Anyone watched barca vs valencia will see how when it s hard to break the defense the way ur gonna score is the way u always think of, passing the ball to the lrft back which enters the penalty area to pass it back to messi and messi low shot in the corner, so even in a videogame sometimes u r gonna search to score in the same way u always think which is to u the easiest way. Even the valencia goals were same thing pass to the left forward and shot in the corner

I played a bit updated fifa because i wanted to play with a friend online, with matt10 sliders and i'm not sure now if the vanilla version is really better or if it is placebo effect.

I went back to vanilla on ps4 but it was a pain with the squads and it messed up my master league..went back with my own sliders and enjoyed it just as much as ever

Yeah i think i'll continue with updated version for now.

I played an euro with germany. Was kicked out 3-2 after extra time by England in the semi-finals. The results were pretty realistic. Only unrealistic thing was Walcott double against me ahah i guess this game cannot be perfect.

yeah, i'm playing with matt10's sliders aswell and really enjoying it, it's miles better than pes 2016 in almost every department
only thing i don't like is that players don't always play according to their instructions, for example my cm who's been told to stay back always charges forward. any fix to that?

I'm absolutely loving FIFA again, and it has felt much less like 1.05 lately. I am getting back to streaming it since I've personally modified my sliders.

That my mate is what's holding back the game this year. Tactics. You could ask your players to do certain things and they still act random. It's the same with Custom Tactics too. You could sometimes see players drifting wide and that's not because you told them to.

We're in April and 17 will be revealed in a month. The only thing we can hope is that they are going the sim route this year. Priority to individuality and tactics. That is what is needed. It's about time.

After playing many games using mat10 sliders all i can say is one thing which needs to be fixed.
The keepers still make rediculous catches from pile drivers inside the area which is totally unrealistic even at 18 keeper ability, these high shots inside the area cannot be caught, these should be parried away or up over the crossbar, it is totslly frustrating when u work hard to build a move only to see after u whole effort ur high shot insjde the area being caugbt by the keeper like nothing, the keepers need to have this parrying option applied more much more when shots from inside the area happen, this is the only gripe i have on this game.

So he was originaly a Spurs player. Its currently 2019 in my career, good to see some reasonable decisions, just like the Suarez-Neymar-Messi trio still lives in Barca. They have smashed me in the CL Final 3-1. THE GAME PLAYED TOTALLY DIFFERENTLY THERE, like with more player individuality...need to get those Final game play stile in regular games somehow on PC with the cl.ini file.

Barca wants to buy De Gea (rated 89, worth 38million) for 54 million...tempted to sell him to buy a decent GK for 30million but im too lazy to scout.

Anywho i didnt sell him, i need him to win the BPL. BTW anyone else struggling to play in rain?

Yeah I hate it, completely changes the game for the worse. Especially as your players play worse because of the conditions, but the cpu can still turn the same,so you end up running past them 10 yards every time. Added to this your players cant pass the ball to each other, it either gets held up or for some reason their accuracy just deserts them.

Would prefer it if it was more just a visual effect, I've see what they're trying to do, but for a game where the cpu has a massive advantage already (especially with it's turning cirlce) it doesn't work. I usually cahnge the conditions if I remember to before the game kicks off.

Evening chaps, been a while since last been on here....

Anyway 7 months in and still not sure how I feel about FIFA 16.

Fundamentally the mechanics are a lot more balanced than last year, more than any previous football games, yet it won't sustain my interest beyond one or two matches.

Can't quite put my finger on why but I think it comes down to predictability and lack of spontaneity. FIFA 15 was manic and hugely unbalanced, but you were more in control of your own destiny making it more tense and exciting.

Defending is too automated. It's too easy to mow down the opposition with heavy pressure without worrying about getting caught out. This along with the wider interception range means the ball is constantly being turned over high up the pitch. It suffocates the game, as what may look like an safe pass suddenly becomes more of a risk.

As a consequence the patterns of play become more predictable and the feeling I'm playing on auto-pilot means im not really immersed in the game. FIFA 15 was objectively a worse game and perhaps more frustrating, but for me it was much more interesting.

The game's other flaw is the poor AI positioning. CDMs shouldn't be leading the attack if instructed to stay back. Full backs shouldn't be swapping sides. It's the hardest thing to code but if they could implement tactical intelligence into teams and players it would be a huge leap forward. I want more differientate between how teams set-up and how individual players ancitipate the play depending on their mental awareness.

