Fifa 19 was terrible tooI didn't buy FIFA 19 and had decided to wait for FIFA20 (Last one I played was '18). Would you say it is better to just go for FIFA19 and update the squads?

Do EA actually know that they're doing this or are they just releasing this for the futters then they'll patch it back to its original state for the offline players once everyone buys it?
I like the gameplay, I think it's going in the right direction. The AI is incredibly passive right now, though. Waiting for the Day 1 patch.
Not sure if serious gif.I like the gameplay, I think it's going in the right direction. The AI is incredibly passive right now, though. Waiting for the Day 1 patch.
Does the AI actually give anyway fouls??
It's better than 19 from the free hours I've played on the trial, but isn't a particularly high bar.
Illuminati confirmed.Am I the only person that thinks it's ok?
Isn't that the story every year, first game is where I always get a pen, then it takes 25 or so to the next one?I had AI give away two penalties and a red card in my first game of the season in career.
Hopefully all the negative comments from people will kick ea up the butt, i doubt it as long as they keep rolling in the £$ whywould they bother
Not even sure how this mess could be fixed as it's gonna need far more than just sliders
At least ea's version of A.I has another meaning, absent intelligence, the players are some of the dumbest i've seen in a game.
Hey that's an opinionis the most realistic they've ever encountered in a football game.
Haven't been in on OS in a while,have an profile there,now I know why I haven't!
Sorry my bad.Nah, this was on the official FIFA forums, so it's to be expected!
I'm not so sure. The impressions I've seen so far on the likes of Reddit, the FIFA forums, and Operation Sports have been for the most part, postive. Someone even said that the pace and feel of the game is the most realistic they've ever encountered in a football game. Let that sink in for a moment.
FIFA is an excellent card game. It's a shit football game. Not much more to say.
Am I the only person that thinks it's ok?
Well shit, maybe my opinion's changing. I started a Champions League tournament on Ultimate difficulty, choosing to play as Dortmund, Liverpool, and Chelsea, and... I didn't hate it. Kinda started to grow on me actually. I lost every game - dunno if that's because it's actually more difficult this year, or just because I'm clumsy from playing so much PES and forgetting the controls. Best thing about the losses were I could see how the goals scored against me were due to my bad defending.
Right now, I only have two major gripes: just how far back your defenders stay off the attackers, regardless of tactics, and how still AI defenders struggle with tracking runs from midfield, and how they just generally suck at getting and staying goal side of their marks. The first bit is really pissing me off though - even when using the team press quick tactic, your midfielders and forwards... just do nothing. It means that even mediocre teams don't have an issue moving the ball up the pitch. Maybe this will improve for me as I improve, but it doesn't seem right.
But I'll give EA credit when it's due - there's a lot of improvements here that I like:
Don't get me wrong - there's negatives too. But I'm feeling ever so slightly better about it after my first play session yesterday. And I'm now pretty interested in seeing how this plays online. I still feel more at home with PES's more grounded and realistic gameplay, but FIFA's total package is too good to ignore. And if FUT is that much better like people are saying, with all that FUT content I could see myself getting into online. Especially if CM is as bad as people are saying.
Presentation wise, this game is simply awesome. Just doing stuff in the menus makes me cringe at the thought of going back to PES. I thought 19 was very blah in the graphics department but I'm liking 20 more.
Love that they thickened up the player models a bit. This is the first game in forever that I don't hate the player models.
So many lovely animations. The variety is superb. I also think they've gotten rid of some of the worst ones, or at least smoothed them out.
Really like what I've seen from the CPU attacking AI. Elite dribblers will actually skill you.
1-on-1 defending is pretty good; at least a massive improvement over before. I can see why people would really be enjoying this online. I also like that I'm finding it more difficult to get past the CPU defenders - skills don't feel quite as OP - but maybe it's just me being rusty.
Non scanned player faces have been nicely improved. This is honestly shocking to me, since FUT is mostly about the stars, who for the most part all have custom or scanned faces.
Personally I think the pace is improved. No complaints at all here.
Shooting is so much better. And gotta give props to EA for totally nerfing Timed Finishing. I hit greens regularly last year but don't think I've hit one yet.
Just went to change my settings to slow to try and give it more of a chance and realised that by syncing my settings from previous versions, it meant I was already on slow all this time. Fucking hell what a disaster this game is.
