Games released on Friday in shops. Surely simply games will sent it today or tomorrow latest...
Just seen this on their site....

FIFA 18 is getting alot of bad feedback from the community since they patched the defending. Have seen some rediculous goalfest scorelines which indicates a severely unbalanced game.

When did they patch defending?

What's the source of the negative feedback you're seeing. Seems to me feedback is super mixed.
 
I think the game's great so far. I normally play career mode, but not touched it yet. Playing FUT, which I've never really touched and loving it.

So much content here, its crazy.

Love the shooting, feels so realistic. little touches/deflections off players and keepers. Movement miles better and got no issue with the defending.
 
My 10 hours with the trial are almost up (just in time for the PS4 version tomorrow :D).

I have to say, it grew on me very quickly. This morning was the personal highlight where I had a quick game before work against Palace in World Class.

I saw lots of long balls from them where as I dominated possession and the chances. I had two goals ruled out for offside, and hit the post twice. Yet they still managed to nick the game 0 - 1.

This is what I love and what I'm excited to see in my career mode. I didn't feel cheated, I just felt unlucky.

I don't think it's fair to call people posting screenshots of their FUT scorelines "trolls" - they're not just saying "omg loadz of goalz shit game lol", and there's a fair few guys on Twitter too, again providing screenshots.

I don't play FUT but surely it rings alarm bells for the game as a whole (especially when searching for "fifa 17 fut high scores" on Google brings up posts like this one where people are complaining that they can't score)...

But obviously it makes sense to play the game and judge for yourself!
 
One caveat re me enjoying FUT is I've played only against the CPU, which is a nice alternative.

I think it even plays on Slow for me. I assume there is no slow setting for FUT vs a Human, it is default normal?
 
Found a bit of an annoying exploit. Works even on worldclass. Basically get the ball with a quick player in your own half, doesn't even have to be that quick, start sprinting, you get up to speed quite fast, and then it's only a matter of dodging defenders, which you'll do easily. The opposition have no effective way of stopping this, it seems. Scored five goals in quick succession doing this just now. So dribbling at full pace is very overpowered.

They're all as bad as each other, especially on the EA forums and Youtube comments, vile! To be honest I end up having to read as little as possible and judge it myself, so far I've been really impressed with how it plays, the AI is certainly a lot more human as people are saying.

I understand you being dismissive because you think it's fine. Doesn't necessarily mean that you're right and others are wrong though.

I'm not being dismissive because I think it's fine, I'm being dismissive because of the source. If posters from here have played the game and report big issues with the game (as Chris has for example) I certainly wouldn't be so dismissive.

the official FIFA forums are the last place i go for any information - last post i read there was on the lines of "EA can F OFF blah blah blah" its full of kids, play one game (probably online) then jump on the keyboard becuase they haven't won 12-0 ..knobheads on there
 
Online retailers get into trouble now for breaking release date don't they?

Last FIFA I had a day early was FIFA 16.

Yeah I have to agree with this, Official FIFA forums are a cesspit.

Like @Placebo said, it's always best to wait and judge a game for yourself. What is steak to one man might taste different to another.

Personal taste, do you prefer online or offline, faster or slower gameplay? Etc etc
