Yeah totally different, It's quite surprising to see you base your impressions on 11 off of the PC version. The PS3 version introduced 360 dribbling, Better animations & more match options such as the net settings for the first time. But yeah, 09-14 is the period where each game took great strides improving year by year from a technical standpoint, But slowly the arcade philosophy creeped in more and more; subtly.I'm finding hard to choose which one to play: FIFA 11 for PC, which is basically FIFA 10, blew me away back in the day but got blown out of the water by FIFA 12 which in turn got hammered by FIFA 14, which is the only one that can really compare somehow with FIFA 16 now... But I find shortcomings with all of them:
FIFA 11 for PC is too fast for my standards, even on 'slow, and you often see opponents rocketing at you to win the ball like there's no tomorrow. @MafiaMurderBag I don't know which is the last-gen platform you're using, but... Is FIFA 11 any different on PS3/Xbox 360? I might aswell give it a try.
I look forward to hearing your impressions, Especially on WC 2010, I've been playing that most of this week and it's enjoyable in hindsight. Don't compare it to other or later FIFA's - Just enjoy it for something that came out in 2010 when PES was still on a hybrid PS2 engine and FIFA started to take a realistic approach to football, especially as WC 2010 actually had a different producer with his own core values he would apply to the game.I still have to try FIFA 10 for PS3 in a proper way (and I also have the two World Cup games to try, haven't played much with my PS3 lately), maybe it'll be the one to surprise me.