Aside from that everything else feels more fleshed out, in terms of postives:

Passing is finally contextual in that you have to take body position and first touches into account. Really hope they retain this despite the outrage from the learning curve. Occasionally find I'm directing passes when I didn't intend, but that just needs to be tweaked rather than overhauled.

Dribbling is also great. Big difference between sub-60, 70, 80 and 90 rated players. Plenty of variation in what you can attempt, and not reliant on pace either. Only caveat is shielding the ball should scale more with strength. Targetmen should be able to retain the ball better without requiring good dribbling stats.

Shooting feels a little off. Can't say why. Just feels less than controlled than before which lessesns the satisfaction of scoring.

^ I think the opposite it's so rewarding scoring in fifa, and I'm still seeing goal types that are new..for me it is the best football game period and I grew up a life long iss/pes fan and hated fifa up to 20
008..the career mode is so engaging and tough and I find the AI extremely smart bit not in an OP way. I'm having a blast with sampdoria

Like I said, I've been absolutely loving this game. This video is a perfect example of how enjoyable it's been.

Sliders updated (and in description in video).
World Class/Legendary, 10-15 Minutes
Manual/Semi, Legacy or Tactical Defending

Sprint 52/52 - I still can't let go of this because of all the benefits we've seen with higher sprint in the past (CPU recovery, non-controlled players automatically clearing and covering space, less jogging animation). Yes it can cause ADD, but I haven't seen much of it.

Accel 48/48 - The combo of Sprint works well with this acceleration. Still allows you to get past the CPU, but they recover so much quicker - and in numbers.

Shot Error 55/55 - No change.

Pass Error 52/52 - really got tired of the overly done chest-high crosses. This now allows the CPU to still use the benefits of 60 pass speed, but much more controlled. Keeping line settings how they are on the OP are absolutely key.

Shot Speed 53/53 - Just about perfect with this one, especially with 55 shot error, still see some nice rising shots, some very low screamers as well. The GK setting, with this value, allows the slight deflections to occur - but also leave chance on legitimate catches, and/or soft deflections.

Pass Speed 50/50 - Yeah, with 100 FT this works well. The switch from 60 was simply because 60 just started to feel too fast by the CPU. No matter what pass error setting I chose, they would produce that drilled pass 90% of the time - and it started to get a bit more unrealistic every time (players randomly kicking ball out for corners from their own half, hard drilled passes to chest from 5 yards away). Also lowering pass speed allows the fouls to come back a bit. On 60 the passes were drilled so hard that the players couldn't keep up with the receiving player, unless it was a bad touch.

Injury Frequency 90/90 - No change.

Injury Severity 60/60 - No change.

GK Ability 52/52 - Still not sure on it, but I want it to match Sprint, since if it matches a lower value where acceleration is (48), the GK's start to produce too much backward save animations. 52 still allows the GK to be aggressive, but it's all about timing because their acceleration is lower than 50. This is why there are more goals off corners because the keeper misses their punch or is in a bad position (depending on skill level of course).

Marking 78/78 - the threshold in which the players start only playing man defense is at 81. 78 results in the proper balance that if my LB/RB come up to attack, they don't hang all the way up the pitch because they're man marking the whole time.

Run Frequency 1/1 - No change.

Height 60/60 - Yup, back to 60 here, and the reasoning is quite simply that the crosses started to diminish at 50. The players followed each other so deep into the box that the cross would occur, but it would be lofted to head, versus drilled in into the space of the run. The only thing I want to make sure is that players are no being forced out position, so there are a couple animations (like a defender suddenly warping forward when they are 1v1) to look out for.

Length 60/50 - No change.

Width 52/52 - No change.

FB Positioning 100/100 - No change.

I tried your new sliders(Legendary, full manual, legacy defending), i don't know what to think about it. I only played one game against Swansea with Chelsea, and they were playing tiki-taka, perfect passing, 60%possession... Didn't see this kind of stuff with your former settings at least with lesser teams. Maybe other people have different opinions on it ?

Btw, do you play yourself legendary or world class difficulty ? Full manual or Semi?

Swansea are known to still play with Laudrup tactics, i.e. that fast tiki-taka passing. Some teams still do it, but that's what you get with the pass error in the 50's. You can increase the pass error if you want. I personally wanted to get more crosses and more pass variety in, and the 50's does that. It's all about personal preference at this point in the game. In this year's FIFA, you have to take more of the bad with the good, like perfect passing even though it's a 10% differential for the CPU passing % that is skewed (90% is actually 80%, and so on).

I play World Class, full manual.

Nice video matt, can you please tell me your camera settings?
