had ultra-shit quality shirts with a shitty slogan ("Player1") printed on them, bundled them with all the PS5 & XSX consoles (plus extra controllers, cameras, awful games etc.) - all at full price, no discount - and then charged an extra £100+ for your order. There were a TINY amount of "consoles only" for sale, to draw you in - which sold out within literally 60 seconds - and tons of all the others (which sold out within 10 minutes).

They still do the same thing. It shouldn't be legal. I was tempted to just give my money to a scalper, rather than keep such a shit business (ran by a shit human being, i.e. Mike Ashley) going.

The sad thing is - the console is brilliant. Absolutely love it. I just wish more people could get hold of it, so we could all have next-gen experiences together...

In my country, XBOX Series X is selling at around £670 without any bundle(only XBOX itself) ATM. It was about £380 on the release date.
However I'm most likely to buy one sooner or later because it's cheaper than a new graphics card, and I'm already wholly possessed by its performance, design, and XBOX Game Pass.

There's a demo code review here that seems legit, but it's in Spanish. Google Translate works pretty well though...

Hobbyconsolas - FIFA 22 Demo Code Review

"As in real matches, we will see the players struggle, hold on, lean on the opponent's shoulders or even make the bed".

So the CMs and CDMs are gardeners! Everything is clear now!

I want to be able to plant some potatoes or maybe corn (could depend on season), in the midfield area of the pitch, as I don't think it's going to see much football action. Perhaps even in the acres of space between the defensive line and the CDMs.

Together with players making their bed and Mane finally blowing his nose thanks to HyperMotion (tm) technology, it could be fun.

Look at the goalkeeper behaviour in that. It is completely unchanged from Fifa 21! Instantly just gets up faster than the speed of light on multiple occasions with terrible animations.
