FIFA 15 News & Discussion Thread

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

OK folks its getting pretty fanboytastic around here, were better than that at Evo Web. :OOOH:

This thread is for FIFA 15.
Anymore of this tiresome FIFA VS PES kiddy bollocks will lead to a few shoulders being bitten, and no FIFA inquest.

Anyone who plays both games, simply restrict Your posting to the respective threads for those games.

Thank You.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Honest question: Were inerthia/momentum improvements mentioned this year (in interviews, already checked the feature videos).

And also AI / scripting.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

someone make a meme from this please
Found this on the Internet yesterday:
gordon_ramsay_urla_suarez_chiellini_%C3%A8_crudo_cazzo.jpg

A pretty free translation: "Suarez FFS, Chiellini is still f'n RAW!"

_anderson did you play FIFA 14 on PC for example? Interia/momentum in that game (after using paulv24 gameplay patch) is making players feel even better than on PES 2014.

For me, it was even slightly too heavy (read: I don't like players who feel like tanks to control).

Scripting is only said by players who play online (strangely :P) and when they lose (2x as strange right?). I do not believe in scripting, but maybe there is handicapping going on underneath FIFA core design. Balancing game out.

It's clearly visible when you play as low level team vs 5* one. It's all visible in .ini strings how that works.

Considering that player movement physics was one of the biggest improvements in 14, especially NG, I'd be surprised if another big upgrade is coming this year. In fact, one of my biggest fears would be if they reversed some of what they improved in response to people complaints that players were too slow.

I'm worried about AI improvements too. There are new tactical features that ought to help, but it doesn't sound like there's been enough of a focus on AI as I'd like. Nothing on scripting, cause it doesn't exist.

Definitely thinking more and more about getting Fifa 15 on PC, might see how cheap I can get a Fifa 14 key to try out some of the mods and stuff to see if I feel like there's enough improvements through modding to make me overlook my loathing of Origin! One of the things I really hate in Fifa CM is of course the blackheads for players and seem to remember there are photo packs released that add pics for lots of the missing players?

One FIFA15 podcast stated that the game is much slower. And the guys who were on the podcast told the devs to keep it that way.

I did, and it felt no different from last year. Didn't try the NG version though.

Never felt any scripting online, I'm talking about World Class/Legendary clearly having a "switch" to 1) read your input and act instantly (breaking momentum) upon it, 2) take control of your defenders for 2 seconds on through balls, making it impossible to pull your defenders back (no matter what you do, they'll run forward).

Those two things have been there since FIFA11 (on PC, yeah).

And I think it was the Eurogamer previewer who thought it played quicker. At this point who knows.

So you'd better wait a little before getting FIFA 15.
I mean, for FIFA 14 we have all the tools we need: Creation Master, DB Master, RX3 Master (all of them by Rinaldo), i68 Regenerator (made by iard68), Revolution Mod (by scouser09) and so on...

But there's a new engine under the hood in FIFA15: what if the structure of FIFA was different and Rinaldo/iard68/scouser09 didn't have enough time to code new tools, or maybe just had to find out/work out/eventually circumvent new compression/encryption methods?

Yes plenty of modders on soccergaming released tonnes of heads to fill the blanks in 14, took some time though.

Like all games, tools always delay on release, no matter what game choice I get this year im still going to wait a short while for the community to catch up.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Great stuff. Do they take the money at pre-order or when the game is released? Not sure I want to be paying that before I see more impressions and confirmation that the PC version is exactly the same as Xbone/PS4 (aside from the exclusivity BS).

Unfortunately they do take the money straight away for Pre-orders as I recall. But I would definitely say they're a reliable site with good customer support so getting a refund if you change your mind shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I will say one thing (as you posted about price) every year from 12/13 & 14 I searched around for decent PC price, I personally have never though the full asking price for Fifa was ever justified (IMHO). The pricing structure should be modular, I am off-line only and play career = x cost :) Joking to a point.

Ive managed for all 3 years to get a post release price (after deciding I would buy) at around £19.99 to £24.99.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I thought this tendency was fading away? I'm happy these prices are still in pratice anyway...

The tendency of cheap keys from key sellers? I don't think it'll ever stop TBH, maybe the non-legit ones will be shut down ie the ones that sell keys fraudulently obtained from stolen credit cards and such but the likes of G2a and Kinguin (main two I use) are to my knowledge completely legit.

I think the cheap region free keys from the likes of Russia etc are being stopped, last region free key I bought from cddiski was Batman: Arkham Origins, even have £10 sat in my balance there I'm unable to spend because I'm not seeing any bargains!

OK thanks, I've pre-ordered anyways.
