Do you feel as if changing that also adds a bit of input lag?

I'm not 100% sure, but could easily be now that you made me think about it. I was so dominated in almost any duel by inferior teams (even stuff not really much related to acceleration, just like technically dribbling or shielding the ball) that I wouldn't be surprised for something like this to have happened.

Apparently you are right. Messing with the speed and accel slider makes lower rated players dribble like Messi/Hazard and makes your player have a huge delay on dribbling.
 
Thats weird whenever i watch cpu vs cpu play, City/Arsenal/PSG/Barca never play possession games. They are just a bit less direct and the possession stat ends at around 50-50. CM/Story could be different?
 
Career mode ruined. Had about 5 players signed on pre-contracts that haven't gone through in the summer window. What an awful bug for something you have invested time in.

Heading for goal now feels really weightless, floaty and slow after the patch. A real shame as i was really enjoying heading before the patch. Overall the shooting mechanics in general feel off to me. Like the animations don't match what you are inputting and reactions are a lot less contextual than before.

Game feels slightly faster too.

I did some reading and the bug only happens if you have the first transfer window disabled. The players will eventually sign for you in the next transfer window, which will be the winter of season 2.

This is not just players signed on a free when then their contracts are expiring - it also players bought while the transfer window is closed which makes it a much bigger deal.

It's incredibly frustrating because the main reason I bought the players when I did is because my transfer budget does not carry over to the following season (which is another thing that hasn't been fixed for years!).

The word from EA is that it will 'hopefully' be fixed, and will 'hopefully' mean a career mode will not need to be restarted.
 
Not experiencing an increase in game speed since the patch.

EA need to bring back the sound of the ball being kicked though.
 
Has the Fifa commentary always been this bad? I just assumed coming from PES that it would be better. It is, but only slightly.
 
working on AI sliders now after using the update, i basically want to tighten up the pitch but have the better teams play like better teams and it still be possible to beat the bad teams , hopefully using the midfield DMs more

I play with matts sliders but not betas, first he releases. only change sprint to 25, pass speed 30 and pass error 70, all these changes for me and cpu. I play on classic cam and I can say this is closest thing to real match on tv I experienced on any game. with this setup there is clear difference between players and teams also pace is amazing. scored some wonderful goals that make me jump from the chair :) and also playing full manual and world class becouse that matters when setting sliders... try it, can be good start point :)

Nice! Got a video of it, by any chance? Would love to try. I'm working on a slider set myself at the moment, getting really close to something that feels pretty damn good. Would love to try yours as well though. It would be ace if you could save and upload slider sets indeed.

to be honest I rarely save replays becouse I don't upload videos. for the slider set, it's same as first set from matt with changes I posted above but I will mention again it was on classic camera. becouse if you use other camera maybe game will be too slow... try it just for one game, you don't lose anything.. in the end it's all about the taste :D
 
EA have put a lot of work on sliders this year, They work fantastically!

Full manual world class with some tweaks and it's football heaven really, Would have liked to see more fouls and more fatigue but so far I've been impressed really.
 
96% passing accuracy 6-0 lost against Crewe Alexander with Chelsea on Legendary. Time to uninstall this script-fest aka all defenders are Maldinis.

Maybe take some personal responsibility? I just beat Dele Alli's squad in Squad Battles on World Class with a team with no players rated over 81. If you can't beat Crewe Alexander with Chelsea, you're playing on too high a difficulty setting.

But I can beat Real Madrid with the same team on the same difficulty.
 
Hey all, we had an update to the sliders, it's still in testing phase, but here you go.

Operation Sports Sliders
World Class/Legendary, 10-15 Mins, Slow Speed

*Changed values*

Sprint - 50/50 - Realized that 51/51 is too much to get discrepancy between players. Fast players were getting caught too easily, etc.

Acceleration
- 50/50

Shot Error -
52/52 - Shot error at 52 to be a nice balance of terrible misses, solid finishes and chances for the spectacular.

Pass Error - 55/55 - The key with this lowering of pass error is because the crosses by the CPU were just horrendous. Not as bad as years past with constantly going out of bounds, but more so that every cross went to the keeper, or just looped up in the air illogically.

Shot Speed - 50/50 - It was getting a bit laboring with the low shot speed, especially since EA tuned the goalkeepers to save more easily. Needed a bit more of that "oomph" to the shots as well, and now, relative to the shot error, it looks good.

Pass Speed - 45/40 - I know there is a good reception for 35/35, but for me, I felt the ball just dragged on the surface. The CPU is lower here because they love driven passes.

Injury Frequency - 50/50

Injury Severity - 50/50

GK Ability - 42/42 - Lowered just a tad to make up for the GK saving everything under the sun. Still may need a look because they tend to catch every side footed shot that is headed for the top corner.

Marking - 40/51 - Started to see Defensive Angle Animation (DAA, when the defending CPU player takes a terrible angle to the ball, most of the time happens to high aggression teams). As a result, marking just got a bump in marking to 51. On the user side, 40 is still solid, which allows the user to make the defensive decisions versus higher marking where the teammate AI just wants to follow players everywhere.

Run Frequency - 50/50 - With the adjustment to pass speed, and the line values, there is no need to handicap the CPU with a lower run frequency. Thankfully the driven pass is lessened, so now the CPU has to find these players that are making their runs. In addition, it was found that the run frequency affects some physicality chances as well, since on a lower setting, there are not enough players up the pitch - thuse not enough opportunity for physicality.

Height - 52/50 - Bumped up slightly for the user as the defensive line just could not reach the CPU's attacker. Now, they are at least much closer, and it is up to the user to make the next move. Yes, you may still have to manually move the CB, but there will also moments where they get there on their own.

Length - 45/44 - Very subtle change, but made a big difference in the CPU's attack. They are more calm, less direct, and actually pass the ball back if they don't have any options forward. It's not to say they won't use driven pass, but at least there will be times where the CPU attacker picks up the ball in the defensive third instead of top of the box constantly.

Width - 48/48 - Lowered this just a bit to compliment the adjustments to length and pass speed. The driven pass tends to occur in more width in the midfield, so lessened the space has helped quite a bit. Have to pay attention to the FBs getting too cramped though, but this should be okay relative to the run frequency and marking settings.

FB Positioning - 50/50

FT Control - 55/55 Allows for a slight bad touch on occasion, and separates quality players form lower level.​
