Yeah I hate this. Anyone else notice that new feature in controls, above tactical defending? I’ve turned game off and can’t remember what it was now. But it sounded interesting

Now that I've downloaded it, one rather important detail. The demo was build on Aug 14 (see attachment). That's older than the gamescon version. The beta received a quite divisive patch on Aug 15.
The demo is *most likely* beta PRE-PATCH gameplay. If this is not the final release version, then the demo is a nice scam (and it wouldn't be the 1st time). I said there was a chance this could happen.
I am saying *most likely* however, people who have played the beta may be able to tell by playing.

Same, standard marketing from EA every year. Let's release slower demo, but then let's speed the final version up so we can approach people who prefer slower version to buy a full game which is at standard, Ultimate Team speed after the day 1 patch is released.

Might as well give this a bash until the PC version of PES is out
just played one game, real madrid (me) against psg, legendary difficulty
end up 1:1, but I don't think its more difficult
maybe just a little bit more difficult than 19 but still could be more challenging
I had more chances than psg just that I messed up and wasted chances
they shot one on target and then scored one
pretty similar to fifa19 but game speed is slower than 19
I don't feel much different atm but thats just one game, will definitely play more
hope it will grow on me

Downloading the PC demo. Time to obsessively test certain aspects of the game to see if it's been improved and then have it all be for naught. I can't help myself.

This is FIFA 19 before it was ramped up.
I still think it's way to easy to pass the ball correctly. No failures whatsoever.

This is absurd. It absolutely does not play exactly the same as 19. Absolutely fucking not.

Give us some more info, please. Getting worried over here.
Particularly at @fernadez's description of going from attack to defence to attack to defence back and forth with no build-up play, because FIFA 19 definitely does do that.

If you loved Fifa 16,17,18,19 your going to love this. If you thought those games were bang average your going to think this one is bang average as well.
The players movement is so gangly! It's just really odd and you never feel in total control. Anyone remember Carlton Palmer? Cracking player for Wednesday and EA must of really loved him as honestly it's like controlling 11 big lanky Carlton Palmers.
Players positioning is so rigid, Im PSG and the CPU is attacking but every attack Varreti who you would be expecting to be back helping the defence never comes back and just waits halfway between the box and centre circle waiting for a counter attack pass. It's incredibly rigid.
Graphically i have no idea what is going on at EA but it looks so poor yet that Frostbite engine has done incredible looking games recently.
Shooting - I have read on here how amazing Fifa's shooting is. Honestly it did not feel that different to PES 20, Seemed good like PES 20 but not truly amazing like i was expecting.
Sound, Crowd noises were great, Commentary was really starting to annoy me. He never shuts up!
Overall it does not resemble real football in the slightest, It's like Football v Basketball v Ice Hockey, Forgot to try Volta.

It's like the team is split into three units independent of each other. Players have no weight to them.
There is no way you can contain the CPU from attacking, it wants to run forward and you can't play any sort of block because of player positioning. The game is made up of 1 on 1 battles, teammates assisting begrudgingly and slowly.

Isn't this basically what they did with FIFA 16 Demo? From what i understand that version is considered the premier footballing experience and they patched it since. The Origin demo is considered to be the holy grail of FIFA code.

To be fair, it's all about frequency. There's GIFs of absolutely wonky physics every year during the demo period, so. Fingers crossed.

I found that the ai now would choose to pass to middle for teammate to tap in instead of shooting by himself
not saying they are repeating or abusing, just think they are now smarter to choose a better way to score

Ruud avatar. We're friends already.
I felt exactly the opposite: I couldn't play footie games with the older sibling of the Jet 'cause I couldn't get used to the DualShock 3.
Once replaced the DS3 with a Xbox 360 controller replica, everything's got just 10x better.
To each his own I guess. I still consider the Xbox 360 xontroller the best around (even better than the Xbox One one).

PES needs to steal that right stick player switching 'ball relative' option. Just like FIFA have stolen the second defender switch icon. Don't mind a bit of theft when it come to these two

After playing 4 games of full manual, I have to say that they made some improvements.
From what I can tell from now on:
+ Better ball physics
+ The gameplay has slowed down, but it's still fun.
- They still haven't fixed the keepers throwing animation when it comes to full manual
- Handball can be turned on, but does not work at all..
What I really really hate is the size of the ball, it's just too small and it kills so much Imersion....

True, although at least fifa 16 post-patch is still quite good. Now fifa 18... I challenge anyone to compare the demo to the final game. It's night and day. So, I'm willing to bet the demo will not be the release version, but can't say how 20 will end up.
Wow, you could say there is some real weight behind the ball this year.
